I applaud you for having that kind of attitude, but sometimes not expanding your line of work, could help in landing better jobs with better wages ^{[due to your concentration being on a single field as opposed to a few]} than if you were to get involved in multiple fields ^{[may hinder your ability to improve further in your chosen profession]}.

It depends on a lot of things...
^{e.g. Open-source software, the whole process itself [for consumers], how that device is going to look, its price, and a few other things.}

e.g.
