1728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: trading strategies how to turn 50$ into 100k$ in a month ? on: September 11, 2022, 10:37:03 AM
The ones that made $50 into $100K basically got extremely lucky. Its no different than those kids who invested in Gamespot early in 2021 who made crazy amounts of money.
It is gambling, nothing more than gambling. To do this, you are either extremely greedy and extremely lucky.

Quote
The issue is that its extremely difficult to achieve. Most that did it, did it out of luck.
It's not only difficult to achieve with such very lucky but also hard to maintain it. Because you get rich by gambling, hence you will lose all by gambling. Very few people can change themselves after they get rich from gambling.

In addition, because they already won big with gambling, they believe that they can get it again so they will continue with their approach and gambling. At the end, they might end with a worse condition than before they win their first big one.
1729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulations on proof of work might be coming on: September 10, 2022, 10:02:01 AM
Look carefully. The post says to facillitate clean energy, noise reduction, environmently sustainable miners and only if this fails they will slam Thor's hammer on them.
Just a stricter regulation, not seriously and last solution as a ban. You have a good finding.  Smiley

In addition, I don't think they have solid reasons to ban Proof of Work mining industry or in particular Bitcoin mining industry, because the percent of sustainable energy used in the industry is just a mildly smaller than other industries or at national or global scale. So if they go with a ban, that is simply not based on any valid evidence. People will look at it and say, it is biased by government's benefit, a kind of emotional decision.
1730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, an opening to incentivize opportunity for the use of renewable energy on: September 09, 2022, 12:41:05 AM
Forcing crypto mining farms to have adaption to become more environmental friendly is good and is a thing should be done.

However, if accusing that crypto mining industry is the main or one of main causes of global warming and climate change, that is absolutely not true. According to stats from Bitcoin mining council, you can easily see that the total electricity consumed by Bitcoin mining is smaller than other industries. More impressively, Bitcoin mining industry uses more renewable energy resources than other industries and all the world.

It's 59.5% sustainable in Q2 2022 (take from the source below)

Q2 2022 Bitcoin Mining Council survey confirms year on year improvements in sustainable power mix and technological efficiency

1731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 Bitcoin Traders Arrested Due To Illegal Trading on: September 08, 2022, 11:30:50 AM
those 4 people who are placed in Narshingdi are arrested not only for using bitcoin, though bitcoin is illegal in Bangladesh, but they are also being arrested because they are doing some kind of money laundering. According to the news, they first use some illegal and banned dating websites, then from other countries' people take dollars, then they convert those dollars into cash through the p2p method. Finally, they convert that cash into bitcoin again through the p2p method. So Bitocin is illegal, which means they did not pay taxes because of the p2p method, and RAB suspects they are involved in money laundering.
News can be true or over exaggerated, we don't know.

Trading when Bitcoin trading is illegal is bad already. Using Peer to Peer trading method on a good platform is a good choice but if you do this, trade with old and trusted (high reputation point) trade partners. Trade with them, you are safer because their money are more likely from clean resources, not from money laundering resources.

If you intentionally do money laundering, you know of the potential ending. Worse you also bring troubles to your trade partners.

With Peer to Peer trades, follow two rules
  • Don't trade with newbies
  • Choose old and trusted trade partners (with good trading volume in the past, good account age, high reputation point, good feedback from past trade partners)
1732  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance to remove USDC as a tradable asset. on: September 08, 2022, 11:00:08 AM
I have already Heard a rumour about the reason behind the destruction of Luna and UST.
If you paid attention, you would have known that Binance relist LUNA Classic with a first trading pair is LUNA / BUSD. Weeks later, they added another pair LUNA / BTC. No other pairs. Even after the fork to Luna and Luna Classic (LUNC), they did not change it.

