What did I miss?

Have all the sky daddy believers killed each other yet?

 Roll Eyes

I'm going to enjoy eating some pork tonight. Might have some extra to make up for a couple of sky daddy believers not eating any today.

hmm pork .  bacon and eggs.

better yet slow roasted fresh pork shred it or pull it and mix it with tomato sauce peppers onions and cannellini beans. Then lay it all on a plate of riced califlower.

Basically keto with a little carb. I can eat as much as I want.

Lose weight and no sugar spike.

To miss out on the meal above is sad.

I have seven day adventist friends moslem friends and jewish friends that won’t ever know what that tastes like.

Pork is about the only decently priced meat these days...  Fortunately, it's also wonderful.  I too am a fan of the slow roasted pork roast.  Day 1 I eat pork and potatoes.  Day 2 I eat pulled pork sandwiches.  Day 3 the leftover pork gets tossed in a pot with some beans (cannellini, kidney, black), corn, carrots, potatoes, bell pepper, garlic, tomatoes, and pretty much anything I can find to add flavor in my cabinets (pepper, salt, cayenne pepper, mustard, hot sauce, chef's bouquet, etc.).  Then I'll enjoy the stew for a couple days.  It's a great way to eat like a King for 4-5 days on less than $20.  Considering the dip we just had, I might have to whip up a batch next week.
642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: April 14, 2024, 06:21:12 PM
I'm not gonna lie, this bet doesn't have the greatest odds of winning...  However, I think it is also extremely more likely to hit than once out of 176 times, so this is another bet against the odds because the odds are wrong.  Smiley  Sure, it's throwing money away, but if this hits it will be probably my most exciting gambling win ever.  Worth the cost of admission to take this ride today.

Orlando Magic - Milwaukee Bucks
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Milwaukee Bucks

New York Knicks - Chicago Bulls
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Chicago Bulls

Oklahoma City Thunder - Dallas Mavericks
Winner (Incl. Overtime)

Edit: That Bucks performance in the 4th quarter was downright shameful.  Here's my second bet for the day that makes up for the hail mary bet hopefully...

Philadelphia 76ers - Brooklyn Nets
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Philadelphia 76ers

Boston Celtics - Washington Wizards
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Boston Celtics

Indiana Pacers - Atlanta Hawks
Winner (Incl. Overtime)

Imagine being that much of a paper-handed, sissy bitch that you start selling your Bitcoin because Iran sends drones to Israel  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Never going to be me.

I think that was just the straw that broke the camel’s back. Profit taking before the halving, tax selling as the deadline approaches, and forced liquidations probably played a large role as well. Maybe with some luck we won’t see a post halving profit taking drop because they’re all getting out now, but I also wouldn’t be totally shocked if we revisited $52K one more time before a year long bull run.
644  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 13, 2024, 08:07:57 PM
Oh boy. There’s a drop with some volume. I suspect we may see a bit of a rebound now but that may be wishful thinking. Let us hope we don’t see lower lows from here but there’s also a chance this kicks off another wave of selling and cascading liquidations. I will get worried if we dip below $60,700. Looks like the halving fun is kicking off a bit early!
645  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Arizona Supreme Court rules state can use 1864 law to ban nearly ALL abortions on: April 13, 2024, 07:34:58 PM
I think regardless of your stance on abortion you should be able to respect that states have rights and are choosing to have different abortion policies. This is how the United States of America is supposed to work. If you don’t like the laws in your state, relocate to a state that appeases you. That’s the freedom America offers. Take advantage.
646  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I disagree that each person has the right to choose their own path in life. on: April 13, 2024, 07:33:30 PM
Sure, parents have a great deal of control over their children until they reach the age of 18 (at least where I’m from). That is just the beginning of life though and doesn’t stop someone from pursuing their dreams once they reach adulthood. Many people go against their family’s wishes and do what they want in life.
647  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 13, 2024, 07:29:55 PM
Looks like we’ll be getting Hong Kong on board next week. It remains to be seen what the effect will be, but I have decent expectations. At the least it should help a little bit with the profit taking selloff once the halving is in the rear view. We’re halfway through the GBTC selloff and mtgox is up next. I’m still expecting fireworks around Halloween once all the selling is done.
648  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Launching a Physical Bitcoin project (KHRUSOS) on: April 13, 2024, 05:31:47 PM
BrotherJon recently passed away! I was asked to inform everyone that they shouldn't order from the KHRUSOS website because the orders will not be filled.

