601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What could be the Symptoms of Getting Loss in gambling According to you? on: April 03, 2023, 10:21:37 PM
Not sure why you're saying symptoms because most of gamblers will lose in the long term due to house edge. If you think gambling is to make money, then you're wrong and better to learn if gambling is only for entertainment.

winning requires strategy, money management and a bit of luck.
In slot, there's no strategy.

Either slot, poker, sport etc it do require a lot of luck because you can't predict the future by using your analysis.
Losing is already part of gambling. In fact, we often lose than gain profits. And that’s how gambling works since it’s a type of business where the house will always takes the win leaving the players at loss. And no matter how strategic you are in gambling, as long as you didn’t get the luck and certain skills, you will never make it big with gambling.
602  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie: If trading isn't working for you, buy and hold. on: April 03, 2023, 09:33:02 PM
I won't entirely ask them to stop trading, sometimes having your fingers burnt is also a good way of learning, trading has to do with experience, and you cannot get that experience without getting some losses. The best traders will always advise you to try again and even after blowing up your account.
.
Not in most cases, cause you might end up having no fingers anymore as they have burnt to ashes before you know it. More so it's better to have a slow but gradual growing figures in your account than having a blown one.  Mind you, you can only try again when you have money in the account and not with a blown up account as trades are not executed on empty account except you wanna go back to demo trading.
No one has taught us that we should be greedy and make fast profits in trading. In fact, if you do trading hurriedly and with no caution, you will only end up losing your trades and waste your money. So it’s better to just take your time, wait until the market is perfect to trade, and just slowly earn gradual but growing numbers in time. If you lose, then try it again when you are ready again. But if you are in consistent losses, maybe you’re not really good enough to become a trader, just settle with hodling for the mean time and just return into trading when you think you are skillful enough.
603  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Not about to give up hope. on: April 03, 2023, 08:54:51 PM
In this case, giving up is never an option; the cryptocurrency market has been down for more than a year, but the interesting thing is that people are still buying Bitcoin despite the price drop.
It depends on the situation exactly like sometimes giving up on that thing is better then holding it up if it's not going to give you anything in return.I am talking about altcoins here like what if people still believe meme coins can take them to moon? Having hopes on such things is not really good option but if you exit the market at right time for them you will not face huge loss.
There are no hopes actually when it comes to altcoins and meme coins, as they can all lose their value and end up as dead coins in the long run. But if you are hodling as potential as bitcoin, then never lost your hope and never give up. Bitcoin is bound to be more profitable in the end, we just have to trust the process. Though there might setbacks that we had experienced recently, but life is not a matter of giving up but moving forward and moving on. As long as we are investing in coins with potentials, then we should never lost our hopes in it.
604  Economy / Economics / Re: Should you save, when you are wealthy? on: April 02, 2023, 10:24:31 PM
Maybe you are feeling this way OP because you felt that you are being deprived from buying your needs or wants because you prioritize saving in the first place. And right now, you may have doubt the essence of saving and you just feel like spending without wanting to save anymore. I understand you OP, but always remember that there’s no permanent in this world and if you are earning profits right now, then it might be in the future that you will experience the opposite way. That’s why always give importance to saving, as it will help you when circumstances suddenly arise and by that time, you have no source of income that will provide for you. So good thing if you have save for that and for your future as well.
605  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What have you got rid of to accumulate Bitcoin on: April 02, 2023, 09:45:44 PM
Some people said that selling off your properties for any reason sake is bad unless its an emergency, well I say, selling some part of my land is an emergency for me to grab some more Bitcoin, I feel like 2023 is going to be an incredible year for Bitcoin investors, I could get some more lands in 2024 or when Bitcoin makes a new ATH, what do you guys think? A stupid decision or a brilliant one? How will you take this?

Also share me what you have sold this year to buy some Bitcoin, we will still be here in 2025 and I can't wait to share my incredible success story on the forum, Bitcoin loading, 100% acquired.

