2061  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question for regular casino players. Will you use Lightning if available? on: April 20, 2022, 12:04:53 PM
I made a topic 4 years ago that asked if casino site owners and operators were interested in integrating/implementing the Lightning Network for their service. It had just three replies, and two were mine. Hahaha.

I want to ask again, and this time to the users. Will you use the Lightning Network if available? Or will you continue to use whichever altcoin you're currently using?

I am not very familiar about the Lightning Network. Only read about it a little from time to time, but never saw how the implementation in a casino would actually work. Could you maybe explain a little here in the thread what the advantages are over the usual casino design, and what the draw backs are? As far as I understand it the Lightning Network is a second layer over blockchain networks that helps in making smaller transaction between 2 parties without need to actually transfer funds. On paper that sounds very good, because many people trying out a new casino will not do so with large funds, but rather smaller amounts. If it is a cheap and easy way to reduce transaction cost I am wondering why it is not being implemented.

This is a good suggestion. OP can probably do this in a separate thread to explain the pros and cons of having and not having lightning network on a casino to help players decide whether to use it or not. There are several casinos already implemented this lightning network, but so far the active players count of them still remains the usual. I know it offer cheaper fees and faster process of transaction, but maybe OP could elaborate to what extent of usage it is that beneficial.

There are still few who implemented this which I believe we could enumerate easily. But this would be a good option in case a gambler wants an alternative for their transactions. Although it would be better if everyone would understand why would they need it and how they could utilize it if there would be any in the casino they currently are playing with.
2062  Economy / Economics / Re: Where should I invest? on: April 19, 2022, 03:09:37 PM
As a newbie in the crypto environment, with a keen interest in making a profitable investment in crypto, where would you best advice me to invest in 2022. Will an investment in bitcoin now still be profitable to me or investing in other coins is what you best advice? I understand that people are sometimes reserved as per not wanting to give financial advice to avoid being blamed if it goes wrong, but I will try to go through all the responses I can get and highlight the answers that are repeated for consideration.

Given that you are new in this field, you can start off buying bitcoin first and other top coins in the market which are considered to be profitable even if time passes by. If you wanted to be sure, invest in bitcoin first and then later on, when you already have the skills and knowledge needed, start diversifying with other coins in the market that has a good background project.

Bitcoin is still profitable. You can keep some for the long term and you can try to risk it in futures as well if you are into risk taking and of course, already possesses the qualities needed to trade. You will get the process as you do it on your own. Be sure to educate yourself before making any move because you could lose and regret it big time. Make strategies and calculated decisions when it comes to crypto. You can follow several professionals tips and maybe enroll in some paid classes to know and learn more.
2063  Economy / Economics / Re: Is crypto the final stage in the evolution of money? on: April 19, 2022, 02:24:47 PM
I don't know if perhaps i'm overthinking this, but considering the evolution of money from the beginning of time where different things have served as a medium of exchange and now currently banknotes.

On same trend, we are slowly witnessing the evolution of  money to crypto and i can't help but wonder if crypto is the final stage or there may perhaps be another revolutionary idea to replace crypto as money after crypto has been accepted.

What do you think?

Evolution is a continuous process. Changes will continue to happen in the future. We don't know for sure if crypto will be the final stage. Perhaps there would be something to be discovered that is much more better than it. Nothing is ever certain except the dynamic changes. Hence, we should always be flexible to adapt in these to be able to survive. You see, the top of the crop won't always be the star, sooner or later, something might establish a new thing to replace that or even co-exist with it having the same benefits or even exceed it.

But surely, this would take time before it happens. Transition and adjustment from the development and growth is always possible if people are willing to embrace it. For now, let's cherish the systems that we have such as fiat and crypto because we benefit from it and it's really useful to be a store of value and even payment method.
2064  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: April 19, 2022, 01:45:45 PM
The topic has been here for a while, does anyone managed to support it I didn't managed to support it since none of the gambling site I most play is not from Russia and I am not that active bettor. I would like to know if there's an impact of this boycott thing in Russia.

