I think there are only two options for Neymar from now on. One of them is the MLS and the other one is Saudi Arabia.
Neymar is still a good player. One of the best current players if you ask me. If he can find a way to reduce his wages and stay fit, I do not doubt in my heart that Neymar would end the season among the top five best players in Europe.
He still has all it takes to be in Europe. Not many players possess the kind of qualities that Neymar has.

Of course he is still a really great player. He still makes a huge contribution to PSG in times he plays games. But the problem is that the number of games he played in hasn't been at a satisfying level for a long time. He faced an injury problem in the previous season as well and missed so many games.

Otherwise PSG wouldn't be eager to sell him I assume. Just look at his statistics in even 29 games: 18 goals, 17 assists. I wish he wasn't an injury-prone player. If he was there for PSG in the Champions League more often then their title chance would have even higher too.
2102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 23, 2023, 07:33:52 AM
~snip~

He is a very successful quality manager. He just needs a lot of money to build the kind of a team he would like.  Grin  He can find that kind of a budget at only rich teams as a result. He has finally achieved the Champions League title with Manchester City as well and achieved his main target too.
But remember, he also needs time to make a championship team. So not only the money factor, but there are improvements that take a long time. Indeed, for the EPL he has dominated since he came to England. But for Europe it took him more than 7 years. 7 years to win UCL. With the conditions, experience and champions gained, he will become the coach of a top club and automatically have a lot of money to spend. Besides, he won't be able to go to a small club

Of course winning a domestic league title is one thing and winning the Champions League title is another. The Champions League is the biggest challenge for even the best teams in Europe. Guardiola made a big effort to achieve that title with his usual game plan and strategies for years.

Maybe if he made slight changes according to their opponents over the years they might have won this title earlier who knows. But finally his system worked out and they won the title. It wasn't easy though as Inter resisted them really well. Guardiola will be remembered as the most successful manager in team history when he leaves.

Milan financial balance isn't that bad after signing few players and selling Tonali to Newcastle. His departure gave the team, the ability to consolidate the midfield and the attack line. Yet, I find the team still in an average position, I mean nothing will guarantee they could claim back the scudetto they won two seasons ago.
Inter Milan have sold from selling players but didn't invest in recruiting key players. All they did is improving the defence line.
As far as I know, Inter Milan has several attackers who are quite good. Inter Milan's current attackers are Lautaro Martnez, Joaquin Correa, Marcus Thuram, and three others, which I think are enough to have six attackers. What needs to be improved is teamwork to continue to provide support to the attacking players to always provide good enough passes, and the task of the attacking players must be to take the best possible opportunities to score goals.

I'm not sure as much as you about that. Because Inter have parted ways with Dzeko and Lukaku both at the same time. Thuram is the only player who has been signed for the area this summer. I think Inter can sign another striker to finish all the signings for that area. Bringing back Lukaku was priority but he is not even a target anymore.

They would look for a favorable transfer as much as possible. I don't think Inter would spend so much money for a striker transfer now and there is no need for that as well. A player similar to Lukaku's level would be enough for them.

I have seen a rumour linking Neymar with Real Madrid. Is there any truth in this? Because it doesn't feel like Real Madrid would like to sign him by paying his high demands now. He has been an injury-prone player for a long time as you know. This would be a risky transfer for Real Madrid honestly. It would be the same for any other European team as well.

I think there are only two options for Neymar from now on. One of them is the MLS and the other one is Saudi Arabia.

Things are clear about Mbappe from now on. PSG are doing their best to sell him this summer rather than letting him leave for free. But for now the number of teams Mbappe can accept to join is limited. Real Madrid come at the top of the list and maybe a few Premier League teams would also be in that list.

But there is no offer yet. Only Saudi teams are rumoured that's all. I'm pretty confident Mbappe won't accept them as well. Some time ago Liverpool and Arsenal were also rumoured with Mbappe but I don't know if we see an official offer by any side. If not then Real Madrid should be signing him on free transfer.

Honestly the qualifying results made me really happy. Because it feels really good to see different things sometimes as the whole season is under Verstappen's dominance for a long time. I didn't believe in Hamilton to get the pole position honestly but he made me really surprised. I even still thought about whether Verstappen was going for one more attempt but thankfully he didn't.  Grin

It was a really small gap maybe but the most important thing is to get that pole. The start is likely to be quite interesting. I hope we don't see a crash between these two like in the old times. I just want to see a good competition at least at the start. After a while it shouldn't be hard for Verstappen to win the race comfortably.

As long as Pep Guardiola's demands are met at the team he goes he is able to bring successes to that team most of the time. He has been managing only top teams maybe and we haven't seen him at a lower level team. Most probably we won't as well. However I still don't think this makes him a manager to have doubts about.

He is a very successful quality manager. He just needs a lot of money to build the kind of a team he would like.  Grin  He can find that kind of a budget at only rich teams as a result. He has finally achieved the Champions League title with Manchester City as well and achieved his main target too.

