Is it the version that VH has listed on the first page of this thread? If it is then it will autotune upto the freq you set in the bat file.

EDIT:

If you set at 600 then it will find the best freq UPTO that point. But your sticks may well have a max freq LESS than that, at which point it will not be 600.

OK so when looking for that sweet spot in mhz (Newpac) how do you tell you have found it. I have adjusted from 100 to 200 and only difference I see is gain in hashing. So how do you know you have reached that tipping point where you will gain nothing more or are loosing some other part of function?

If your hub is strong enough you can go upto 600m. VH's latest itteration of cgminer has the auto tune function so it will automatically find the best freq to run the sticks at. Anything over 100m though and you needa fan blowing on them.

Eastshore.xyz are decent resellers. Haggsfin has used them in the past and I contacted them about a possible purchase and they were quick to respond with professionalism and knowledge.

What revision of cgminer are you using? What hub are you using? What type of pc is it connected to? HW errors themselves arent a big issue, the missing nonces is an irritation when it affects hashrate though.

Ahem, ya know you folks found a block today right? Height 583257 2019-07-01 02:42    18d 16h    3,008,619,595,712    7,934,713,219,630    31.6%    8,009.2    chetjstojanovich
Just sayin' 'ding-dong' to wake up the folks here  Wink

Thanks Fuzzy. To be honest I rarely check in to the pool. Aslong as my instance of cgminer is running well I just let it do its thing. It is nice to get an email saying ive received a surprise payment into my wallet though, but im waaaaay off the payment threshold yet   Grin

How long were the newpacs running for? They have ramped up but not quite to the freq you set. The rest looks ok, however as said if the hub you have cant provide the power you wont get to the freq you set.

Today marks 8 years since the launch of Bitminter. Thank you to all who mine and mined with Bitminter over the years.

More than welcome. Best pool there is for us hobby miners  Grin

Yea that is possible but i never managed to get it to work. Im not exactly what you call computer literate but I can hold my own....just.

Noob question: If I have 3 x R606 miners, do I need to run 3 instances of cgminer? Or is there a way to run just one instance of cgminer and control all 3 miners?

If they are all linked to the same pc then a single instance of cgminer will pick them all up. However it will try to run them all at the frequency you set it to, which can be problematic if you have a unit thats not as fast as the others. But a single instance for each one means you can tweak them individually to get the best performance from each.

Out of sheer, sheer boredom, I thought I'd see how much electricity my miners chewed through - 4x S9/T9's..

Here in the UK, quick Google sees electricity from a popular supplier is £0.12205 per kw/h. 1x Antminer likes to eat 1.654kw.

So cost per hour = 0.12205 x 1.654 = £0.201..
Cost per day, multiply that by 24 = £4.844..
Cost per month, multiply that by 365.25/12 = £147.466..
Cost per year, multiply that by 12 = £1,769.598..
And multiply by 4 miners = £7,078.39..

The 4 miners have me at 50 or so Thps.

Mr chetminingco, who's hashing 330x more than that, would have an electricity bill of £2.34m if he were hashing here (assuming S9's/T9's).

I doubt very much they are - I would think more likely some places pay way less than the UK for electricity!

Mind on the last block, I think when I looked they made about half a million (US), so must be worth it for them at the current BTC value.

And that electricity price is cheap for the UK. Essex is £0.16 which makes things even worse. Hence why I only have Gekkos (and hopefully soon an R606) on my desk.

If they are making it work then good for them. Just a shame they have come to the "home of the small miner" lol.

£60 shipped here.

£60 for both kits? Or £60 each?

Do you have 2x 16GB kits (total 32GB)?

If so, £60 for one, £115 for both.

I was looking for more around the £150 mark if I'm honest.

I've got two kits of the above for sale. Both White versions. I had them in my ATX build for about a year but switching to an ITX build and switching ram as the new mobo only has two slots.

Open to decent offers. Shipping to the US would make it far more expensive than you can get from amazon.com (currently $97). Not sure on EU prices though but in the UK they are around £105.

Payment via BTC or ETH. Escrow is welcome but paid for buy the buyer (as its a small transaction), although I have enough feedback from various members to put your mind at ease.