Binance know Terra has huge communities and has big trading volume. When they relist, they only allow their users to trade with BUSD. That is a story months ago but a good signal for their strategic change we saw recently.
1733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and the failure of El Salvador on: September 08, 2022, 10:46:42 AM
Yeah, 1BTC = 1BTC whose amount will never change if it's not sold or used for other things. Because what has changed now is the price of BTC itself in the market so some people start making hasty conclusions by saying Bitcoin adoption in El Salvador has failed and they think El Salvador has suffered losses regardless of how far the Salvadoran government tries to stay afloat and continue to build his coveted Bitcoin city.
This is always true but does it help your or any entity if you can not hold your Bitcoin long enough to get profit?

You don't know how long you will have to hold it to the profitable date so don't bet. El Salvador President bet that Bitcoin will rise in near future and his country is in serious debt crisis. This is his mistake and collapse can occur if his country has to sell all Bitcoin to get cash for paying debt interest or other reasons.

However I disagree to anyone accuse El Salvador. They just made a history for Bitcoin and the world and we should appreciate that. Especially if the argument or accusation is from people (I don't say it is you) who got profit with the bull run of Bitcoin that is partially contributed by El Salvador legal tender news. They should say thank you to the President and El Salvadorians.
1734  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Scalping, my best trading strategy on: September 08, 2022, 10:29:31 AM
If you can identify a price channel, you can use scalping well.

However, you should identify that it is a good period for price to move within a channel. You should avoid times when the market is moving closely to a changing point. Either it moves up or moves down dramatically at that point, you will get a loss (if it falls dramatically). You should avoid such times and don't hope that price will break out upside and brings profit to you. It's risky.
1735  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance to remove USDC as a tradable asset. on: September 07, 2022, 01:40:10 PM
They just want to take action considering how competitive stablecoin nowadays, I still think that USDC was more decentralized compared to the likes of BUSD and USDT. I don't think that it will have significant effect on the overall market but it's expected that FUD may continue. I wonder what's coming next.
It's their exchange so Binance can do things they want and if they can take advantage of it, they should do that.

Nobody can require Binance to maintain other stable coins on their exchange if it will create more competitiveness against Binance BUSD. They don't want it and they have rights to do it, so it must happen.

So far people only discussed about Binance but they forgot to discuss that many other exchanges intentionally ignore BUSD for trading pairs on their exchanges. It has happened many months and if it is intentionally fighting against Binance (that I believe it is), it's fair enough for Binance to do the same fighting.

1739  Economy / Speculation / Re: Weekly RSI leaving oversold conditions on: September 07, 2022, 02:57:16 AM
Whether related to "fundamental news" or not, the technical analysis not only suggested the likelihood of this exact this scenario, but it also happened: a drop to around $18K to $19K depending on how you measure the move of the descending triangle. I've never understood the concept of not being able to use technical analysis, as regardless of the news, this was the most likely scenario at play.
Because people believe in news. They don't actually believe in White paper, core concept, power of the network, effect of finite controlled supply, possibly lost Bitcoin, etc.

Additionally, they believe in news as the reasons of all falls or rises of Bitcoin. When they have a few years in the market, they will realize news are not real reasons of market movement.

Quote
Given that (imo) there are enough TA & fundamental factors to confirm the low is already in at $17.5K, if price breaks below this, then it'd be fair to attribute to the macro climate. Especially if a bear trap low occurs.
Trap or not, if it happens, it will be actually a lower low or a final bottom. Like the crash in March 2020 (as some believed it is because of Covid19), then price soared to the moon after washing out all weak hands. In fact, Covid-19 outbreak was in December 2019 and after 3 months, we knew that it was already a pandemic but just lack of the official announcement from WHO. After WHO made a press conference to announce it as a pandemic, namely Covid-19, all markets collapsed.

Do people believe the announcement is the cause of market crashes? It's not!
1740  Other / Archival / Re: "If you don't understand where the yield is coming from, you are the yield." on: September 07, 2022, 01:44:41 AM
Education always needs time.

Money, I don't know. But time for sure.
It needs both for most people.

There are very few people who can learn from valuable educational resources, apply what they learn and be disciplined enough to not break what they should practice from their lessons.

Most of people in the market are losers and they need time to experience the market, digest their loses and adjust themselves with time.

Sum up, most of market participants need both: education and time. Even so, only a few of them can change from losers to winners.