There is no realistic transfer rumour about Barcelona these days. They were said to be interested in Griezmann again but he has just joined Atletico Madrid permanently. There is no meaning in spreading news about him in my opinion. Joao Felix is also another recent rumour but there is no way they are signing him on a permanent deal.

Maybe a loan might be possible but they might need to make some adjustments about their wage budget to not have problems with La Liga FFP rules. We have seen Oriol Romeu, Ilkay Gundogan and Inigo Martinez transfers so far and all of them are experienced players.
2109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 22, 2023, 07:48:16 AM
Milan's performance was really interesting in the Champions League unlike the Serie A. They eliminated Napoli as well indeed and it is thanks to their experience in this tournament too. Because technically Napoli were the better playing side in that matchup but Milan still found a way to get past them. Reaching the semi finals there was definitely a success for Milan.

But on the other hand they might not have been able to qualify for the Champions League again if it weren't for Juventus' 10-point punishment. Juventus were going to take their place in that case. Milan should make a good improvement in their Serie A performance this time.
Milan's achievements, big and small, is amazing. Smart play and will powered their Champions League performance. Milan won despite Naples' superiority. Its thrilling.

They performed poorly in Serie A. Milan's good play was overshadowed by Juventus' poor penalty. Fans must find this hard to accept.

However, we must acknowledge their efforts to reestablish their team. Allegedly, they signed Loftus Cheek and Cristian Pulisic. What a game-changer! Remember Milan's Champions League experience. It written in gold, showing their strength and ability to rise.

Loftus-Cheek to the midfield and Pulisic to the attacking line are both really decent transfers for Milan. They didn't even spend so much money for both. Now they have made another signing which is Noah Okafor. He has been a centre-forward playing for Salzburg so far. I can't say that his last season performance was very impressive.

However Okafor is only 23 years old now. Maybe he can continue to improve his game and be better at Milan. But still I'm not sure if he is the one Milan have been searching for. I would have expected them to sign a more productive striker already.
2110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 22, 2023, 07:42:21 AM
I have been hearing about Bayern Munich to make big changes in the squad by sending quite many players from the team. However there is still no such action while there isn't a long time period left for the beginning of new season. If they have such plans they had better do it in time. Otherwise they might need time to have a good chemistry during the season.

Mane has been the most rumoured player to leave as you know but for now there is nothing on the table. If he leaves it is most probably going to be a Saudi team. Tuchel is actually okay with his leaving this summer so it looks like it will be the best for Mane as well.
I don't think Bayern Munich will want to sell sadio mane because they know he is still useful for the club even if mane didn't show much performance in the club last season,  mane still remain a gofbod player and will be needed by the club. I have been expecting change  of players from Bayern Munich.  Bayern Munich not having the right players in the right position was also a challenge to them last season.  This new season I expect them to form a strong squad.

Mane can technically be useful as long as he plays as a left winger rather than a centre-forward or with some other role. This is possible only if Bayern Munich complete the striker signing in the coming days. They are still trying to finish the Kane signing and then maybe we might see a good relationship in the attacking line between Kane and Mane.

But this is all an assumption of me of course. I don't know what in Tuchel's mind is now. Maybe he isn't thinking of Mane as priority for now. But I would have definitely given Mane a chance in his natural position. He can still be very productive and I don't know with whom they can fill his place strongly either.
2111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 21, 2023, 10:40:21 PM
The Red Devils had better be convincing with their offer to Atalanta. But I think they will start with a much lower fee then the amount Atalanta expects classically. But the Red Devils really need a striker as there is only Martial if we think Rashford as playing on his wing.
Rasmus Hojlund is quite expensive, his market value is €50 Millions, I think Manchester United need to spend  €50-60 Millions. His performance in Atalanta wasn't that good, but his performance in Denmark is quite good and he's still 20 years old, so there's a potential he could develop become a great player.

Manchester United need a new striker, they always lack of striker and Rashford is forced to play in this position.

Actually in today's football 50 million euros for a player isn't that expensive. Especially if that player has a good potential for the future I mean. Besides if the team to pay that amount are rich then they wouldn't even be affected very badly in terms of finances. Manchester United are one of the rich teams of course.

50-60 million euros wouldn't be found enough by Atalanta most probably. I heard that they could ask for 80 million. It feels like the Red Devils can find a middle way at 65-70 million euros to finish this deal. However do they really want him that much? We will see that.
2112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 21, 2023, 10:35:13 PM
Lautaro Martinez has long years ahead of him to continue to play in Europe. There is literally no reason for him to join a Saudi Arabian or MLS team in the near future. He is happy at Inter for now and he has become an indispensable player for his team with this performance on one hand. Inter wouldn't even be keen on selling him to bigger European teams unless they get a very good offer.

He was once linked with Real Madrid but it was a long time ago. I don't think Real Madrid will make such signing this summer.

There are more and more news about Vlahovic leaving Juventus.
Hard to tell at the moment whether they are clickbait or not.

