If you're using other wallets like online wallets, which most likely doesn't support segwit addresses then you'll surely be slapped by many fees. I even recalled back in 2017 when I transferred just like $10 worth of Bitcoin then I was asked to pay $20 for the miners/network fee. Quite insane, eh? When I used segwit addresses, I only paid like almost cents. I am not sure how it all gets calculated, but that should be starter for ya, OP.

Dogira? Not familiar with that coin, but from how you described it, it seems like just another pump and dump scheme if it suddenly just made you get twice from what you invested.

Most of them are because of certain celebrities hyping a coin. Some people these days are just worshipping their favorite celebrities. On the other side, Bitcoin's being adopted to pay some Tesla anyway.

Hell no, even without Elon Musk we already got our bullish price before he even hyped Doge as well as Bitcoin. It is just the media making it look like that he really hyped it up just because he claims something that x coin would go to the moon. How do you expect news articles to take celebrities' words anyway? "Doge to the moon". Next day in the news headlines, "Elon Musk believes that x coin will go to the moon, 9999k soon?".

It doesn't depend to person sometimes, however it depends on what coin/s you mostly hold. For bitcoin, it is obvious the hodling would be the best option but still some people FUD a lot and then just went panicking so suddenly.

This. It hurts crypto space more than what other people think to be honest. Almost many coins are just purely out of pump and dump schemes and almost little to nothing gets in for the longer term. About the social media influencers, that is another thing that hurts the crypto space. Those people that are just purely celebrity-driven investors. One would be when Elon Musk hyped Dogecoin a lot.

Hey I recognize you in our Local Section (Pilipinas). Did both of you used Coins.ph to transact without fees? That seems the most popular wallet here in the Philippines that is crypto-related. Edit: I saw your reply mentioning that both of you indeed used it. Forget about my question. Let me just ask this new question instead. - Does your friend have any plans to adopt it as an alternative payment in the future? Because you mentioned that he don't really use his Bitcoin wallet that much.
|
|

Well it's because Elon Musk mentioned it to be in the moons and some investor in Dogecoin become too arrogant that it will surpass Bitcoin at one point, that's why they aren't friends with Bitcoin investors as much anymore assuming that they were even friends before. Some people are too celebrity-driven that's why panic selling is quite common when the coin dumps for a second.

Look at btc charts is move 1% a month. Altcoins have much better ROI of 2-5x till the end of the bull run. BTC keep you poor this bull run. Quite vague statement. What do you mean it will get to 20k if it "moves" 1% a month? All I can understand for now is that you're basing its pattern to how the price would end up.

Or.....simply just don't trust any online wallets for hodling purposes wherein you don't hold your private key. Some people still treat Bitcoins like fiat wherein they entrust their good ol' pal, online wallets like how they entrust banks too much for their money.

The government still treats crypto as a fraudulent earning scheme and nothing more than a competitor to the traditional financial system.
Not all but through KYC regulations, they don't like a lot of people holding something that is way beyond their discretion. That's why some Bitcoin ATMs are god-send if you don't have someone to do p2p transaction.

50/50 kumbaga.

Aside from what the majority said in here, you also have the capability to add a flag as what you can notice when you chose Negative as the type for your feedback as well. If your case is backed with good evidence/s, you can ask support here ( Request Support (or Opposition) for Flags here!) to support your flag as well. Mostly, flags are used for really serious cases.

I am quite confused what you're pointing in here, OP. If you meant by trusting to send one's money to another, then you could just use escrow so that trust issues will be out of the table. About the exchanges, well that would depend on how much the exchange is being recognized. You might not like that your funds will be frozen by some unknown exchange you had deposited your money at.

90% fee on Selling? Are you nuts, OP? You're lessening the fee when buying so that people would be just buying, pumping the demand and then increasing the price of course because many had bought, well if there are one anyway in the first place. Sorry, OP but no.

This and people complaining that they instantly stop loss just because their strategy didn't work. It happens differently to different people. I recall back when I traded and I just followed what was on the screen when I watched Youtube tutorials back then. It didn't work in my end because the video was 2 months old.

From how the price seems like, I don't think there are points to still try too hard to make people invest and hodl Bitcoin from what you said in the OP. Regardless of the drawbacks that Bitcoin currently have, even though we already have Lightning Network as solution to the drawbacks you mentioned, I would still hodl. As for trading, it is just up to one's time sometimes. I quit my day trading back then, because it isn't really working in my part.

I read the post with rough translation of Google Translate. The post didn't discuss anything crypto-related. I guess it would still be okay if it was BSL discussion not ESL, but since the usual discussion there in the thread are crypto-related like you mentioned, I would still report as that would categorize in a different board. Plus the OP seemed to post a separate thread for that in the Off-topic section here but this time it was in English language and it has different content: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5331502.msg56815488#msg56815488. Just my two cents

Are the phishing sites from the same websites? If so, the admins can automatically change the link that newbies post to “suspicious link”.
Another option would be to add a warning to any post a newbie posts with a link advising to verify that the link is correct.
I don't think they're all the same sites. Not sure if this is the OP's case but back then I recall reporting some bots posting Reddit links in the Bitcoin Discussion with suspicious links inside the post that I didn't even bother to click. They were taken care of in <24 hours.

Don't focus too much in ranking up, OP. If you know you're helping/contributing to other users in here, merits will come along BUT that doesn't mean that you should expect one every time you do contribute.
