The Twitter UID or Facebook UID can be one of useful factors to prove multiple accounts, cheating and ban evasion.

But you can not only rely on it to accuse anyone and in fact, you need more evidence to make your accusation more convincing. Anyway, you shared interesting tricks to detect potential multiple accounts and cheating by their social media account UID.

Well, that is something that is very good and that also speaks highly of you for your work in giving and providing everything related to KYC, it is something that not everyone does, some prefer to leave that balance there without moving it, just to preserve anonymity, Regarding what you say, KYC is already something very normal for me, most of all casinos, the first thing they do is ask for KYC
It is inconvenience and it is a very first feeling for people. However, it they really want to use that service because of its top-notch services, quality and other reasons, they will accept KYC requirement.

The point is they must have reasons to to this: reason to use that service, reason to trust that platform will protect their personal documents safely enough. Trust or not, when you submit your document to a third party platform, it's no longer fully controlled by yourself.

Quote
I cannot deny that sometimes it is complicated for me, because I have to live in a country that it is not mine to get certain documents, people are very jealous with their documents and think that as a migrant they will cheat.
KYC should be done with your own identity documents, not a bought or borrowed one. Because later platforms might require to you verify your identity again by a suspicious login, game play or withdrawal. If you bought or borrowed documents, I am sure you will be in big trouble in such situation.
1603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto-assets can have significant environmental impacts on: October 23, 2022, 04:38:05 AM
Bitcoin mining industry consumes less total energy than other industries and it has more renewable energy (59.4%, 3% increase from Q3 2021) than other industries too. So if you combine them and conclude it has significant environmental impacts, that is incorrect especially if you compare it with other industries.

It is still inaccurate if you over generalize it to crypto mining industry because Bitcoin is a biggest Proof of Work blockchain network.

The improvement of technology helps the Bitcoin mining industry has more technological efficiency from 17.7 EH per Gigawatt to 21.7 EH per Gigawatt (2021 Q3 to 2022 Q3).

1604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 22, 2022, 02:27:58 PM
God damn, it is so frustrating to be a Liverpool supporter right now. After the season we've had, we expected this one to be equally successful and it's turning out into a nightmare.
Both Liverpool and Manchester United are not teams you should trust and bet on them. They are very unstable with their performances and they can make us surprised by winning but make us disappointed shortly in a next match. That would be a nightmare if you bet on them because they just won days ago, and now will face with a weaker opponent. At the end, as Liverpool shown today, they can lose.

Quote
I really understand that it's hard to expect great performances when 3 offensive players are out of the starting lineup. But we played against a horrible team today and we let them control the game throughout the majority of it.
Liverpool played well enough by creating some great chances to get not only one goal. But they were not able to score even only one in order to save 1 point from Nottingham Forest.

Quote
Henderson did save them in the end, but Nottingham deserves the points today. And it really hurts to say that.
Dean Henderson saved Nottingham Forest and he is an ex-player of Liverpool. Without Dean Henderson, Liverpool should not only get one point but they even can beat Nottingham Forest and get 3 points at the end.

I don't think Chelsea can draw today's match against Manchester united not to even talk of winning, as you just said Chelsea haven't really played any strong team, the only strong team I can say Chelsea played is Tottenham which they draw, Manchester united won most of the matches they played against strong teams, the only match that Manchester united lose was against Manchester city
Maybe big clubs under estimated Manchester United and they played carelessly so that Manchester United won by counter attacking and brought nightmare to big clubs.  They have good results against big clubs but it does not mean they are actually stronger than those opponents. In football, you can win even you don't play too well or don't play with your best.

Quote
Chelsea have been struggling to win most of their matches even against small teams, with the way Manchester united are in form, Chelsea those not stand any chances of winning their matche against Manchester united.
Did you see the Premier League table? Chelsea has 1 point more than Manchester United and even the point difference is small, it is not true to say Chelsea have played worse than Manchester United so far.
1605  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Mining Will Be Banned Due to Fears of Climate Change? on: October 22, 2022, 02:21:06 PM
Governments can do it or try to do it if they want to but to succeed, they must provide solid reasons to ban Bitcoin mining.

Honestly, I don't believe they can provide solid reasons behind their decision. Their citizens are not stupid and in free world, people can have access to multiple resources, governmental and non-governmental so that they can not what governments want to shill is not true.

