2741  Other / Meta / Re: Can we talk about the rampant account trading in the local forums? on: October 10, 2018, 11:43:27 PM
With it not being against the rules; not much can be done unfortunately.

I might be mistaken but dont we have a few active Russians here in meta? I seem to recall a few things from the Russian board being brought here. Edit: only mention this board ad it seems to be the worst, but active locals from any board could do the same.

Maybe we can ask them to flag these account traders on this thread and DT can do what they do best... paint an untrustworthy account red.

That or get theymos to update the rule. I don't see this happening as it would be a rule that infringes on what someone can do with their "property".
2742  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~220PH] KanoPool kano.is 0.9% fee 4.8 of 10BTC giveaway 🐈 US,UK,JP,NYA,DE,SG on: October 10, 2018, 08:39:04 PM
That link should have worked. Looking st your activity today, you have 42. Myself I'm at 434, before I went to sleep I was at 420.

That tells me today is the day activity is calculated. So before today you would have had 28 activity and 1 merit. To be a junior member 30 activity is required, which you just hit.

Edit:  looking st your merit it was just received "today" that may have been the final thing needed. About a month agao it became a requirement to earn 1 merit to become a Jr. Member, thus was to combat sig. spam
2743  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Current List of Competitive Hardware - October 2018 on: October 10, 2018, 12:35:43 PM
Have either of them put miners in the hands of customers yet? I thought GMO was close as in this month, but that they were still preorder.

I am interested in triple-1 but same as above I didn't think they had delivered a miner yet.

Maybe in an effort of fairness for current market sales I will add a general speculation section at the bottom for companies who have yet to deliver a miner but have announced competitive hardware.
2744  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 17.2TH/s, 1570W Innosilicon announces the most powerful and efficient BTC Miner on: October 09, 2018, 03:53:08 PM
So is this new   t2ti replacing the t2t+??

Agreed Haggs, I guess they are following bitmain with the the s9- i and j idea. They could say least use full words to differentiate the releases.

@minefarmbuy, You should explain to your contact that this is a marketing and customer support nightmare to keep releasing models in this fashion.
2745  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Current List of Competitive Hardware - October 2018 on: October 09, 2018, 02:57:47 AM
I have updated the OP.

@Thanks again Haggs, it wasn't until I re-read your review that I found where I missed the information for Whatsminer.

@Og, I added in a quick cost/TH. I'll get right on that super smart system, give me a year longer than the new forum software. Grin

Also, T1's are still accessible.

I completely forgot about Myrig. Updated, not sure how many they still have.

I think going forward, once hardware is only available on the secondary market I will remove all pricing data. Not the situation here but may be shortly.

Appreciate all the input. Honestly I had to do this because I found myself getting lost in what has or hasn't launched. Feel free to let me know anytime there is anything you feel is lacking or would make a good addition/update.
2746  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Current List of Competitive Hardware - October 2018 on: October 08, 2018, 10:23:38 PM
On mobile.

Thanks for the updated info. I'll update the whatsminer stuff this evening. I did have a tough time sorting through their chain. Missed something I guess.

I'll add a price per TH that's  no issue. With this being a global market. My idea is just keeping it basic based on from manufacturer. People can figure out the extra based on their situation, based on the links they follow.

I'll maintain the thread to within a few days, as best I can.

Can you elaborate on the T1's I just went by their webpage.
2747  Other / Meta / Re: Clean up of: Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh on: October 08, 2018, 03:11:46 PM
Not that I feel you need to explain yourself it's nice you give a heads up; or at least get a head of the whining.

I didn't really moderate the thread much because I was involved in the debate and I didn't want to be accused of by the conspiracy folks of trying to censor the argument in "my" direction.

Dont worry about it. I don't doubt you will moderate evenly and without prejudice of ideas. If people can't handle it, that's there problem, they need to adjust to the new normal that there is actually moderation in the section now. Time to clean up the shitty posting habits and have a real discussion.
2748  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: First time/Small miner reference for getting started. on: October 08, 2018, 02:40:44 PM
I updated the section about hardware. Instead of listing the companies I linked a thread with a list if the curently competitive hardware with links to discussion, manufacturers and reviews.
2749  Bitcoin / Hardware / Current List of Competitive Hardware - January 2020 on: October 07, 2018, 10:21:43 PM
Considering there are a lot of hats in the ring these days; I thought a comprehensive list was in order. Below you will find hardware listed by manufacturer. I'm going to try and limit it to competitive hardware, but feel free to suggest something else be added if you feel the list falls short.

The purpose of this thread is not for discussion; I will link all current discussion topics and available forum reviews.

