2061  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinsbit.io has blocked my account on: September 13, 2019, 10:28:01 PM
Two newbies (kryptoklerk, vlasrodz) with no past posts other than what's on this thread suddenly shows up defending coinsbit. I see... The alt accounts are already here.

Their blocked due to suspicious activity statement seems to be just an excuse to hold your funds as they're dragging it. If they really wanted to return the funds, there's no need to create a new acc, withdrawing it to any of your chosen address should be fine since as they said "You personally are not on investigation" which was also strange to me 'cause you're using that account, how can you not be a part of it LOL. There's probably no suspected fraud or anything.
2062  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Has anyone heard of binfinity before? on: September 12, 2019, 11:41:13 PM
I wouldn't trust any ICO nowadays with any of my coins.
So you wouldnt even trust an exchange getting into ieo token trading with the general trust of a company such as coinbase?
https://www.coindesk.com/coinbase-may-soon-get-in-the-business-of-initial-exchange-offerings

IEOs are just fancy ICO anyway, as you'll be getting the same situation once it's finished. The exchange that handles them doesn't guarantee that the team won't abandon the project since it is out of their hands. Success is "? ? ? ?" and still plenty of room to scam. I wouldn't hold much trust in it.

Quote from: rdbase
Many have trusted this company with their information when applying for an account requiring kyc and aml compliance so to use their site in the first place.

Ignorance is a bliss I guess. A lot of ppl have also trusted their info to blockchain.com for $25

Quote from: rdbase
Yes I agree with you there but when the other exchanges came out like cryptopia, cryptsy and the like they were not trusted either. So every site has to start from somewhere. It is just being lucky with which trading platform you go with so not to be holding the bag literally once these exchanges sudden close along with their customers funds.

yup and the reason ppl avoid new exchanges is to avoid becoming the sacrificial lamb. Luck does play a part but research (red flags etc..) is still pretty reliable like in this one for the lack of info and rep, it's enough for me to stay away--at least for now.
2063  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto games? on: September 10, 2019, 11:58:19 PM
If it's blockchain games, there are a lot in ETH, EOS etc... Go check them out at https://dappradar.com/rankings/category/games

But honestly,  the games I know are mediocre, I think ppl play it 'cause you can trade for real money and such so If you're not gonna spend monies, I wouldn't recommend it. If you liked a certain game, pretty sure you can find another one with a similar concept.

and another thing. there's an upcoming game which graphics are good (idk about the rest) you may wanna check it out: TEASER | Extended teaser
2064  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: EasyClub Review, any probability of it been a scam?. on: August 27, 2019, 08:36:20 PM
That's without a doubt a scam but I'm pretty convinced it's from a person outside netlify, that someone hijacked their subdomain. It doesn't make sense that a reputable service would resort and make such lousy scam.

Reasons are:

1. Something similar has also happened before https://twitter.com/xrpforensics/status/1140889401800761347
2. If this ec game is really their product/service, I should be able to find it in their main domain which I did not.
2065  Economy / Exchanges / Re: New Bitcoin Debit Card Needed on: August 25, 2019, 10:49:37 PM
@legendster, it's not yet available to the public.

When will the card be released?

At the moment there is no exact release date, although the release is scheduled for the Q4. Stay tuned for further updates!

@Zicadis, that's the first thing I noticed too, the site seems to be a work in progress considering that some information are outdated like the fees and limits and it still says Mastercard instead of union pay. I'm actually confused which info is still valid in their website, it's really a bad practice to put it in low prio.

The updated information are all in their blog it seems

If I already had a PolisPay card, will I be able to use it?
If you had the PolisPay card issued by MasterCard, you wouldn’t be able to use your card as the providers have changed. Union Pay will provide new cards.

New fees and costs
With these new cards, we were able to make some adjustments to the limits and fees of the card.

2066  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best third party to use when purchasing BTC through credit card? on: August 25, 2019, 05:51:50 PM
Where in middle east? (if it's fine with you)

I looked up exchanges that are based in the middle east and found https://www.rain.bh/ which is apparently already licensed

There's also https://bitoasis.net but the reviews I got are red flags
Beware of Bitoasis.net
Can I report BitOasis to DED?
https://www.bestbitcoinexchange.net/en/bitoasis-net/

I wasn't able to find anything about rain.bh but it could be bc I wasn't using the local language. I obviously haven't tried any of them so do your own research and look for more reviews, ask them about KYC, etc.. what I can do is limited anyway cause of the language barrier.

and they do support credit cards!