What are you doing to get yours? Let's talk
I don’t have any property yet, so I don’t have anything to sell either. And even if I have any, I won’t end up selling my property just to invest in bitcoin. Bitcoin investment takes a lot of risks, and if you are not knowledgeable and patient enough, you will only lose your future profits. That’s why it never come to my senses of selling my property if there is any, I would gladly add more to it than to sell and might lose it in the long run.
606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 30, 2023, 06:23:39 PM
The Dallas Mavericks have lot's of struggles since the Kyrie Irving trade.

Before they got Kyrie, they are at the 4th spot of the Western Conference. When the trade happens and got Kyrie, many knew already that it was a fail experiment though many thought that it would be beneficial for the team especially for Luka because he will now have an all-star type of player on his team. What is the expense of the Kyrie trade? Their best defensive player in DFS, their supposed back-up point guard in Dinwiddie and some draft picks. Before the trade deadline, they are already one of the worst defensive teams around the league. After the trade? They got even worse than they are before the trade. Also add the frustration that Luka is dealing on each game, and that also affects his performance on every game.

Well, I guess there's nothing left to do but to try and enhance the team again in the next season and get some reliable players on the wings because it really seems that they can't get any spot soon and winning remaining games is just almost too impossible for the team. It's evident enough why they are losing than what they expected it to be and that's because they freed a lot of good players in the Kyrie trade. That's the gamble they did for the sake of adding an all-star caliber beside Luka Doncic.
607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: March 30, 2023, 05:09:09 PM
<==== lots of fight has been delayed because of his selfishness.

I agree with this. In fact, I believe that he already made some drama, which was the reason why his fight with Pacman before was cancelled. Because if he had gone through a serious operation, he should not have fought Ugas after Ugas won the championship against Pacman. Now that he is back with a big win, Crawford challenges him, but nothing has happened. Maybe Spence knows his limitations and that he cannot win against Crawford, which is why he is making up excuses just to avoid him.

I would not say he is just making excuses. Obviously every fighter has to think about his own image and marketability, otherwise he might find himself shoved aside by bigger players and he might not be able to get into a good contract again. Its all about the money, really. Although having said that, it is indeed a smart move by him to avoid the Crawford fight for now. What if something happens and his operation mid-long term side-effects flare up and have a negative impact on the fight? Better safe than sorry.  Perhaps he thought it was not wise to challenge fate? Or maybe he noticed something wrong with his body? Sad

Well, you seriously got a point but if that's truly the case then why did he played and toyed Crawford if in the first place he doesn't want to make the unification fight happen. He even got the nerve to say some words after he defeated Ugas that he's going after Crawford Grin and then afterwards, what did he do, he ducked.
If he wants sympathy, then he should do the right thing because they are all professionals because it's not just him who wanted the fame and money, they all are.
608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 30, 2023, 02:45:31 PM
How about the games tomorrow?

It's only 2 games but 1 of them is a must see battle, it's between the Bucks and the Celtics. Holiday just had a huge game against the Pacers with 51 points, (not sure if this is his career though). I'm still not decided as to who to beat on this game.

On the other game, it's the Nuggets vs the Pelicans, I might go with the Nuggets here at handicap.

-5.5 @ 1.82 not bad for the handicap if Nuggets will play solid, but I think it can be covered unless Denver will rest their core starters or they will play soft and let NOP snatch the game from them,.

Oh well, I might follow you, but let me check it during a live game before placing my bet,
chances of resting players might happen here.

There is a chance but on the other hand, I'm thinking that it might not happen as the Nuggets are not yet on the position where it's time to rest their core starters because they still got a handful of games left and they needed to win those games if they still wanted to preserve their spot in the West. It's pretty much better to watch the game and bet live to minimize the risks because currently, Nikola Jokic has been listed questionable.

