also - guys with 10 or more: it's been brought to my attention that one such order got priority shipping, not express. i'm thinking that, despite my instructions, the office depot worker screwed up. if you guys could check to see if this is the case for you and let me know, i'd appreciate it. i'll figure out some sort of compensation if it's the case. probably a btc refund.

Mine is showing up as Priority as well.  Delivery is supposed to be Tuesday, so I don't need a refund.  Keep up the good work.

By the way, EBay removed one (1) of my listings because I had a link to the USB driver Friedcat posted.

Bastards!

I reckon you'll be doing a mad scramble to unpack them, and then get them packed up again, and to the post office to ship out the same day.

Maybe if Arklan's feeling nice he'll tell you the weight of each miner so you can prepare the labels in advance.

4 dual-chip boards off of one 18-ga wire (pair) is OK.  4 quad-chip boards isn't.

So...did any get shipped out today?  The spreadsheet doesn't show any.

My post office is open 'til 11 AM on Saturdays.
824  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 24, 2013, 04:50:19 PM
Just received my shipping notice that the miners were shipped to me.
Thanks ARKLAN!!!!!!!
You rock!!!!!
Hope you get to feeling better.

Very exciting to hear ! BTW, as a multiple adoptive cat owner, I appreciate your Animal Rescue Foundation of Texas image !

I guess you must really hate friedcat then.... Wink

I actually had srs reservations over buying shares because of the name.

Either arklan is selling some or someone ganked your photos. Smiley

ummm, sorry about that...

I'm going to replace the pictures as soon as I snap my own.

These USB miners are IN HAND

LOL.  I guess you didn't specify which hand.
826  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL not responding to a refund request on: May 23, 2013, 11:35:04 PM
The OP has only one option:

Write Emails.

I have written ONE to office@butterflylabs.com and gotten my refunds within 4 days. And that was THIS week.

Unless OP paid with paypal backed by a credit card.  Then they may have more than one option.
827  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 23, 2013, 11:32:30 PM
yea, it's cool. i won't be shipping out this first batch til tomorrow.

Speaking of shipping tomorrow, it would probably be a good idea to ask your post office what their cutoff time is for domestic Express Mail.  At my post office it's 1:30 PM.  Any Express Mail shipments not received before the cutoff time will not arrive the next day, but the day after.
828  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon... BitSyncom... can you please tell why the 10K chips are on hold? on: May 23, 2013, 11:02:02 PM
That's good news.

Suggest you add [resolved] to thread title.
829  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 23, 2013, 08:36:13 PM
Nice.  I don't need mine tested myself.  Just pack 'em up and ship 'em over here.  Thanks.   Grin

that's the plan.

can you blame me for hooking up MY 5 first though? Cheesy

Hehe, of course not.  A shame they're not mining away already.

I'd try linux or a linux VM if one's available.

this script does "EVERYTHING" for you and it's a ready to go script, it installs/configures CGminer for you and makes it ready to mine!

Nice script.  Thanks for sharing it.

Is it really necessary to specify the vendor and product IDs when loading the LKM?  I've always had it work without specifying those.

If they are indeed necessary, you may want to add "rmmod ftdi_sio" beforehand, to unload the module in case it's already loaded (without having had those parameters specified).
832  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [UPDATE] BFL ASIC Status (May 23 2013) on: May 23, 2013, 05:41:15 PM
Josh promised to donate a quarter to the victims' families...next week.

*mumbles something about a promise of donating 1000 BTC to charity*

There's also the matter of Josh's other 1,000 BTC wager regarding power targets, which AFAIK he has not paid:

NEVER stack the PSUs!!! Tonight the topmost of them (after about 4 hours of full load work) has been literally blown away by the heat, with the plastic enclosure partially melted!

Plastic enclosure huh?  Sounds like a wallwart or brick-style power adapter.  Not recommended (by me).

Personally, I run all my stacks off of quality 80-Plus ATX power supplies (Seasonic, Antec).

it has arrived in my area, but any trucks would have alreayd headed out by then, so maybe not today. Sad

Yeah, maybe not, though sometimes the trucks leave later.

The final status before delivery would be "With delivery courier".
835  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 23, 2013, 03:21:29 PM
looks like the first package arrived in cincinnati, ohio a few hours ago, if i'm reading the tracking right, which i may not be. "customs status updated" with the location of cincinnati listed.

looks like delivery tomorrow of the first box is likely.

It wouldn't have arrived by then.  That just means that the US Customs agents on the plane have cleared it.  It will show a separate event to indicate arrival.

Cincinnati?

Did the plane overshoot the runway by 1,500 miles?  Or is the DHS headquarters there?

I'm on the east coast US, and all my DHL shipments from Asia arrive via the Cincinnati hub, before going to another DHL facility, and finally to me.

I would expect delivery sometime today (Thursday).
836  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [AVALON] - I got my ASIC Thread (Batch #2) on: May 21, 2013, 02:32:49 PM
I received my batch 2 unit yesterday.

It's black, and is in pristine condition with no visible wear or damage, thank "bob".

It came with the sides of the box packed with stacks of Chinese newspapers to help protect it, which must have added at least 3Kg to the shipping weight.

It has the 2 LEDs on the front (green and yellow), and looks like it has some kind of an air channel card installed in the empty module slot.  It came with the 0419 firmware installed.

It's happily mining away on top of my silver batch 1 unit.

Now if I'd just hear back about my trade-ins...

Sell your preorder to a greater fool.

How do I increase the window size? I can only see 14, hoping there's one more but the window won't resize.

Install cygwin and run cgminer in its terminal program, which has a properly resizable window.

http://www.cygwin.com/

Cygwin is standard equipment on all of my Windows instances.
839  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Avalon ASIC Batch #1 Ships on: May 17, 2013, 02:07:35 PM
Had one (or more) of the modules broken loose inside?
840  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS: Ztex 1.15y FPGA on: May 17, 2013, 12:24:10 AM
Pic added.

What are the red wires in the pic, attached to the terminal blocks on the top and bottom boards?  You don't have those connected to the +5V line coming from an ATX PSU, do you?
