2421  Economy / Economics / Re: Stablecoins 101 on: July 29, 2021, 02:06:24 PM
It would be good to see more pegged currencies rather than just USD coins.
There are a few more on "this" list but after what @mk4 mentioned the other week, do you still want more of those?

A rise in tether purchasing is correlated with increasing bitcoin demand and buying volume.
I've never looked at it from that perspective [make sense].
  • If you monitor closely some of the huge internal transfers [they're labeled: e.g. this one] for both "Tether and BTCitcoin", then perhaps you might be able to spot one as an example.
2422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker casino but need KYC, is this really necessary? on: July 29, 2021, 12:05:33 PM
No way we can use crypto to stay anonymous and then do KYC so they know exactly who we are, where we are, what we do, right?
I see your point but some of us, use cryptocurrencies because of other reasons.

It really makes no sense, even with small transactions of only a few dozen, a few hundred dollars.
Some of them "have to make sure" to not send or receive anything from certain nationalities and even for those that are residing in certain countries.

What do you think about this issue? Do you want to do KYC just for gambling on any platform?
Since it's a gambling platform, I'd say it's not worth it [money wouldn't be the only thing you'd be gambling, if you go through that KYC process].

Also added that they are giving new users registered through their referral link some money, and they also require KYC to receive it. I heard that this amount is up to 200$, if you are, would you like to sell your identity to get this money?
I would not [there has to be an ulterior motive with such a significant move].
2423  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: DEHANTONG NETWORK TECHOLOGY SCAM on: July 29, 2021, 09:35:14 AM
DO NOT BUY FROM DEHANTONG NETWORK TECHNOLOGY
I believe "this [archived]" is their page, am I right?
- That's exactly why everyone should avoid buying from Alibaba sellers.

WHEN I UNLOADED THE RADIATORS ON THE BOARDS, THEY WERE PURE AND SIMPLE STICKED WITH SILICONE, I ALSO HAVE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS AS PROOFS FROM WHEN I RECEIVED THE PACKAGES
Please upload those to third-party hosting websites [e.g. imgur and Streamable], then paste their links in here.

I ALSO HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH THE SELLER WHO IS NOT INTERESTED IN TELLING ME TO GO TO A LOCAL ELECTRONIST TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS
You might want to include that one as well [don't forget to blur sensitive parts].

While you're at it, use the following "scam report format" to update your first post.
2424  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [2021-07-28]Binance CEO says he’s willing to step down as world's biggest crypt on: July 29, 2021, 07:13:03 AM
This is somewhat sad news and it explains the last move(s) of Binance.
They shot themselves in the foot when they chose to ignore all of the warnings, so it was bound to happen [unfortunately].

and also there is a public figure heading the operation. Accountability brings trust, so it will be a sad day when he steps down.
You have a point but it doesn't look like he's going to completely abandon Binance:

  • We are always hiring for CEOs.

I don't need to be CEO, and I am not leaving. I will always find ways to contribute to the community behind the logo tattooed to my forearm.

I am proud to be a member of the #binance ecosystem. Let's keep growing it.

2425  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Interview] Crypto business in Kazakhstan on: July 29, 2021, 04:27:49 AM
https://cryptodaily.co.uk/2021/07/kazakhstan-bank-account-cryptocurrencies
Kazakhstan Opens Up Bank Accounts For Cryptocurrencies
Overall, this is a positive development but I still don't like how they would still be able to control everything.

In addition to that, I was surprised to read about digital currencies were banned in a country with a lot of ongoing mining operations!

2426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Game with hidden Bitcoin on: July 28, 2021, 06:33:45 PM
but I can't find exact information of exact amount of BTC.
Seeing that Neil didn't disclose it, I'm guessing it has to be an insignificant amount [I could be wrong]. Does anybody know how much he'll be charging for this game?

1) Will only the first one will be awarded with the funds associated or there would be group hunt at one time and whoever wins that round will be having seed phrase which can be imported to wallet
I believe there will be only a "single" winner.

But i have concern of cheating through data mining and decompiler, i hope the developer did something to prevent such cheating.
Someone else also "commented" about that but he ignored it [perhaps it doesn't come with an anti-cheating mechanism].

