601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit card gambling fuels gambling addiction on: September 26, 2023, 09:36:02 AM
Other countries have probably already banned it, with the latest being Australia.

Australia publishes legislation to enact credit card gambling ban

For me, it's not the credit card system that should be blamed; it's always on the gambler. Actually, not all gamblers who use credit cards are addicted to gambling. I think only a few are addicted, so with the ban, it will sacrifice those who are responsible. It's not fair in my opinion.

Congratulations to our Gilas Pilipinas player, we have our first win in the Asian games.

Well-oiled Gilas trumps Bahrain in Asiad opener

Quote
Gilas opened its Asiad gold medal journey with an 89-61 drubbing of Bahrain Tuesday at the ZJU Gymnasium in Hangzhou, China.

That was a big statement from the start, winning by 28 points. I've seen some praises for the team, especially for Tim Cone. I think his system is really working for the team, as I've noticed some good plays. They don't force their shots, there's no one-on-one plays; they are sharing the ball well, and everyone is shooting with a high percentage.

I watched the game live until the end and I could that there are still things that need to be done like limiting the turn-overs as we could not afford to have lots of turn-overs against Jordan or even Thailand. Bahrain is not a strong team and their import Wayne Chism is not the player he used to be when he was playing in the PBA as an import, which contributed a lot to Bahrain being blown out by the Gilas team.

Nevertheless, it was a good start, and hope they improve on the TOs in the next game against Thailand on September 28.

What is the format of the competition? I see that their next games are against Thailand and Jordan. What would happen if they win the next two games? Would they advance to the quarter-finals or semi-finals? I really have no idea; I just saw the schedules but not a playoff bracket.
603  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should newbies invest with small capital in BTC on: September 23, 2023, 07:43:01 PM
I know for beginners it’s always a must to start with small capital investment, as the risk to lose is quite manageable as well. But if you start generating profits, then you can start increasing the size of your bitcoin portfolio so you can start maximizing your future profits. That way, the more experienced you are, the lesser chances to lose, and the more opportunities to make massive profits you will obtain.
604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling game is not good and everyone should stay away from it on: September 23, 2023, 06:20:44 PM
I always believe that gambling has a negative reaction towards majority of the people. But for me, it will only be bad if the gambler itself is doing it just to satisfy his greed more than entertaining himself. With that, he’s bound to fall as gambling addict and eventually gamble all his belongings for the sake of chasing instant profits. Until he found out lately that he’s losing everything he has because of uncontrollable gambling habit and gradually ruin his life and his future including his family’s future as well.
605  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Honest question, what to think about “crypto” affiliates or influencers? on: September 23, 2023, 05:55:41 PM
Affiliates and YouTubing is totally fine! Yes, you might be making money trading, but do you know what's better? Making money by trading AND making money through affiliates and YouTube revenue. As long as you do affiliate marketing and YouTubing in a moral and ethical manner.

As for pump and dumpers and people doing fake TA, fuck them.
Well said. Those were the new trends of making money online and as long as they do it rightly, then there’s no reason that we should run from it. Except for those who are there just to deceive the people and know nothing about crypto affiliating and YouTubing but only to satisfy their own pockets. With that, we should get rid of them.
606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: September 23, 2023, 12:21:53 PM
~snip~
Everyone can make his own choice. Without this app you can`t get the profit from this group. But the same time you can lose all you data using this app.
As for me - it isn`t a problem for me to make a virtual PC without any information except the minimum i need for gambling.
I don't want to use any application that could cause me to lose all my data on my PC or cellphone. It's not worth doing, so we really have to be careful if we want any applications. And it seems that it is not worth it because installing applications from that group is so that we can get the benefits, but we risk losing our data. It's better to find out the match information yourself and analyze it according to our abilities so that we won't experience any problems.
If you are concerned about your data being compromised, you can always have an extra PC dedicated to gambling. That is, if you truly believe that the application will help you win. You know, when you want to win in gambling and you see an opportunity, you will find ways to make it possible while also minimizing the risks, no matter what your fears are.
607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 23, 2023, 11:34:13 AM
Of course, he had been heard and known already, he is even in the pound for pound list. But US fans wanted to see the Japanese monster and really be the name from Asia. Just like Manny Pacquiao is, even after he retires, he has been given so much respect by the boxing community in the US and whenever he goes to watch live fights, everyone is very happy to see the living legend and even his former nemesis are there for Manny.