Some people did support it with their specific reasons. However, I didn't participate in this matter because I just don't see the point of this initiative. To answer your question, there would be a little to no impact at all for Russian community from this boycotting movement. The only people that would suffer would be those people who own a gambling business. Which perhaps are also innocent and aren't in favor of the war happening. In this case, the innocent ones are being persecuted by the things they didn't do or want.

It's simply unjustifiable to generalize and blame all of them just because their leader did something bad. It's their aggressive president and his military who did the act, not the civilians. Despite the poll surveys that depict high rate of favorness of the citizens to their presidents (which could be manipulated), there are still people protesting against it even if it could cost their freedom.
2065  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling exploit (LEGAL) on: April 19, 2022, 01:11:10 PM
Hey i found a vulnerability in a gambling website that allows you to consistently win money.
No bs. With a bot $$$ 100k a day (can prove mathematically)
The problem is i need atleast 20k.

Are there any high rep members willing to work together on this? I just ask for shares in profits.

There is no such thing such as this. If something is too good to be true, it probably is. So for those people who are curious about how this works, do it at your own risk. OP can do it and keep it on his own to profit even more and to avoid it being leaked to other people which could cause the developers to fix it, yet, he is offering and finding someone who could sponsor him.

In addition, there's no such thing as "consistently winning" in gambling most especially if it's just a glitch or an honest mistake that's been overlooked by the operator. Because eventually, they would detect it. So most likely, this is a scam. If you want to do it, then do it yourself so that there won't be anyone who would risk their hard-earned money for unguaranteed returns.
2066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine - Russia war crisis. Will Bitcoin be legalized soon? on: April 19, 2022, 11:57:10 AM
I don't discuss about geopolitical issues or war here. Let's consider about what is going on and will happen with (against) Russia.

They under the dictatorship of Putin, really invaded Ukraine and ignored all international standards. They are punished by massive sanctions on their bank system and many areas. Because we do know Bitcoin is peer-to-peer, borderless so will Russia do something like North of Korea, trying to use Bitcoin as one of their last resorts?

With Bitcoin, they can avoid traditional sanctions against them. To do this, will they legalize Bitcoin in Russia soon?

Let me say, I hate war!

It was said in several topics here in forum that yes, Russia could utilize the usage of bitcoin to avoid the sanctions imposed to them by many countries in the world. They can opt to use it instead of attempting accessing their bank accounts, which by the way are frozen in order to save the wealth still available to them, so it would be out of reach of the sanctions. And to freely use it for transactions such as using it as payment method when they don't have any cash left to purchase the things they want and need.

Bitcoin became really useful for Russian citizens because it brought them convenience amidst the chaos. They could bypass the sanctions since bitcoin is a decentralized entity, hence, out of reach of the imposed sanctions to them which just covers freezing of their centralized accounts. Although it's still too early to tell if they would legalize it, since they can still benefit from it without really arranging legal matters about it.
2067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you, or would you ever use a Bitcoin ATM? on: April 19, 2022, 11:26:45 AM
I've seen them pop up all around me, in small convenience stores and even restaurants. I was wondering if it's a good option to buy a gift for someone else, or are the fees too high and it's not worth it? Also I'm not sure how it works but figuring they give you a private key, and how safe is that?

Haven't really stumbled upon bitcoin ATM in our country just yet. Perhaps there's none in our area because we haven't really adopted and legalized bitcoin here, but it is recognized by the central bank and government, though not openly and widely in favor about it. They still perceive it like everyone else not ready for its in-depth benefits. Hence, the reason why none is installed here.