Bitcoin mining industry contributes to carbon emission so it has effects on Climate change. However, if governments say they must ban Bitcoin mining because of it, just to reduce impact on Climate change, that is not convincing. If they care about Climate change, they should ban other industries that emit more carbon and green house gas than Bitcoin mining.

The latest report from Bitcoin Mining Council does not support governments.

Whatever strategy you use, don't forget some protective weapons in trading

Preventio is better than cure and those order types are helpful for you to avoid liquidations or serious loses. You should not be over confident about yourself and your orders, use those ones to make sure in worst cases, you won't get serious loses.
1608  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's up with ranking on: October 22, 2022, 12:28:07 PM
I can see that some people have a high rank and some are lower, is it advisable to take advice from high rank members more serious than jr member and full members?
You should never auto trust advice from anyone.

If you auto trust or have higher trust on someone, some members just because they wear a nice suit, they are higher-ranked members on the forum, you will be scammed more easily.

Don't trust, verify their advice by searching and checking what they recommend is good or bad, right or wrong. About member ranks, higher-ranked members are either very knowledgeable and high quality posters or simply spammers and shit posters.

1609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important are exchanges? on: October 21, 2022, 02:47:50 PM
Bitcoins can exist without exchanges, but would you support the argument that the existence of exchanges are among the factors facilitating the popularity and accessibility that people have to bitcoins?
The existence of Bitcoin depends mainly on its network, its hashrates, full nodes. They are core factors for the survival and existence of Bitcoin. Exchanges are only one of ways people use their Bitcoin, for trading, for profit taking, for gambling with leverage and future trading.

Fortunately, you should know Bitcoin has so many use cases and we can use it at merchants, stores that accept Bitcoin. We don't must bind to use exchanges that are not unique places to use our bitcoins.

Bitcoin is a peer-to-peer electronic cash and we can trade it peer-to-peer, not have to rely on exchanges. You can use Bitcoin to buy pizza, cake, honey pot, etc. and you can use it to bet on casinos too. A lot more use cases for Bitcoin like donation, charity and more. It its network is running, you can use your Bitcoin.

I agree that exchanges give trading volume and the higher trading volume is, the more comfortable people feel and be ready to join the party.
1610  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: "Gareth Soloway: BTC to 3,5k possible" How likely is that? on: October 21, 2022, 02:35:52 PM
A drop to $3.5K is technically possible, but unlikely in the near future. Before even thinking about $3.5k, there is another very strong support level around $8k-10K. $17k-19K has held on strongly for a quite a while and I believe the current price range is where a new bull market will launch from
$13,000 is a last call in my opinion but a truly matter for people especially newbies is "What will they do if Bitcoin actually drops to $3,500 ?"

Now, they wish it will happen but when it happens, they will be fearful. Because if Bitcoin drops to $3,500, they will think it will continue falling to $1,000. It happened in last bear market from my experience. Some people are only observers and they will never be bravely enough to step in.

I will buy with DCA a lot around $13,000 but if Bitcoin falls to $3,500 and I still have additional capital from my salary in later months, I will continue to buy it. It is very great chance which does not appear too regularly. I won't miss it just because of fear.

I presented my opinion in Is Bitcoin bottom there yet? Fear & Greed, Pi Cycle Top / Bottom. Please visit and see more comparisons with past markets.
1611  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: "Gareth Soloway: BTC to 3,5k possible" How likely is that? on: October 21, 2022, 02:17:13 PM
He  argues that Amazon has fallen 95% in the dotcom bubble, and that the same could happen with Bitcoin.
You can not compare Bitcoin to stocks. Amazon is one of stock and it is in a different market than cryptocurrency market.

Past cycles and past bear market of Bitcoin have average -80% corrections from all time highs to bottoms of bear market. Please do your calculation for -80% from $69,000 that is an all time high in 2020-2021 bull market.

One more point, I don't say the call for $3,500 is good or bad, correct or mad. I want to say, even it happens actually, there will be two opposite sides on the market
  • People who wait for it, patiently and calmly waiting for months to see its appearance and they consider it like the one and only chance to buy Bitcoin at $3,500 in 2023 or 2024. They are winners on the market.
  • People who feel deeply disappointed and fearful. They will sell out and exit the market, with painful feeling and experience. They are losers on the market.

Who are you, winner or loser? Who do you want to be?
1612  Other / Meta / Re: What is wrong with this? Can it be considered a signature? on: October 21, 2022, 01:33:37 PM
It is not allowed. BBcode for signature is allowed to wear in your profit signature area only.