But for the Celtics vs Bucks match-up, the latter has been favored as the favorites. I guess I'll go for the underdog ML @ 2.29
609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs John Ryder - May 6th in Mexico on: March 29, 2023, 07:09:30 PM
Perhaps he will bet on Ryder, we don't know. But for those who have been following Canelo's career, obviously he will be the smart bet here, but not ML. We should look for value for our money in this fight.
Yeah, I think the chance for Canelo to win via decision is higher than Canelo to win via knockout since Ryder get knocked out was on 2015, it's already 2023 so he must be have train his body. When Canelo fight with a quite good boxers, he can via KO at late round e.g. 11th round, so it just depends on which odds is higher, either Canelo win via decision or Canelo to win at 10-12 round.

I agree, there's a good chance that this fight will end by a way of decision in-favor of Canelo Alvarez considering that Canelo is still observing his wrist after it got repaired. We can say that it's not yet at its full power as his camp are still observing what would happen and its effect into Canelo, so yes, they won't be chasing for KO this time but if there's a chance, why not as that will end the fight much earlier and would favor them much.

Just too unfortunate for John Ryder, not underestimating but he's just there to be Canelo's testing ground. No offense to his fans, just a pure thought though.
610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 28, 2023, 05:35:59 PM
Nothing too exciting going on in the NBA today. A couple games on TNT but the only game that seemed interesting to me was the late game between the Golden State Warriors and the New Orleans Pelicans. They’re still jockeying for position in the playoff race so it should be a hard fought game.
Yes, no interesting games to watch except the Warriors vs NOP match-up but I'll be watching the Cavs vs Hawks because I got a feeling that it will be a good one, and betting on the sidelines.

Anyway, the Warriors are expected to bounce back in this game and improve their standing, and although the Warriors are already proven to be devastating at home, they can't slack on this one because the Pelicans are always performing in an unexpected manner especially McCollum when he's hot. Now, regarding the Warriors line-up, Green and Poole is probable while Zion and Alvarado are still ruled out on NOP's side.

Quote
Everyone in New Orleans is hoping we see Zion Williamson sooner than later.
The latest update about Zion is that he is going to be re-evaluated in the next two weeks, the same with Alvarado.
611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 28, 2023, 02:35:55 PM
Anyway, here is the price tag of the PPV and I may have to agree with the writer's comment about the expensive price.

Quote
You can imagine that many boxing fans will be hopping mad at the price for the Davis-Garcia event and choose to watch it for free on an illegal stream on April 22nd instead of paying the $84.99.
Source: Gervonta Davis Vs. Ryan Garcia For $84.99 On PPV On April 22 - Boxing News 24 (https://www.boxingnews24.com/2023/03/gervonta-davis-vs-ryan-garcia-for-84-99-on-ppv-on-april-22/)

That's a lot of money for just watching it on TV.
I may also pass and just wait for the replay. Stay out of the social media department to avoid receiving spoilers and watch the fight in silence with a beer in my hand.
I don't agree with the expensive price too, they are just ruining the chance of making more money because I am sure there will be a lot of illegal streamers that would broadcast this live on different websites and even in popular social media apps.

I guess that is somehow expected considering that this bout is already considered as a mega fight, the PPV price is just $5 below Mayweather-McGregor's PPV price. But yes, that's quite expensive for this one and instead of maximizing their profits to have a lot of PPV buys, they are in-fact making it to the opposite way by setting a high price like that. They thought it would be worth it and would be bought by a lot of people because they are basing from the fact that if there's a lot of people who are willing to pay for an expensive ticket, how much more for their PPVs.
Anyway, let's see what would be the result of their decision for riding the hype and taking advantage while these boxers are being talked a lot.
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: March 28, 2023, 10:14:38 AM
I think it all goes down to the right amount for split.  If they agreed on the reward money, then the fight will be finalized.  So for the fight between Crawford and Spence to happen, someone has to sacrifice his purse.

I don't really think that the purse split is really the big issue here for why the anticipated mega bout isn't materialized for real.

Alright, let's say yes that purse is one of the reasons, I believed there might be other big issues.