2067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymity with your Bitcoin Transactions on: August 24, 2019, 07:04:28 PM
You do not need any of these. Just buy bitcoin somehow. And deposit your BTC in one exchange (which doesn't need any KYC process) and trade your BTC with any other cryptocurrencies. Then withdraw your wallet or buy Bitcoin again from another exchange and keep it safe.

Mixer's is another solve off course.

I hope you only mean in terms of mixing when you said: "You do not need any of these" as some of them are vital and doesn't just concern bitcoin alone, its more of a general thing.

About mixing using exchanges, bear in mind that they keep logs which can be used to trace your transactions. Pretty sure they would hand those data to authorities if they're asked to.
2068  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Has anyone bought in baturaminers.ue? Is it reliable? on: August 23, 2019, 08:27:43 PM
They're a fraud, stay away!

Check the Contact Us page. Notice that the signage looks unnatural, not just the look and feel but the content too! yes, it's bc it's edited.

This is the original (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/414471971936812708/)

The VAT number is valid but whether it's really theirs is a different story cause there's no proof about that. The company name is just "BATURA LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY" not batura miners... I'm not saying it has to be exact but it creates a suspicion since I can just buy the baturaegirls.eu domain, paste the VAT number on the site and pretend we're a registered egirl supplier in Poland. The same goes for batura fishing, batura sardines, baturahouses, etc... pretty easy to pretend.
2069  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for a Partner/shop/retailer to resell my designer clothes on: August 23, 2019, 01:58:32 AM
Searching something like "where to sell used designer clothes" should bring you lots of platforms whose target audience fits the items you're selling. How did you even find this site op?

Is there any demerit in posting pictures here? designer items have millions of counterfeits and by posting here publicly in one go saves you time and provides transparency as anyone can authenticate the said products--if they know how to or know someone (from what I've googled there are forums who help in this as well as auth services which should be approached with caution, dyor about them)

you may wanna move this to Goods after you've edited your post or better yet, lock this and create a new one. Be sure to add the use of escrow for users to trust you.
2070  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is bithumb.pro a Good Platform for Crytopcurrency Exchange? on: August 22, 2019, 12:15:40 AM
Someone has asked the same thing in twitter (https://twitter.com/BithumbOfficial/status/1125581976197423104)

But since BGH One (.pro) was able to use bithumb's name, I guess there is some extent of connection between them although not as much as being responsible on the other party's actions like if some hacking occurred to either one of them.

Thoughts?
2071  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BUYER BEWARE: SESTERCE MINING (FORMERLY BITECH) SCAM on: August 20, 2019, 10:11:27 PM
@op first, can you edit your post and follow this format Scam Report Format (Use it to make scam reports properly). The other users should also add proofs as it strengthens the credibility

and yes the fake reviews is true, quoting this (Note that the linked ANN thread has been deleted but here's an archive of that https://archive.is/Ckabc)

The amount of fake reviews is disturbing, stay away op. Better stick to manufacturers

Take a look at their ANN thread [ANN] - ONE OF THE BEST WORLDWIDE MINING OFFER - SESTERCE MINING. It's full of newbies with the same posting patterns and typical bot-like responses.

Here are the first 5 users who posted, notice that in the first page of their posting history, they all posted in the same threads.

clownisme - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1028893;sa=showPosts
NEWICO INVESTOR - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2384011;sa=showPosts

enzo24 - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1028893;sa=showPosts

There are more users who did the same thing but I didn't list them as it's gonna be one hell of a list but you can always check them yourself.

The positive reviews about them on cryptocompare are also from newly-created accounts whose posts are mostly about them, check here https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/sesterce-mining/

They have a new ANN thread which is now self-moderated. As usual, there are fake reviews with the same alts in their old ANN. I also looked into MAIK68's issue and found that sesterce has been lying to them.

This sums up the whole issue

Hello everyone
I want to share my experience with Sesterce. I had ordered 4 Obelisk GRN1 units. It was a pre order and I would get them in October. Unfortunately Obelisk cancelled the launch of GRN1.  So I asked for an immediate refund. Now, although I won't get the product and there is nothing to wait for, Sesterce says I must will not get my money back until October. Has anyone ordered the same product or had a similar issue? Has anyone been reimbursed from Sesterce or expects to be reimbursed? I would be really interested in letting me know your experience.

Good day sir,

Have you been able to get in touch with our support team in order to voice your concerns?
Unfortunately, despite the fact that Obelisk has indeed reimbursed its individuam clients, it has yet to reimburse the firms which ordered their batches.
As an entreprise, we have to go through our insurance in order to proceed to all the refunds of our clients.
You can contact our support team on our website if you ave any further questions of queries, they will be happy to answer you.