3 teams seem to be interested in him, Real Madrid, PSG, and Bayern Munich

We have already known about PSG's interest and it is a really serious one. He seems to be a priority for them currently. But they are thinking of Hojlund as a second option as well. When it comes to the other two teams you mentioned Bayern Munich's priority seems to be to finish Kane deal for now.

For Real Madrid I can just say that I haven't heard of any serious news linking them with any striker recently. But Vlahovic should be a good option for them as well actually. They still need to fill Benzema's place in the team.
2114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 21, 2023, 07:47:19 AM
Manchester United are preparing to make their first offer for Rasmus Hojlund. It has been recorded that PSG also have an interest in the player. This makes me surprised because as far as I know their priority is to finish the Vlahovic signing. Maybe they are interested in case some problem happens in the Vlahovic deal. I don't think Hojlund is a priority for them.

The Red Devils had better be convincing with their offer to Atalanta. But I think they will start with a much lower fee then the amount Atalanta expects classically. But the Red Devils really need a striker as there is only Martial if we think Rashford as playing on his wing.

I'm curious about Leverkusen's new season performance as well. They have made good progress with Xabi Alonso so far. They were near relegation zone before him and after he came they finished the season at the 6th position which helped them qualify for the Europa League group stage. This is just a wonderful improvement in performance.

But from now on the board would keep their expectations higher from Xabi Alonso. Their target would be to fight for top 4 to earn a Champions League spot just as they did previously. This isn't the most difficult task for him of course thinking of the capability of the players. Consistency will be key at this point.

Joselu is good for only the La Liga not for the Champions League. I don't think he is quality enough to take a big responsibility in Champions League games to bring success to the team. Real Madrid's aim is to win the Champions League title every year. They need to build a squad according to that as a result.

There is a huge gap between Joselu and Benzema at this point. I think Real Madrid should definitely make a much more reliable striker transfer for the Champions League before the season starts. Otherwise Vinicius Junior will have even a bigger responsibility in Champions League games.
Yes, Joselu can't take the big responsibility in Champions League games. He can't replace Benzema. Ancelotti just put Joselu on temporary substitute status. As for Vlahovic, he is not on Real Madrid's radar. Harry Kane would be a good choice to replace Benzema, but Real Madrid may have put all their efforts into preparing for a super blockbuster transfer to bring Mbappe to the Santiago Bernabeu. This is a perfect alternative that couldn't be better. Mbappe can bring the royal team Real Madrid back to the era of European dominance, just like Cristiano Ronaldo did.

Yeah Joselu must have been brought as an alternative. He can find more chances in the La Liga especially against much smaller teams. But Real Madrid should focus on making their main striker transfer immediately. There are only three weeks to go for the new season. The earlier they finish this signing the better for them.

When it comes to who can be brought it is really hard to predict for now. Because while Bayern Munich are trying to finish Kane deal Real Madrid still don't want to intervene. Vlahovic is also not a target for them as it seems while PSG are making an effort to complete the signing.
2118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 20, 2023, 11:25:06 PM
With the Gvardiol addition Manchester City defense line will be much more secure surely. The deal is soon to become official between sides. He is only a 21-year-old defender maybe but his performance tells us the opposite. It makes me feel like he is already a quality experienced defender. Mostly this much young defenders are prone to making simple mistakes often.

But Gvardiol is really different. He is great at keeping a balance in his game and this is another attracting point for Manchester City. It wouldn't be surprising to see him in the starting lineup in a short time after his joining the team as well.

Real Madrid are really much weaker without a striker like Benzema now. That's why I'm seeing it certain that Real Madrid will bring a decent centre-forward this summer. But I don't understand why they aren't interested in Vlahovic while PSG are about to finish the signing soon. I believe he is one of the best alternatives for Real Madrid for this season.

I don't know maybe they don't want to rush this transfer in case something happens about Mbappe's situation. In the end we can still see another team trying to sign Mbappe by making a huge offer. In that case Real Madrid would like to save their funds for Mbappe transfer as they will need to spend insane amount of money.

Benzema was the main striker of Real Madrid. So losing Benzema will definitely weaken Madrid's attack. However, Ancelotti chose Joselu as a replacement for Benzema. Joselu is nothing to ignore. He is a very talented player. He managed to score a lot of goals even against a team as weak as Espanyol. So I would say if Joselu can adapt himself well to the Madrid squad he should be able to score a lot of goals.

Madrid management does not want to rush to get Mbappe into the team. They definitely need a talented striker. But it is also important to consider whether Mbappe is suited to Ancelotti's strategy. I wouldn't be too surprised if Ancelotti doesn't include Mbappe in his match plan. Because Mbappe plays a bit selfishly. He does not want to cooperate with his teammates.

Joselu is good for only the La Liga not for the Champions League. I don't think he is quality enough to take a big responsibility in Champions League games to bring success to the team. Real Madrid's aim is to win the Champions League title every year. They need to build a squad according to that as a result.