Thanks

I didn’t have any interaction with BrotherJon but I was curious after seeing this post and looked into it a bit (a Google search). It is sad that he passed away so young and with seemingly a bright future ahead of him. He only made a few posts here, but it seems like he made a strong connection with a couple of you.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 13, 2024, 05:25:37 PM

Quite interesting to see these 3 teams having exactly the same standings with only 2 games left. This could change anytime and we might not going to see the Lakers and the Warriors play against each other in the play-in tournament.
The Lakers might going to play against the Kings and it will not be a good match up for them as the Kings were undefeated against the Lakers in the last couple of years, and also Davis did not win against Sabonis his entire career. So, the Lakers are in huge trouble now.
The Warriors are also not in good hand against the Phoenix as they are 1-3 against them and only won the last game with only 1 point difference.
Well, things are getting interesting in the last 2 games for both the play-in teams and the top seed teams.

The best things that would happen to the Lakers are: first, New Orleans needs to win against the Warriors; they need to beat the Warriors so the Warriors will go down in the seeding. Next, Phoenix needs to beat the Sacramento Kings too, and with that, Sacramento will go down in the seeding. Lastly, the Lakers need to win all of the remaining games they had, which are the Pelicans and Grizzlies. The Grizzlies should be an easy win for them, and the and the Pelicans are 50-50 since Brandon Ingram will be suiting up (of course it's the Lakers LOL) after missing some games. But I think the Lakers can win this if they manage to set the tone early and are healthy.

With that, the Lakers will be the 8th seed, and they can escape either the Sacramento Kings or the Warriors since it will be 7th vs. 8th, and they should win their play-in so they can get the 7th seed and escape the Warriors and Kings. If they manage to manage the 7th seed, they can face either the Wolves or the Thunder in the first round.

Just as expected, the Warriors lost to the Pelicans 109-114, the Kings lost to the Suns 107-108, and the Lakers survived maybe one of the worst games of the season, 120-123 against the Lakers. Now, with the Lakers at the 8th seed, they have control of their own destiny. They just need to win the last game of their season against the Pelicans; with a win, they can guarantee the 8th seed, and if they lose, they will be at the 10th seed. This will be important for the Pelicans as well, as they need to win this game so they can secure the 6th seed and avoid the play-in, and with a loss, they will fall to the 7th seed.

Basically, if the Lakers win the game against the Pelicans, they will be facing each other again in the play-in for the 7th seed. So they will be facing each other twice (if the Lakers win the last game of the season).

The Western Conference is definitely making the end of the season a little bit more interesting than normal. There’s such a close run for not only the play-in, but also at the top of the conference. A huge contrast to what we see in the Eastern Conference, where it is very clear there is a big gap between number 1 and number 10.
650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: LET'S TALK ABOUT HOW STAKE, 500 CASINO, BC.GAME AND OTHERS ALL A FUCKING SCAM on: April 12, 2024, 11:57:41 PM
I’ve used Stake for quite some time and have never had any issues with any of their claims. If you have any evidence to backup your claim, you should post it so that you seem serious and aren’t just ranting like a lunatic. What probably fair games are you having issues with or think are not legitimately provably fair?
651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are the good days for meme coins gone forever ? on: April 12, 2024, 06:24:24 PM
The fact that meme coins exist at all shows that these are the good days for them.  Lets be honest, they're worthless and the only people buying them are degenerates who know they have no value but think they might pump up enough for them to make some money.  It's a form of gambling pretending to be investing and it preys on the ignorant investing class that is able to access crypto but is afraid of actual investments.  Sure, they're funny and making a ton of money overnight is cool, but in the end they'll be worthless and investors will be fleeced.  If you're involved in them, know this and have an exit point.
652  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon Nano 3 [unofficial thread] on: April 12, 2024, 06:21:21 PM
I already have mine and I have decided to leave it running at Medium speed. I find the high speed forced, the consumption increases noticeably, the fan noise increases considerably and the power supply gets too hot. Low speed is inefficient.
The Medium speed consumes 90W, provides 3.3 Terahash and is practically silent.