Pricing and specs taken from manufacturer websites. For hardware not sold directly by the manufacturer you will see a "Where to purchase" link to their distributor. See reviews and discussion threads for real world tests. Know that all miners have a variance in power consumption and hashrate depending on conditions, these are noted in the discussion/review threads or Manufacturer websites.

2750  Other / Meta / Re: account ban - Please active my account - It lot's for my life on: October 07, 2018, 06:27:11 PM
No you can not. That would be ban evasion.

You were allowed to make a new account to come here and appeal the ban, but as you can see there is damning evidence of plagiarism.

So you can come, and look. You just can't post or send messages.
2751  Other / Meta / Re: Deleted Post on: October 07, 2018, 06:08:55 PM

Why do I get the impression you read the thread title and didn't bother reading any of the replies?

If you had, you'd realize that none of that really relates to this situation.
2752  Other / Meta / Re: suggestion - Editing and preview sections are side by side on: October 07, 2018, 03:59:59 PM
Other than the smaller workspace I don't see any problem for a desktop user.

Personally though I don't mind scrolling up to see how the section I'm editing appears. My cursor stays where I was working and I just take a peak to make sure the correction is as I'd like.
2753  Other / Meta / Re: account ban - Please active my account - It lot's for my life on: October 07, 2018, 03:52:40 PM
Post a link to the banned profile.

You likely plagiarized content as it seems there was a bunch more bans handed out. There are no warnings. Now if your message has a timeframe included then it is a temporary ban.

But it was a mistake if I did break a rule I did not know

It's up to you to figure out the rules of the forum before breaking them.

Quote
Please I promise to never do this again, i need my account

Great you won't do it again because you are banned, you can still read but can't post.

Quote
this is unfair, I should have been warned etc. Check

Edit: Counting this
my request to you please give at least a small duration ban before permanent Ban.

See previous answers.

Just saving some time with my future quotes, wonder if they'll come true.
Looks like I'm 1 for 3 so far

Was the only word you put in your reply "poop" linked to the article??

Looks like a few of the posts where deleted from that thread. I can't really speak for the Moderator, but it could have been reported. Now had you typed more with that link to bring the turing test into context it may have stayed.

You could always just PM hellfish for clarification.
2755  Other / Meta / Re: My Full Member account has been disallowed from posting on the forum on: October 07, 2018, 02:45:55 PM
You broke the rules and were caught it's really that simple. I did however find somewhere you can go work if you meet there qualifications. The World Medical Association is okay with Plagiarism at least for the time being.

Here however it is taken seriously, because people try to cheat the system to earn som eBTC, or shit tokens whatever they can.

I am sorry mate but that is nowhere close to fair.

Can't say I've ever seen life described as fair. However you had the same opportunity as everyone else to read and understand the rules. You chose not to.
2756  Other / Meta / Re: Lauda Not Anymore in DT now | How DT does work? on: October 07, 2018, 01:54:01 PM
That's inaccurate. Its either OgNasty or Tomatocage.

I doubt it was OgNasty as they had both left each other negative feedback, Og's to Lauda being February 14 of this year.

Given that I can't imagine Lauda had remained on the Og's trust list up until now.

I noticed it too as I browse once again to this thread which OP has red trust but today after checking the thread OP doesn't have the negative trust anymore.  Some users in that thread warned the investors because OP has red trust. I guess that guy can now regain. I wonder what happen to why he was removed.

That makes sense, must have been tagged early.
2757  Other / Meta / Re: Lauda Not Anymore in DT now | How does DT work? on: October 07, 2018, 11:54:27 AM
Looks like you are correct. I left my trust settings on default and Lauda does appear to have been excluded.

What would have happened is one of the dt1 level members that had added Lauda to their trust network must have removed Lauda. Pretty sure to become DT2 you need 3 DT1 members to add you.

That's my understanding anyways

Wondering how you noticed this so quickly, possibly an alt account that's no longer painted red?

Edit: Great explanation below, cleared it up for me a bit.
2758  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: October 06, 2018, 11:01:36 PM
I remember it being 30 days from when you handed out the Smerit.

They don't come in a lump sum, so if you handed out 5 one day and 10 the next . 30 days from the first day you would be topped up with 5, and the following day you would receive another 10.

Can't remember where I saw that.

Edit: Stupid me deleted my post, reposting now

Can't remember where I saw that.
Lol, I can't remember where I read what I read either.  I think it was Jet Cash who posted it in a thread or something.

I think it was them or VOD, but it was early on probably first month or so.

2760  Other / Meta / Re: Report to Moderator - Database error on: October 06, 2018, 10:23:03 PM
Yeah I tried the logging in and out.

Then I tried being patient and took a walk. Everything seems to be working now; time to find those threads before they hide behind a hundred more that need to be reported.

It was just weird it was the first time I've had an issue like that I can remember. No biggie, locking the topic. Thanks for checking on your end folks.