That rule prohibits usage of BBcode like if you are Junior member but want to join a bounty or a campaign with Hero Member rank. You can not wear the BBcode set for Hero member rank because of character limits.

What can you do? Copy and paste the BBcode to your post, with a horizontal line like I do as follows. It is not allowed and considered is cheating.

1613  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do coin swap platforms work? on: October 20, 2022, 03:09:43 PM
Well, I suppose one has to learn how the things go on each and every new platform they want to use, especially when it is about money.
Yes, they should but unfortunately people mostly want to complete things very quickly. They usually skip quick educational tour or trading tip notifications before starting. Then they get scammed and have to learn from their own experience together with loss.

And what if one just picks an available offer? Are they so bad?
They can be taker and pick one of available offers to start trading. It saves their time but maybe a given rate does not suit their interest.

In addition, depends on account and payment method, trading limit can be low to 0.01 BTC. It is explained by a general low trading volume on Bisq exchange too.

What happens if the person buying bitcoin does a chargeback after the bitcoin has been released from the multisig address?

Bisq only supports payment methods for which chargebacks are not easy (e.g., this is why PayPal and credit cards are not supported). But there is still a little chargeback risk with banks. If a bank executes a chargeback after the BTC has been released, there is nothing a mediator or arbitrator can do.

Bisq's goal is to make this scenario as unattractive as possible, using three primary mechanisms:
  • Account aging requires newly-created fiat payment accounts on Bisq to have lower trade limits, and those limits are increased over time.
  • Account signing requires higher-risk payment methods to be signed upon verifying the integrity of a trader before account aging kicks in. Until such accounts are signed, buy limits are set to 0.01 BTC.
  • National currency payment methods which are found to be used for chargebacks are quickly removed.
1614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you win so big on: October 20, 2022, 03:00:18 PM
As a responsible gambler, I know we don't let gambling change our lifestyle. If today is your luckiest day ever in gambling,on your first game you won the sum of $50 000.
First, will you quit the game immediately and withdraw all your funds or will you play for awhile because you are excited.
You are free to do after winning big but a most important step to do is withdrawal your initial capital. You must successfully withdraw it for two reasons
  • Protect your initial capital and avoid to lose it all by gambling
  • To test the casino that even you win big, they allow you to withdraw money. It helps you to deposit more money to the casino and at the end, you get scammed and lose all money in your account.

Quote
Second, will you use this money to upgrade your lifestyle i.e living big and showing off, even relocating to a better environment and forget about your old friends in your former neighborhood ? Or will you just remain quiet, happy and living a your normal way of life but investing the money into something profitable without telling anyone ?
Using your money from trading or gambling to buy real things and upgrade your life, increase your life quality is great idea and should be done.

I have a friend who somewhat won big by gambling but he is not gambling responsibly. So his wife created pressure and forced him to buy to land tiles, build a house on one land tile. You know, he did not stop and after 3 years, I am shocked to know he lost all of such and in serious debt.

People who are irresponsible gambling or trading are very hard to change themselves. They can not stop even they lose or win big.
1615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Repeat History ? on: October 20, 2022, 02:49:56 PM
I like the transition from 2018 to 2022. It emphasized the similarity between the two-year course of BTC. I believe that it could happen, and it can repeat itself. I think it would be something to watch out for before another bull run.
It looks like the same from market price pattern to market psychology but how long a bear market lasts can be different. It does not have to repeat itself exactly from price pattern to how long does it take for a bear market to finish.

Quote
Predicting the right time on it would be the key, as to how much it will decrease and what the bottom price would be as well. I hope everyone who has invested in BTC will still have the same mindset and keep faith in their investment.
We can not predict the market accurately from price to time. We should not time the market.

So it sounds hard now but it would become easily if you don't try to find either a perfect price or a perfect time to join the market. In another word, don't time the market!

Market does it owns work and we can not stop or change it. What we can is to change ourselves by a better thinking and better strategy after experiencing in the market long enough.

Invest and have a long term vision, you don't have to predict or time the market. Your life, your investment will become more easily and less stressful.
1616  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do coin swap platforms work? on: October 20, 2022, 02:37:24 PM
From what I know Bisq is one of the most reputed non-KYC (decentralized) exchange. It could be one valid option for you.
Bisq is good but with Bisq, problem is low trading volume and on truly peer-to-peer trading platforms like Bisq, newbies must never release coin if they don't receive payment from the trade partner.