I mentioned before that it was reported that Spence seems not in good shape anymore to settle a bout at 147 that's why they want to test the waters at 154. We will only see a clear view of Spence's future plan once we see the result of his debut fight at 154.

Certainly, it's not about the purse split and that was also the rumored reason about the supposed unification that wasn't materialized, purse split again. It's been clear that either Thurman or Crawford are willing to accept as low as 30% slice of the cake just to make the fight happen but as usual, Errol Spence Jr. has been making up excuses that he's not in good shape or whatsoever their camp wanted to say. If that's truly the case, Spence should just vacate the belt because there are lots of boxers that are much deserve to have it and willing to fight for it because this division could've been more entertaining but because of him, lots of fight has been delayed because of his selfishness.
613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 28, 2023, 09:21:35 AM
The Utah Jazz are fighting for their chance to make the play-in tournament. They are currently on a three-game losing streak and are now playing against the Suns. This is fun to watch because the scores are close, and since they are playing at home, I believe they have a decent chance of winning the game.

There's still no Durant for the Suns and no Clarkson for the Jazz. But even without Clarkson, the Jazz have shown that they are still a good team that can beat top-ranked teams. The Suns should not be an exception to that as the Jazz have already beaten the Celtics and the Kings before on the same floor.

They lost in the 4th quarter, which is unfortunate for them. The game ended with a score of 117-103 in favor of the road team. I think as they continue to lose, they might miss the play-in opportunity this season.

However, I still think we can call this season successful for the Jazz, since they weren't expected to compete at a high level. I believe most of us expected them to tank this season.

Yes, the Utah Jazz had an unexpected run this season and that was really unexpected from a team that was just formed last off-season, and take note, they are still on a rebuilding process. The management couldn't be more happy with the performance their team gave and honestly, this is not a failure on their side because the newly formed roster gave the other teams on the league a hard time.

No need to demand more from this team because even if they can participate in the playoffs, they won't reach further because they are still an unexperienced team.
I will expect that the Jazz will come back more stronger next season as they will rectify their mistakes and improve what they lack this upcoming off-season.
614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: March 28, 2023, 01:58:28 AM

that is so wrong mate , why deny yourself from gaining even if it is small money since your friends are directly asking you about the site to gamble?

you are also denying yourself from getting a chance to make your friend find a site that is safe to play since you refer it to them.

referral can be a sideline to earn and if this is knocking on your door? then please get the opportunity because you are lucky in having been asked by a friend and no need to lure them to use your referral.
I don't think the user knows how much he would have generated if the friends h registered using his link since he already mentioned that his friends are active gamblers. And referral bonuses are calculated based on the referee's activities and the number and amount of wagering done.

-another thing I suspected in ops may be that he is a lucky guy who has won severally and does not see referral commission as something meaningful, but then no matter how small the income may be, it can be used to play some more and aspect fo win bigger amount from that.
That could be possibly true as it seemed he’s not completely interested to claim his referral bonuses knowing it could give him more advantage to try his luck and win significant amount. However, that’s a good thing also as relying entirely from commissions will only end up in disappointments, most especially if those gamblers suddenly stop from betting because they don’t like the casino services.
615  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't be greedy – a short goose story on: March 28, 2023, 01:12:23 AM
I've heard this story and also seen bitcoin compared to the goose that lays golden eggs.
That said, the story can be interpreted in a different way: don't be too greedy, sell your coins when you're in profit because most investors usually lose. Be in profit, even if it's just 10%. Don't hope for 200% as you may never get it.