Definitely, that's what Inoue's team should do if they want to gain recognition worldwide. Inoue has the same skills as Manny Pacquiao, and perhaps even better, but he isn't as much of a risk-taker as Manny, who would fight anyone, even when some people didn't think he could beat them. I mean, he kept proving the experts wrong every time he move up in weight and stepped into the ring. That's because he still had the speed and power, and, mind you, he wasn't a boxer afraid of losing; all he wanted was to entertain the fans, as they deserved.
608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: September 23, 2023, 09:17:43 AM

No more dribble and drive, but more on moving around even without the ball in hand. Hopefully, what we witness today will always be the same good ball movement and good sets of players inside.

That's what I noticed too, Coach Tim is really different from Coach Chot, and I think his system will be effective for Gilas Pilipinas as it will improve the defense. One significant difference as well is that Brownlee isn't like Clarkson, who is too confident to shoot; Brownlee doesn't hog the ball. He's already accustomed to playing with his teammates due to his experience in the PBA.
609  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never Marry a Coin/Project - Practically Example on: September 22, 2023, 09:16:34 PM
Never invest in your greed because if you do that, no matter how profitable those coins are, you will still never end up successful. And never put high expectations in your investment. Every investment has its own lapses, and whether you like it or not, there will always be inevitable events that are out of your control that will lead to your sudden losses. So never marry your coin. Know that you invest to make profits, so sell if there’s a need to make a decent gains.
610  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Challenges that can deprive/ delay one from hodli for long. on: September 22, 2023, 08:48:49 PM
All of those negative factors that will stop you from investing in the long run can be beaten by strong will. Yes, that's it. Because when you're strong willed, you're going to do everything that you can because you're believing on what you're foreseeing to this market.
All of those can be learned expect from sickness which we can't avoid and we're all going to be sick no matter how healthy we are. That's why you need to have a life work balance because it is an essential thing to be living through that. At the end of the day, you will have to deal with yourself and other factors whether you want to stay in the long term or you're going to give up because those factors were said so to stop you.
Precisely. Your strong will and determination will overcome those challenges because you created a goal and by sticking to it, you will come to achieve it in the long run. Believe me, there will always be struggles and challenges in any type of endeavor, but if you have a great plan to survive and overcome all of those, things will definitely fall in the right place at the end of the day. What we only need is patience and a deep understanding on our investment so we will know the right path to it.
611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If only property I have is bitcoin on: September 22, 2023, 08:25:47 PM
Any type of investment will only end up useless if it won’t be benefited after the investor is gone. That is the reason why we shouldn’t invest and just keep it into yourself because when death suddenly appears, then no one will ever know that you have huge bitcoin investment that can of great benefits to the people around. I just hope that you can find a trusted family member that you can talk about your bitcoin investment. Educate him and let him know how to access and use it once you’re gone. That way, all your efforts and hard work will not be wasted and will definitely help other people especially in need.
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Warning] Don't share your casino account! on: September 22, 2023, 12:29:30 PM
I recently received multiple PM on my Telegram account that offers profit sharing for placing bets on their behalf.

What is the procedure for this? Do you have to risk your own money, or will they send you money to bet on a certain game as per their instructions? I'm curious because if they require you to use your own money and claim they will ensure you win, it sounds like they might be trying to scam you, and it may not be related to any legitimate syndicate or organization.

Nah you won’t get to use your money, you’ll give them the login details to your account and then they’ll find it and start using it for what they want to use, they might even use it to perform some other things that the casino might be against leading to your account getting blocked.

And another issue here is that once they get your login details, there’s no guarantee that entry won’t change your email and login details into something else, so you don’t only risk your integrity with the casino you also risk losing your account permanently if they eventually change all the details in it.
So basically, their purpose is just to steal your account and lure you with promises that they will not fulfill. I guess no one should fall for that. It might be attractive if they were to cash out some money to send to your account, and you'd be the one gambling with their desired picks. At least then, you'd only worry about possible connections to illegal transactions, but you'd also have some hope of making a profit. Either way, it's still risky, and it's up to the users to decide how much risk they're willing to take and how cautious they are.