Bitcoin transactions are irreversible and if you mistakenly release your coin while you don't receive payment already. You will lose your Bitcoin and scammer (your trade partner) will run away. Bisq will not be able to help you to resolve the trade.

Waiting time for a trade partner to start trading with your offer is long (as consequence of low trading volume) and it is another problem on Bisq.
1617  Economy / Gambling / Re: Neodice.com | Futuristic Dice Platform 🎲 on: October 20, 2022, 02:29:52 PM
  • Improved the start interface, including authorization and doubling the duration of the demo session!
Increasing time to use the demo session and giving your users more chance to explore your casino with demo mode is great. It will help your casino to convert guests, testers to real users on Neodice.

Quote
  • Made an automatic hourly update of the minimum withdrawal limits.

Thus, the minimum withdrawal amount of any cryptocurrency presented on the platform is now equivalent to $20.
It's a good update the min withdrawal limits automatically. How about withdrawal fee for your users?

Is withdrawal fee static and only will be updated manually by your team?

Or withdrawal fee is flexible and updated automatically too? On most platforms, withdrawal fees are fixed and only be updated after a while (maybe months).
1618  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do coin swap platforms work? on: October 19, 2022, 01:20:55 PM
ChangeNOW.io has bad reputation in Bitcointalk forum and they have never resolved it completely.

Their representative at the forum: ChangeNOW has lot of negative trust feedback and they have active scam accusations

2,5 BTC ($100K) SCAM Changenow exchange. I did not read details but if you intend to use their service, you should read it.

In addition, what you do is convert your BTC to ETH, not swap. Swap is on decentralized exchanges, with tokens on a same network (same blockchain). Or did you swap WBTC to ETH? Remember WBTC is not Bitcoin, it is only a derivative token.
1619  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betcoin.ag-$25k Handicapper Battle-BTC ETH XRP LTC XMR XRP USDT DOGE SHIB Casino on: October 18, 2022, 02:42:33 PM
I knew about Betcoin.ag long enough but I did not know the connection between Betcoin.ag and Playbetr.

There are some casinos that belong to the same team:
  • 777coin and Bitvest
  • Primedice and Stake
  • Sporstbet.io, Bitcasino.io and Livecasino.io
  • How about Betcoin.ag and Playbetr?

I ask the question because weeks ago, I saw event which was co-hosted by Betcoin.ag and Playbetr and last week, all participants from the [ON HOLD] PlayBetr campaign was moved to Betcoin.ag campaign.

Was the ownership of Betcoin.ag changed recently?

It would definitely be a bad situation if they shared information, but assume that there is a scammer, and you have the information of that scammer, would you not share it?
Should not share. Because you should not arbitrarily break your ToS as well as reject to protect user's privacy by any reason.

You can share but personal information should be hidden (blurred). For full detailed sharing, you can wait for police request and submit all related documents to police.

Quote
There are many places that share the doxxed information of scammers, like for example the launchpad pinksale does that very often, they usually have the doxxed information of projects and that means if the project does a rugpull and steals everyone’s money, they share the doxxed information of everyone involved.
It is not a reason you dox someone else. As a company, you have to obey to law and as I know, law is against doxing others. It is for the safety of a company and avoid any unnecessary lawsuit. In some nations, company has to obey to GDPR too.

Even in Bitcointalk forum, doxing is not allowed. You can read it in forum rules.

Q: What about deleting DOXes?
A: Nope, we don't delete them either as long as they comply with the following rules:

<...>
1. Personal information must be confined to the new "investigations" board (under Scam Accusations), which is only visible to Members and above. Personal information is defined as anything which links a user's online identity (username, email, etc.) to their meatspace identity, excluding links that the person himself has posted. It is not allowed to post somebody's personal information in any other public place, including in signatures.
2. It is not allowed to post someone's dox if it is especially obvious that you're just using the dox as a weapon. For example, if there are no remotely-plausible trade complaints, then the person can't be a scammer, and their dox should not be posted.
3. As before, anything that the legacy insecure government/banking system requires to be secret is not allowed anywhere. This includes social security numbers, credit card numbers, and certain account numbers.
<...>

Why aren't they deleted? Because such doxing is just compiling information about a user already available publicly, often via search engines.