Being a hodler myself, I prefer your way of seeing things, OP. I'm not going to give my bitcoin away for a fraction of its ATH price. The lower it goes below the ATH the more stubborn I'll be. If they want my bitcoins they'll have to offer an arm and a leg Cool
True. Stay away from greed and you will never lose from your bitcoin investment. If the market is in profits, then take time to sell. It’s not necessary to sell only when you see maximum profits, what’s more important here is you never sell for a loss. The more you become more greedy, the more you chase for bigger profits, and it’s devastating when the moment you decide to sell, bitcoin price suddenly drop sharply. That’s the consequence of long term hodling without wanting to sell even for minimal profits.
616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chasing looses Vs Finding closure: Any difference? on: March 27, 2023, 10:55:16 PM
Apparently, if one gambler will keep on chasing his losses, he is not making a closure on it, instead he is gambling to lose more. That is the reality in gambling, the more you gamble, the higher chances you lose more. Although gambling is not all about losing, as some still find luck and gain huge profits, but in most cases, people gamble and gradually see themselves losing in the end. That’s why it’s still best to gamble responsibly, and gamble only an amount you can afford to lose.
617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you feel bad while paying with BTC? on: March 27, 2023, 10:21:10 PM
Hello everyone!
Recently I was thinking about BTC payments and I believe that the system is moving towards bitcoin adoption and paying with bitcoin. And it's great!

But the problem for me is that anytime I think about paying with BTC I feel somehow uncomfortable. I always remember the guy who spent 30+ bitcoins on pizza and now these bitcoins are worth a fortune. Like I don't want to be this guy and pay with an asset that WILL go up in price. It feels like you paying more for the product from a future perspective.

What are your thoughts about this? Personally, I usually try to buy with stablecoins if I have some, it just feels more natural for me. I don't want to touch my BTC while the market is still bad.
Even myself, I always have this feeling that if I spend my btc at the moment, I will never get the chance to be more profitable in the future knowing that bitcoin price will certainly grow in time. But if the situation needs my btc so badly, of course I will never hesitate to sell and spend it. But as much as I can, I always spend my fiat first and maybe if the amount is not sufficient, then that’s the time to spend a little amount of my btc as well.
618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Guys!! I was finally able to buy my home thanks to Bitcoin!!! on: March 27, 2023, 09:39:56 PM
Congratulations OP, you can be so proud of what you’ve achieved, at still a young ago too. Good or you, young man. I really do enjoy reading success stories on the forum about people really achieving goals through bitcoin.
Please continue to hang around the forum, it’s a much better place with people like yourself.

Exactly. We need this kind of people in the forum as they bring positive energy to all of us. Thank you for the inspiration OP and congrats on your new achievement. It’s always my dream to have my own house and until now, I’m still working on it. Hope you will continue to inspire others like you inspire mine. And for that, we should be grateful to bitcoin always.
619  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will you advice a new trader to join a trading community or group? on: March 26, 2023, 10:45:07 PM
As a trader, things can get difficult and discouraging if you cannot relate with any other person who will have a good understanding of what you are saying concerning trading, to solve that challenge, are you part of any trading community or group that you share tips and new strategies? What other ways can you say you have benefited from being in a community asides sharing of tips and strategies. Are you doing better than when you did things on your own. Can there be any major disadvantage being a member of such a trading groups? What is your advice to people?
I would never hesitate to advice a newbie to join a trading community so that he will be aware on what is real trading is all about. That way, he will gain more insights on how to be a successful trader and a consistent profitable one. But I would always want to clear this thing in the first place that trading is certainly more losses for newbies than real gains. And whatever trading strategy that might work for others does not guarantee that it will also work for you. I guess he will be more cautious to trade knowing that.
620  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the government can really make a way to end poverty or it depends on us? on: March 26, 2023, 09:43:43 PM
In my country i observed so many people doing rally and blame the government why the basic needs price rise and the salary is still very low and not enough for daily expenses, is this the effect of the Ukraine and russia war that makes the gas or crude oil so high at price and they pass the gas expenses to the product and it ends to very high price of the basic needs that make us very poor, I see government has a move to resolve the problem but many people are still blaming the government.
I know the government has its responsibility to end poverty, but I don’t think they will eventually put an end to it if also the people are not doing their part. Both should help each other so that poverty if not totally gone, at least it’s reduced or controlled. But take note that we should not rely completely from the government, we should also learn to work on our own and find a stable source of income so that we can provide for our family, and not just being dependent on what the government can give to us.