That does seem pretty great when compared to other options that are available.  I didn't even know these things existed until I stumbled on a youtube video praising them.  I decided to pick one up to keep hashing throughout the summer here in the desert and I'm sure 90W will be able to be cooled without too much of an issue.  It remains to be seen how great these are after the halving but hopefully they're still profitable for most folks.  I'm looking forward to being back on the sha256 hashing wagon.  Smiley
653  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INTEREST/ACCEPTING OFFERS] Casascius Items: 1000 BTC, VOID, 25x3, 100 BTC bar on: April 12, 2024, 06:15:44 PM
That is one lovely looking 1000 BTC gold Cas coin.....have not see one in years! Any idea what the last one went for?

From what I can find, last one that sold here on the forum went for 2BTC, which was approximately $21000 at the time of sale

Watching this one to see what people are valuing these at.  It is tempting to keep mine so that I have a complete precious metals Casascius collection with in-tact holograms, but everyone has their price.  I've turned down 2 BTC offers in the past, but it would be hard to do so again with the current exchange rate.

Crazy to see a Casascius void coin being offered for sale as well.  Those are 2 great pieces but unfortunately don't hold any BTC so I can certainly understand why someone would part with such iconic pieces.  It's hard to keep pace with Bitcoin no matter how awesome something is.
654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 12, 2024, 06:12:11 PM
On the 300k bonus, they prolly did it because it's UFC '300'...  Get it?  Grin  And I didn't watch the vid.  Is it just for this event or is it gonna be a regular thing?  Expect violence for the 300k, 10 matches might not go the distance.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Obviously it was because of UFC 300 that he's giving a $300,000 bonus but I think it also says a little something...  Dana White seems to be acknowledging that fighter pay needs some improvement and I hope this is just a first step.  These fighters should probably be making 10x as much as they are and a bigger bonus is nice, but it would also be nice if he announced things like paying for training leading up to fights for fighters, better insurance, and some individual advertising for their brands.  UFC needs to start making fighters into stars instead of finding stars to make into champions.
655  Economy / Economics / Re: Cash is not trash on: April 12, 2024, 04:16:00 PM
With bond yields starting to creep again and inflation having a second wave here, it is clear that cash is going to be considered King again shortly.  If stocks start really correcting in a big way like in 2008 and bank interest rates near 6%, it will be very clear that cash is the place to have been.  I'm not sure if that's what we're going to see, but that's the direction we appear to be headed at the moment.  I'd say we've hit the point of taking a little off the table after this 15 year bull run and making sure that you're setup with cash in the event you suffer a job loss and serious drop in asset value.
656  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 12, 2024, 04:11:32 PM
We are below $69,420 USD.

Now would be a good time to possibly consider making a effort to pretend being worried..

I'm sure it'll stick around the price range.  Obviously some rich folks have a sense of humor and the market is going to be manipulated to hit $69,420 a week from now.  It shows that we here in Bitcoinland enjoy ourselves and have a little fun with our money.  Smiley

Still, Bitcoin seems to be holding up pretty strong in the face of a global selloff of assets as the world seemingly prepares for Iran to attack Israel and the US response that is likely to plunge us deeper into WWIII.  Scary times...
657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: April 12, 2024, 04:07:52 PM
A lot of mismatches today that I felt could go the same way so I added a ton of games to the parlay today.  I did take the Bulls as an underdog to the Wizards just because the Wizards continue to disappoint.  I'm not sure I like the odds for how many games this is, but it should make the day entertaining.  Good luck!

Washington Wizards - Chicago Bulls

Philadelphia 76ers - Orlando Magic

658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: April 12, 2024, 02:10:30 AM
Dana White at the press conference for UFC 300 just responded to a reporter’s request to raise the bonus for fighter of the night by saying OK and asking what to raise it to. After some suggestions he finally said 300! The fighters have to be pumped about that. It’s a 6x increase from the normal bonus. Hope we see something spectacular.
659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 11, 2024, 11:08:06 PM
Looks like the Minnesota Timberwolves will be getting Karl Anthony Towns back in time for the playoffs. With how well they’ve been playing I’m not sure if this is a good thing or not, but KAT is an elite talent so I’m sure he’ll help out. I just hope Anthony Edwards continues to get the ball as much. He’s playing great.
660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling A Hobby? on: April 11, 2024, 09:56:10 PM
I think gambling is a hobby. It really isn’t too far from playing video games. It’s sort of the original video game but they had to add in the chance to win money otherwise they would be too boring by today’s standards. In a world where some people are crazy enough to think gambling is a job, be someone who considers it a hobby.
