You have realized a $23,000 loss, which can be used to offset other income and lower your taxes. And yet you haven’t lost anything at all, really: You still own one bitcoin, and you can enjoy any future gains from the investment. Meanwhile, you get to pay less in tax and invest the savings.

I restored my entire hard drive image from a week-old backup to a new hard drive including wallet.dat (no activity during the week on wallet.dat).
If I now generate a new receiving address from the wallet and receive funds on that address
After all of this, I encrypted my wallet.dat. Does encrypting change replace all addresses from the un-encrypted wallet with new addresses?
When you encrypt your wallet file, it is a hindrance to access of your wallet private key. It does not change anything inside that wallet, just block the access to wallet private key. You can test it by - Using a same private key to import two different wallet files: one is encrypted and one is not encrypted.
- Opening two wallet files, with passphrase and no passphrase, you will see same receiving addresses.
It's same when you use mnemonic seed on other wallets like Electrum. Warning on Bitcoin Core when you encrypt your wallet If you encrypt your wallet and lose your passphrase, you will LOSE ALL OF YOUR BITCOINS!
Are you sure you wish to encrypt your wallet?
Never use that old wallet again, and create a new wallet to receive your bitcoins from your old wallet. A new wallet, not a new receiving address in your old wallet! If you want to use Electrum wallet, you can Sweep your bitcoins from Bitcoin Core wallet into Electrum |

Mbappe didn't feel so good at that moment but that must not be a problem if mbappe must have another chance again. i think that messi deserves it caused by he was also trying so hard to win from the france.
Mbappe is young enough to have a few more chances in World Cup but this failure in World Cup 2022 and the fantastic performance of Messi will probably help him to win the 8th Ballon d'Or. Please notice, 8th Ballon d'Or! What Messi achieves with Ballon d'Or will never be repeated by anyone else. That's magic! Can't believe I lost everything I bet on Argentina because of Mbappe but you can't even really get angry at the way it turned out, everyone has to agree this is the best final of the 2000s.
I am young enough to not witness the final match of World Cup 1966 between England and West Germany (4 - 2) and Word Cup 1986 between Argentina and West Germany (3 - 2) but since World Cup 1998, this is the best final match in my opinion. If we look farther in the past, World Cup 2022 final can be classified at a same magic level of two above final matches. In total goals were scored and in match courses. I know of course memory will always replace the coming one but who can forget Mbappe hattrick and Messi magic?
Argentina would have won this final more easily if Otamendi did not play careless in a situation which caused a first goal for Mbappe. Before that mistake, Otamendi already did another mistake but it did not cause any goal for France. Not only Otamendi but some other Argentinian players likely were too much confident and turned to be more carelessly since 60th to 80th minutes. A first goal for France is unavoidable with such carelessness and a second goal is a consequence of Argentina panic. The substitution between Di Maria and Acuna has impact too. Scaloni wanted to send Acuna in to secure their defense but after that their players became more carelessly and over confident. At the same time, their attacking became weaker and could not create pressure on French defenders and midfielders. |

It's not for all cases but mostly, posters release their posts that way simply because they are in signature campaigns and they mainly mind about their post count. Post quality, discussion context etc. are not things existing in their mind when they're composing their posts. Two above topics please read have some valuable points for posters especially spammers who are ready to improve their posting style, posting quality and achieve something like: contributing more for the forum, forum community; ranking up for themselves; having better chances to join better campaigns and receiving better salary for their posts. (4) Never mind of bounties, campaigns when you are noobs
Reasons:
- Campaigns are there, open then close, then others open and close, from time to time. You should never worry that you miss this chance, that chance, this campaign, that campaign, something like this.
It is the same as merits. Lots of users complain that merits are rare, I can not get merits due to it is rare. Nope, merits (more exactly, sMerits - sendable merits) are available, everywhere in the forum. There are so many merit sources, normal users, who have lots of sMerits readily to send out. They kept them partially due to quality posts are rare, not sMerits.
- Instead of paying too much attention, and time on hunting for bounties, especially bounties that have easy rules and joinable for low rank users; you should start learning, reading, and build up your accounts.
When you hit your finish lines, it's time for you to seriously think of joining bounties.
(6) Spend your time to improve your English, especially Reading and Writing skills
Reasons:
- If you can not read posts or topic in English well, can not get ideas of posts' / topics' authors, it means that you have nothing to do in the forum.
Remember that you have to get their ideas well enough to not misunderstand their core ideas.
- Next, after reading good enough to catch authors' ideas, it is time for you to express your own ideas in case you have something to ask for help, something to discuss, or something meaningful to help others. This is the time you need to have good enough Writing skill.
This is why I mentioned you should improve your English skills, step by step, from Reading to Writing. Of course, you can improve both skills simultaneously.
The forum is the place almost solely for discussions via Reading and Writing.

The two teams selected for the Qatar World Cup 2022 final match are Argentina vs France. Mbappe already won World Cup and has many years to win another one but with Messi, it is his last opportunity.
Croatia and Morocco will begin the third-position match in a few minutes. It is a last match of Modric in World Cup. Will he complete his World Cup adventure with a copper medal? |

Looks great! I am not fan of unofficial extensions that I don't use because of my worry about security and safety for my devices. I do see your good initiative which was done with great efforts too. My idea (not request) - Why did you make it only for Ninjastic.space?
- How about the same for BPIP and Loyce Club?
I mean you can build two more extensions for BPIP and Loyce Club and people can use one of these three or all of them if they want. Sometimes people want to have double checking. Hope that it is not my bad idea  |

Personally, I am against these charges and it affects the rate of crypto adoption. It discourages people from starting to use crypto. What is your opinion about this practice ?
Support it or not, as a user on a centralized service, you only have option to stay or to leave. (1) Staying with them means you will be charged fee for your inactive account. (2) Leaving means you should withdraw all your coins from that account to your own wallets. The second option is better as "Not your keys, not your coins" that is always a true mantra in cryptocurrency. With self custody (non-custodial) wallets, no one charge you additional fee because of inactivity. |

It is not a matter that you trust their CEOs or don't trust their CEOs.
A true and vital matter is, what algorithm you trust. It should be Proof-of-Work, not Proof-of-Stake, not Smart Contracts.
PoS is very inflationary and Smart Contracts have things for developers to do their rug pulls such as minting millions or billions of token from the air. With Proof-of-Work, their CEOs, their developers can not do that.
Only Proof of Work is not enough. It should also have real decentralized network which is strong with high total hashrate like Bitcoin.
I don't see people discuss about importance of halving period. In my opinion, it should be long enough, not too short, not too long. Because the market needs enough long period to complete its psychological cycle. If halving happens each month, each quarter, each 6 months, each year, it won't be long enough for market psychology to complete.
Satoshi Nakamoto is (are) genius by choosing 4 years for each halving.

It might be right and they may think that bicointalk forum is not helpful as helpful as their own forum. And also from their last campaign on the forum, they may not get enough good results. But as they have an active announcement I think they should be more active on this forum too. If they do not want to moderate then I think they should lock the thread by saying to see updates on their own forum.
As I knew, after Bitsler team decided to stop their long-lasting and highly-paid campaign on the forum [1] , they have never re-activated any signature campaign. Is my memory correct? Bitsler is a big casino and running a signature campaign is not a big burden on their marketing budget but I agree with you that they perhaps want to focus more on their own forum.