You also need to know the order of each word Roll Eyes
But i expect the developer also show the position (or at least hint of the position).
He will but I have a strong feeling someone else is going to figure it out before he does it:

2427  Other / Archival / Re: Near-Zero Fees in the Bitcoin Network on: July 28, 2021, 03:48:57 PM
The near-zero fees on the Bitcoin mainnet continue to delight.
~Snipped~
I want to believe that the tendency for such commissions will continue and that you will not have to overpay.
Unfortunately, it won't last forever. If the value of BTCitcoin rises again for another week, it'd probably lead to more people [mostly outsiders] using it for the wrong reasons, and that "always" leads to higher fees [both intentionally and unintentionally].
- On each of the previous ATH moments, we had to deal with outrageous fees and if it keeps going up, I expect the same thing to happen.

This will make the network more usable and attract more people.  Smiley
But as soon as more users start using it, fees would go up [temporary form of "anything" shouldn't matter].
2428  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: iziBTC - the best digital currency exchange service on: July 28, 2021, 01:35:52 PM
@Vasiliy_Petrov120
Care to provide some sort of proof about your partnership with those you've listed "here"?

- Apart from the bits.media, none of them even mentioned your platform in their exchangers' lists, let alone as their partners.
- Just because one of them has listed you in their platform, that doesn't mean you've partnered with them.
2429  Economy / Services / Re: Inviting Social Media Influncers for Crypto Project Promotion Campaign on: July 28, 2021, 09:28:41 AM
@NFTGate
While I completely agree with the above comment, I still don't think you'll be receiving a PM from any of the influencers through this forum...
- Most influencers rarely visit this forum [especially this board], so your best bet is to contact each one of them individually and ask for their fees.

The following lists might come in handy [most of them also cover all of the other categories that you've mentioned in your post]:
2430  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: IMF issues veiled warning against El Salvador’s Bitcoin law on: July 27, 2021, 04:54:43 PM
The two IMF officials alleged that countries adopting cryptocurrencies as national currencies or “granting cryptoassets legal tender status” risked domestic prices becoming highly unstable
There's a big difference between goods or services priced in BTCitcoin and sellers accepting it as an additional option [the latter one doesn't lead to the highlighted part].

After reading their "blog post", it's quite clear they're are trying to highlight its cons [there's a workaround for all of them] while also portraying it in a way that it's not [SMH].
2431  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: What is best resource for Bitcoin News? on: July 27, 2021, 02:41:52 PM
Find out Latest Bitcoin News and Updates!, well-researched news and updates about bitcoin
I wouldn't label it as "latest"; I checked one of the recent articles [at random] on your platform and it was the same piece of news [not plagiarized] that other known platforms published last week.
- In addition to that, I noticed a duplicate copy [another article] from a known platform and even though it's clear from where it was taken, you might want to decide if you want to be an aggregator of some sort or be a platform that publishes original stuff.
2432  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-07-23] Tesla (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk Again Moves Crypto Prices on: July 27, 2021, 01:02:42 PM
scarcity baked into its design.
~Snipped~
will only ever mine 21 million Bitcoin.
But that's not a bad thing and I don't care why he thinks it is.

Despite losing some of his followers and most of our respects, everything that clown says still carries some weight [unfortunately].
- Having said that, I don't think that 3% jump had anything to do with him [same goes for the jump that happened in the past 30 hrs or so].
2433  Local / Pamilihan / Re: GCash is planning to add cryptocurrencies! on: July 27, 2021, 09:12:43 AM
Ano na pala ang latest news tungkol dito? May bagong update ba ang gcash tungkol sa pag adopt nila ng crypto?
AFAIK, yun parin ang pinaka latest; in other words, either hindi pa sila nakahanap ng partner or ginagawa/inaayos pa nila yung bagong platform.
- I wouldn't be surprised if it takes another year to integrate it.
2434  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Youtube channel - what would you like to see? on: July 27, 2021, 07:39:57 AM
What type of content/themes would you like to see?
In addition to interviews and guides, I think there should also be a segment about worthy BTCitcoin related websites, software, and apps that are somewhat unknown.
- BTW, I think guides should be short and fun, while interviews should be long and interesting; I think it could have a better retention rate if it's live-streamed with a segment that guests take questions from the chat.

https://i.imgur.com/1f1lD41.jpeg
Was tinkering around and printed/painted that. Could we make it a thing please?  Cheesy
It looks great Smiley
- How big is it?

I don't think a Youtube production representing Bitcointalk is a one man team so to speak.
and constant attention, not even two people, but three or four.
That's true if it was 10 years ago but nowadays, one person is more than enough if you have the right tools and skills.

Tools & Softwares:
  • Decent computer
  • Two/three microphones [preferably a dynamic one]
  • An audio interface
  • Mic boom arms
  • Camera/s
  • Stage
  • OBS + any other video editing software

Skills:
  • It takes less than a month to master OBS and you only need to know the basics for post-processing [finishing touches] in any other video editing software.
    - With OBS [or similar softwares], you can deal with 95% of the issues that previously required someone else's help [it's quite fun].