614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A matter of family conflict regarding Bitcoin. on: September 21, 2023, 09:14:05 PM
This might only happen if one invests with bitcoin putting high emotions into it and when things happen not according to the plan, eventually the investor becomes more frustrated that he’s unable to control his emotions until he end up fighting with his partner and ruin their married life. This is really true for those people who only invest because of greed and not really understand the concept of bitcoin.
615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting significant amount on: September 21, 2023, 06:39:54 AM
That kind of feeling could be dangerous if you are gambling most of the time. I mean, we don't want to be completely attached to gambling, especially if we aren't making a living from it. I've felt that kind of thrill before, especially when betting a significant amount of money—something that, although I can afford, would significantly affect my budget. You know, when the income isn't that much, we don't allocate too much to gambling. But as gamblers that we are, sometimes we want to go big, just like the famous saying, 'go big or go home.

He wouldn't be called 'Iron Man' for no reason. It was a stage 3 colon cancer, but he survived. God is good all the time.

PBA: Ginebra’s LA Tenorio diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer – Will he retire from basketball?

As for retirement, there hasn't been any news about that. But it's really surprising that he is cancer-free in such a short span of time. So if he is really 100% back, then there's no doubt he will come back with Ginebra and play.
617  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: All newbies should be aware. on: September 20, 2023, 09:34:57 PM
Past are the days when you could earn some money giving away minimum to no personal details. One of my first activities with cryptos was taking part in the airdrop of Decred, several years ago. I think that we were around 3,000 people registered, and we were airdropped more than 1,000$ in exchange. Of course, I was a newbie and sold too early (price went nuts in the 2017 ATH and regretted my impatience) but, compared to "modern" airdrops (to call them in some way), it still was a great deal.

Now we can say that if it seems too good to be true, it is almost certainly a scam. Edit: if not backed by giant service providers like Gladitorcomeback just mentioned.
Exactly. Those golden days are over for airdrops so we can't expect to stay profitable at the moment like we're used to before. Maybe if you can find reputable airdrops today then you will be in profits but looking at the current trend, it's rare to find legit airdrops these days. What we have are these scam airdrops that are here to lure every participant that are hunger with instant profits.
618  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading bots... do they work? on: September 20, 2023, 08:30:35 PM
I am not an active user of trading bots. But I used it quite often a year ago. But I only use trading bots provided by the exchange itself. Like on Binance there is a trading bot feature called Grid. I've also tried some third-party bots. But I think it's not much different from the bot provided by Binance. So I would advise anyone to avoid paid trading bots. Because if you are interested in using a trading bot, it is available for free on Binance. And talking about the actual profit percentage, it depends on our intelligence in managing the bot itself. And I prefer to use bots on trading pairs that are sideways but with pretty good trading volume. Like on Ethereum. But we have to be careful because sometimes bots only display profit percentages as if we continue to make profits. But apparently not. And high volatility is also not suitable for using Bots. But that was my experience last year. So I don't know what trading bots can do now. But I'm sure it won't be much different. And I personally am more confident trading manually than relying on bots. Because maybe I am a day trader. But if someone has another profession such as an office or factory employee who is very busy. So using a trading bot can sometimes really help. But first we have to learn a lot to operate it properly.
Yes, it certainly helps but it cannot be reliable to give you consistent profits. Trading bots are programmed software tools so how can these be good for unpredictable market like crypto. This is the reason why manual trading is still the best option. Use your own intelligence and skills, and not through computer related. Trading is a battle of our minds and emotions so it should be done through trading on our own.
619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 20, 2023, 01:20:44 PM
maybe Tapales chance is only by Luck or a super  Lucky punch .

You are not alone in underestimating Tapales; even some of his fellow countrymen do not think he has the tools to defeat Inoue. They are endorsing Casimero to match up with Inoue. It's just sad that it won't happen easily, as Casimero isn't a champion. Neither of them is destined to fight, but eventually, as time passes by, opportunities will open up for these two that will interest them because of a huge reward.
620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: September 20, 2023, 12:56:50 PM
There's nothing we can do aside from backing out but base from the news the National will continue and will play whoever will be on their squad, I think you are right TR7 will bring hypes as he really knows how to play not just with local fans but also with international fans, with him and the beast the level of competition might be different from my personal take.

Let see what will happen. It's the rule that we needed to follow and there's nothing we can do about it if the organizer didn't allow them to play.

It has already been announced, and if I'm not mistaken, China is the host of this event. Perhaps it's their way of seeking revenge because we beat them during the FIBA Cup by a large margin. They know that Romeo is unstoppable, so they made sure he would be out. However, there's nothing to worry about because we have plenty of players who are willing to participate. Additionally, with the fact that we have a good coach now, I'm confident that we have a good chance of winning the gold.