And so I asked a staff from obelisk to confirm the authenticity of sesterce/bitech statement (pic I sent https://i.snipboard.io/lXsYkG.jpg)

You can find steve at obelisk's discord server. Invite link is at the bottom of their site
2072  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Subscription Model for Crypto Exchange on: August 20, 2019, 01:27:38 AM
well uhh, users are technically paying trading fees through the monthly subscription...

My biggest concern is how is the monthly subscription going to establish an advantage for both the exchange as it has to profit enough and to your users in terms of savings over using other exchanges?

Anyone could only give an estimate on how much $$$ they trade every month which means it'll be a hit or miss when it comes to reaching near their cap so I feel like users would spend more on fees in your exchange. And if you make the subscription cheap, wouldn't it affect your profit and the quality of the service you're providing?

Lastly, it's uncomfy to disclose that info where every post can be seen by anyone. Better get a survey form that offers some extent of anonymity. It also helps the data to be organized, especially if you're getting respondents from different sites.
2073  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New Cryptocurrency Company on: August 17, 2019, 09:41:16 PM
It's fake ofc. Checked their website and its full of unrealistic offers designed to lure users.

There's no such thing as no-risk trading. Even if let's say they have their ways to make it happen. Why would there be a need to waste time and recruit users when they can just sell/pawn their assets or take out loans since the money is guaranteed anyway, they can just pay it back after. The reason is that they can't

Don't buy the "we're a registered company" card they're playing. They're just impersonating.  If you look at the "Nature of business (SIC)" part, It is said that it's for real estate.

2074  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance hacked again 10k+ KYC (FACEBOOK 2.0 LEAKAGE) on: August 17, 2019, 12:01:23 AM
1/ This is old news!

2/ People should prioritize what really matters: has anyone lost any coin in this affair?

I understand ID theft is a serious problem, but the things a thief can do with a picture of yourself holding your ID is quite limited. What else has been stolen? Credit cards numbers? I'm using Binance from time to time, and after what Poloniex did to me (see my signature), I don't see this as a big issue.

1/ Old news with new information

2/ Every sensitive information is important and the more of them leak, the more a person is at risk of being a victim of fraud as they are more susceptible to more attacks compared to a person who only has email addresses and such leaked.

Like in this case, scammers can even use the leaked info to get more information like approaching you in social media-- huge number of ppl still have their full names on it.
2075  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: golden-farm.biz - legit or scam on: August 13, 2019, 09:31:08 PM
No need for reviews. Pretty sure its a fraud just by looking at their business model.

It works in a way where the users have an overwhelming advantage over the system which makes the promised returns unsustainable as they would go out of business bc they're basically giving out money.

So how do they earn and keep their site running? by stealing users funds
2076  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain.info wallet from 2013 not working on: August 13, 2019, 02:48:59 PM
Op has the old wallet of blockchain.com (legacy wallet) so the seed alone is useless as back then it doesn't contain private keys. From what I know you could only get your password through it.

@op, do you still have your backups? the .json file(s)? paper backup?
2077  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance hacked again 10k+ KYC (FACEBOOK 2.0 LEAKAGE) on: August 09, 2019, 12:16:22 AM
On initial review of the images made public, they all appear to be dated from February of 2018, at which time Binance had contracted a third-party vendor for KYC verification in order to handle the high volume of requests at that time. Currently, we are investigating with the third-party vendor for more information. We are continuing to investigate and will keep you informed.

We believe this is the same data set that was covered in previous news articles, such as: https://decrypt.co/4648/binance-kraken-exchange-data-haul.

Hmm... I don't think binance mentioned this third party during the 1st alleged KYC leak issue and they seemed to have only started investigating about them after this current issue broke out  Undecided

I took a look at op's history and wow... what are the chances of a millionaire reading this thread? it's very low

so regardless of true intention, they're not gonna find a legit one here. Even if op got lucky and had a few millionaires read this, pretty sure they already have their ways of selling which are more convenient and safer compared to a f2f with a stranger over the internet. It's just so risky when you're carrying a huge amount of money and some stranger knows it.

I have no idea but I did find these three auction thread/posts that happened in 2014, 2017, 2018 (this one's marked as SOLD). I'm not sure if they're all the same ppl or not but you get the idea, they don't want it. Maybe the new owner felt the same way cause of uhh.. low traffic

Hmm... try to not follow the satoshibox standard.

In other words

-get a better UI/UX
-provide an optional escrow
-allow registered users to leave a review to the seller after purchasing
-setup other ways of communicating to your users (SNS, ann thread here etc..)
-FAQ page

oh and wdym by "Refunds are not allowed after content has been purchased"? when are refunds allowed then?