Based on previous articles I've read about it, there are certain fees you'll need to pay for the transaction processes which happens to be a little higher compared to usual. Maybe because this is a kiosk and of course, they have to maintain it. I'm not really sure about the KYC part, but if they really require it if you're transacting amount, it would be hard to drop off details just like that. Especially to those who are uncomfortable with it.
2068  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tonik Digital Bank planning to integrate crypto services sa app nila! on: April 16, 2022, 05:11:09 PM
Mukhang may bagong player nanaman na papasok sa crypto field at kahit wala akong masyadong ideya tungkol sa kanila, it's still a good thing dahil it indirectly forces others to improve their services: PH Digital Bank Tonik on the Lookout for Crypto Partners

  • May mga Tonik users ba dito? I'm curious to know kung reliable sila or not?

Last year, alam ko nasa Singapore siya nakabase since nandun pinakaheadquarters ng Tonik. So to answer your question, no, hindi siya gawang pinoy.

If isesearch niyo, may fb group sila regarding issues and concerns and very approachable sila. I commend their customer service if ayun lang din ang babasehan. Yung way of approach nila, very different sa traditional banks and digital banks na formal. They have this call to their clients which is "Luv" (love). In addition, nakakagoodvibes yung color nila which is purple na isa ring gustong-gusto ng mga customer dahil aesthetic.

However, recently, madami daming issues. You can freely check kasi nasa playstore naman sila.
2069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Fiat Will Always Be The Norm on: April 16, 2022, 03:23:51 PM
FIAT is too outdated for me because of hyperinflation, so cryptocurrency for me is the real future. But as of now, fiat will still be the main currency for the majority. In no time, cryptocurrency will be embrace fully by the whole world, best example is when Ukraine has been attacked by Russian, in times of crisis, cryptocurrency provides that FIAT can't.
2070  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I found telegram chatbox where traders can talk live about trading on: April 16, 2022, 02:17:12 PM
There are many groups just as you've mentioned, if you research for most of them, they can easily be found in telegram. But you know what, when there's a group like that.
It's unavoidable to see those people that are going to shill the projects they're promoting and supporting and that's what is annoying with that. It's hard to find a group that's pure trading information only.

I agree.

Or they will drop a technical analysis on a certain coin to hype it out to avoid liquidation on their trade, and so much more. Even paid signals on trading are like that, lucky if you're making profits out of it. It's still so much better if you're learning on your own, entering trade and making profits on your own, because it's less disappointing for me and acceptable if I will lose my money because of my own TA and decisions.
2071  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short term investment suggestion on: April 16, 2022, 01:15:29 PM
Guys, any suggestions for short-term investment?

This is kind a hard right now.

I can only think of buying the dip in Bitcoin and hodl it until it hits the price that would make you happy. Short-term investment is very risky, but you can do it in futures, however, it is not guaranteed that you will make profits. Trading in futures is profitable, but you need a lot of time and patient as well to trade that your wins is bigger than your losses.
2072  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Losing in trading needs questioning on: April 16, 2022, 12:21:09 PM
It is possible to loss all your trading capital even when you have the right skills and information. Losing it all can happen because of greed. Greed is the only character that will make one trade future on a very high leverage. No matter how skillful you are, if the market goes against you, you may lose it all.
The market changes alot, on a bad day, the market may decide to fault all your strategies and make you to become a successive losser. It is there good to trade with caution.

Not just greed, also because of lack of knowledge. Many newbies are trading impulsively, because they envy their friends who are making a lot of money already in trading. They wanted to take shortcuts, but it's not like that, every successful traders climbed the ladder of being professional. Losing is normal, not evolving is not, that's why instead of frustrating in your mistakes, make it as your steppingstone.

Exactly.

2075  Local / Pilipinas / Re: WORTH IT PA BA? on: April 15, 2022, 11:13:55 AM
TANONG KO LANG PO IF EVER NA BABALIK AKO TO JOIN BOUNTIES WORTH IT PA PO BA?

IF YES MAY TATANGGAP PO BA SAKIN KAHIT NA MAY NEGATIVE TRUST AKO IN ANY BOUNTIES.