Weekly awards for best and worst posts is good idea!
I'm curious to know what type of award would be given to those in the worst posts category? Grin
2435  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-07-26]Insider: Amazon plans to accept bitcoin payments in 2021 on: July 26, 2021, 08:17:04 AM
“It won’t take long because the plans are already there, and they have been working on them since 2019."
To developers/back-end coders out there: Does it really take "that long" to code everything from scratch and include it as an additional payment option?

“When all these crypto ducks are lined up, there’s another twist to push things even further into Amazon’s favour – a native token,”
~Snipped~
“There’s little more to it, for now, but you can guarantee the Bitcoin plan will be monitored closely as opportunities with Amazon’s own version of a crypto will be explored.”
Everything was great until it mentioned creating their own token [SMH]!

  • What I think it'll happen [I could be wrong]:
    • Phase 1: Add BTCitcoin.
    • Phase 2: Add other cryptocurrencies [trial and error].
    • Phase 3: Announce and add their own token.
    • Phase 4: Remove BTCitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
2436  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Countries representing over 90% of global GDP are exploring CBDCs on: July 26, 2021, 07:19:51 AM
The Caribbean region is home to all five CBDCs that are currently in use, with The Bahamas, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Lucia and Grenada all implementing their digital cash systems.
That was interesting; I always thought China would be the first one to fully implementing it.

Although I knew something like this was bound to happen eventually, I was still a bit surprised to see the number of added countries [46/81] that were considering it in the past 14 months alone.
- FYI, even if all of those 81 countries come up with their own CBDC [highly unlikely since there are already a couple that canceled it], I still don't see them as a "real" threat to BTCitcoin.
2437  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Cash Out Bitcoin with TransCrypt on: July 26, 2021, 05:40:12 AM
2. Settle in local currency to a bank account in over 120 countries
Users from which countries are prohibited from using your services [couldn't find anything on your "Terms and Condition" page]?
- While you're at it, you might want to construct a FAQ page as well.

3. Low cost and fair rates - We get the best exchange rates from a number of exchanges
So basically you're an intermediary that also handles the "KYC" parts?
2438  Economy / Exchanges / Re: xChange.re | Crypto to Crypto Exchange | Discord based | 0.5% on: July 26, 2021, 04:04:51 AM
Max fee of 1% on all coins.
On the subject field, you've mentioned 0.5% only! Which one is correct?

Your website aka discord invite link is expired, so you may want to fix that,
I think that might have something to do with our locations [link is fine]; I got the same error when I tried checking it with Chrome but had no issues viewing it with Tor [screenshot].
2439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine's roadmap of crypto adoption on: July 25, 2021, 05:50:59 PM
but what are your thoughts on this?
There are detailed time frames in the full report in Ukrainian. They intend to pass the law on virtual assets in September 2021, work on taxation and KYC policies in January 2022, make it possible to officially exchange cryptos for fiat and vice versa + establish the school program on virtual assets by July 2022, and open a master's program on DeFi in May 2024 (among many other things).
I'm quite impressed [especially with the educational parts].
- Does the above time frames cover everything in the "full report" or you left out some?

(you simply say you're an early BTC investor, and that's it).
By doing that, they'll be shooting themselves in the foot since it's not that hard to track and trace everything.

unless someone's doing something clearly illegal, such as mining cryptos and not paying the electricity bills.
I fail to understand it. Electricity bills have to be paid and I guess what you implied is Ukrainian crypto miners pay electricity bills with rates that lower than they should be charged. Is it what you meant?
I believe @kryptqnick was referring to those that steal electricity [without any payments] but there are also a few that have done it partially [e.g. underground cryptocurrency mining operation busted by Ukraine police].
2440  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is this a good divide? thanks on: July 25, 2021, 02:40:34 PM
i was thinking %35 bitcoin, %25 eth, %15 cardano, %15 ravecoin, %10 alt coins just for the fun of it lol.

does this make sense?
No, it doesn't. Take a look at the following "screenshot" and tell me what you see in regards to their movements?
- See how most of them [with the exception of a few] follow BTCitcoin.

keep in mind im 15 and dont got that much money lol
If that wasn't the case, I would've suggested 80% BTCitcoin/20% Gold [diversify].

well if i invest in bitcoin i would make what? double and a bit more
Depending on the situation, that may not always be the case!

cardano bc i belive in the team and its ideology.
Then why just 15%?