2076  Economy / Gambling / Re: Watching Our Kids From Something That Could Dangerous To Them on: April 15, 2022, 10:03:49 AM
Her mindset on growing her children is not bad. It is good to allow her children to figure out what's good and bad for them, of course they have to be in the right age for that to be applicable, if not, then proper guidance is necessary especially if the games you were pertaining to is about gambling. However, even if your children plays gambling like poker for free without any money involve means that your children would be a gambler in the future.

A parent should only warn his children about dangerous games such gambling because it is addicting, because if you raise your children right, they will always remember the warnings you said to them.
2077  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Few Tips I learnt from trading that blew my account. on: April 14, 2022, 02:14:07 PM
This is a fairly convenient manual, first of all - for a beginner. I think many people should read this to understand their vulnerabilities.
.

The most important thing when you are a newbie is to continue to upgrade your knowledge and be brave to try, but since we are into crypto the most important thing is to understand that there is a significant price risk, always be optimistic and don't be greedy when you see profit will make us able to profit and become proficient one day .

This is very true.

The mistakes I've made when I was starting trading is being greedy, not making any technical analysis, and not setting stop loss and take profits even though I don't watch my trade 24/7 because I'm doing a lot of things. However, realization will come up naturally after you spent a lot of time and money in trading. You will eventually get the knowledge you want to at least make profits most of the time. It's all about patient, and continuous learning while risking your money.
2078  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: An advice for newbies and plebs on: April 14, 2022, 01:15:29 PM
In the midst of death there is life. I hear this times when people say it and about trading, even when it is bear some traders still place a buy order and get profit from it. Bear times doesn't mean every trader should go off the market, of course trading should not be in just one straight line but up and when it should come down is to sell. Trading and holding don't follow same way.
Wont be called a market if it wont really be having some correction and dumping state and of course there would really be selling points into those people who had bought early and this cycle would continue

and this is how market behaves thats why only the best ones who do able to make profits or do survive on this unpredictable market. Its understandable for a noob to commit out mistakes which is common

but once you do get familiarize on this place then you would really be molding up that kind of idea which makes you aware and do know on how to deal up with things.

I agree.

Very on point. Market is unpredictable, technical analysis only helps us to increase our chances of guessing what it may do. Bear market and Bull market is normal, you could make profits out of it, especially in futures. Only those stock traders are the one's who needs to wait if they bought in the dip or it the middle, because selling on another ATH is the only option they have to make profits.
2079  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Some Errors We Make In Trading Crypto on: April 14, 2022, 12:33:48 PM
Most of the people who recently know cryptocurrency because of their friends who are earning a lot of money in Trading thinks that it's that easy, that's why they do it with haste with mindset that if they invested big or even small, they could multiply it in no time, but that's wrong.

Trading take a lot of time, money, and frustrations before you could attain the level of trading knowledge that gives you mostly profits than losses. It's normal to lose money on trading in exchange of experience or for you to know if it's really for you or not.
2080  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Using a Stop loss "Good" or "Bad" on: April 14, 2022, 11:25:24 AM
I have traded and analyzed several charts and I have come to a conclusion that trading with a stop loss is the easiest way to lose money and not a safety net because if your analysis is correct what happens most of the times is markets go for the stop losses which takes you out of the market and price turns to your predicted direction after the stop hunt which many consider as market manipulations.

So is using a stop loss good or bad?

Do we have traders that trade without them, if yes what's your win ratio using this strategy?

Using a stop loss is good for those who have only small amount of capital, but doesn't need if you have too much money on your wallet that can withstand early liquidation. Mostly traders who put stop loss are those scalpers, and those who enter a trade and leave for his job. Using a stop loss is a choice, maybe it's not good for you but it's good for someone out there, including me. It's easier to re-enter another trade than to watch your trade bleeding out red.
