901  Other / Meta / Re: Captcha on: June 27, 2018, 09:10:12 PM
If you don't clear your browser's data (and not using private mode) you can be logged in for years (OK, for months, in a year time you have to upgrade and reinstall or change your PC anyway Smiley ), and you won't be bothered to log in and to solve a captcha/recaptcha.
That's not true. Every website has a specific period for their session token to be valid. Some may keep it for week or maybe a month or two.Browser caches will be updated if session token expires and you'd be forced to log in again.
The problem is (as were already mentioned above) when you need to log in again because of anything, you have to think hard to remember your password... (if it's not on the side of your screen on a yellow post-it, of course Smiley )
Well..it's a mind game you see. I can remember my passwords for 20+ websites. None of them are same or easily crack-able through brute-force attacks.
902  Other / Meta / Re: Fighting spam and spammers on: June 27, 2018, 02:05:01 PM
Hmm... I was expecting more interest on this topic. Seems like I'm the only one bothered by spam or want to find solutions for it.
People have given up. Such topics are opened in this board every week or so.Result? It gets buried again without any reasonable solutions.

I know there were multiple threads on this spam issue but no solutions were implemented to stop the root cause, just the effect.
There is no specific solution which will satisfy all the use cases. Merits to a certain extent helps ranking accounts but the merit bubble has already burst. All your suggestions revolve around signature campaigns which is not the only source of spam on the forum.
903  Other / Meta / Re: [SUGGESTION] Minimum Merit Required for Signature Campaigns on: June 27, 2018, 01:56:28 PM
I have seen some exceptional posters and some good quality posts without any merits. If I had to manage any campaigns, merits wouldn't be the criteria for me to judge a person's post quality. You might have come cross trolls/one line shit posts with high number of merit points and that doesn't count as constructive posting to me. Highly subjective topic again.
904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ◎◉◉ CryptoSpin - First Ethereum Slot Machine Properly Built ◉◉◎ on: June 27, 2018, 01:53:22 PM
Images not yet showing

It is because of your rank, newbie is not able to do it. If you want to make a good ANN thread then you can buy the cooper member title so you can upload an image on your post.
Check this thread for more details about paid memberships and its benefits.

BTC to post, then BTC to membership. Ummm.
Technically no. You weren't ask any BTC to post your thread, were you? You're asked to pay to buy a copper membership to prove you are serious about posting images and not just spamming which is appropriate. Wouldn't hurt to spend a few satoshi's to display images when you're running an entire gambling site. If you think  this is too much, wait for the marketing campaigns Smiley
905  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature Anti-Spam Campaign Managers on: June 27, 2018, 01:48:15 PM
What about Joel_Jatsen? I’m not sure if he still actively manages signature campaigns up to this day but I once participated in a campaign managed by him. He strongly advocates his policy for zero tolerance towards spamming. In one of his campaign rules, he has stated that he won’t count the posts that has redundantly repeated what has been said by the previous 100 replies so he really makes it a point that the participants do not spam. Also, I did not encounter any problems throughout the duration of the campaign and all payments were promptly made.
Hmm...  I think he is a good manager, I saw the campaign and the spreadsheet, looks decent enough for me. I would have to think about it, and I will mostly add him, unless someone convinces me to do otherwise with strong proof. I would also have to check if he is still into campaign management.  Smiley
Thanks for the heads up! Yes I have managed campaigns in the past and have hold reasonable amount of money as escrow for the campaigns. However, I'm too busy these days to do campaign management stuff so I wouldn't like to be added on the list just yet.Anyway, thanks for your words of support.
906  Economy / Services / Re: want to buy $30 porn account (using credit card) i pay $50 in btc on: June 27, 2018, 01:41:11 PM
Be careful with such deals. Credit cards are charged on monthly subscription. Even though OP's service will be a one time payment, there is no guarantee he wouldn't generate a huge bill for the next billing cycle which may result in card getting charged the next month. Also the card details will be saved on the profile which I suppose can also be easy to unauthorised access.

I wouldn't recommend anyone doing this just for a couple of bucks.
907  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: looking for good UI developers on: June 27, 2018, 01:36:04 PM
hello,

looking for good UI developers for my project , will be paid bounty , pm me if interested
- No skilled  UI developers will work for your shitty bounty.
 - You didn't even care to elaborate which technology stack you're looking for, what technologies will be used and the number of years of experience required.. What skills do you bring to the table anyway?

 - This is the problem with ICO's they hire some rookies to somehow develop the website but have no real intention of achieving anything.
908  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: A Blockchain platform for Human Mobility - Will it work? on: June 27, 2018, 01:29:52 PM
Apart from existing partnerships with mobility providers. Do you guys think a lot of developers/businesses would want to hop on to develop a MaaS application?
To be honest, MaaS itself is a new kid on the block. Not sure how many business have started to use them already. As far as the business implementation is concerned, I think it's too soon for businesses to adapt blockchain in real life. As good as it sounds, blockchain can certainly innovate the traditional platform but businesses aren't just ready yet. Such projects don't make it out of their white paper.
909  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How does blockchain technology on real world service work? on: June 27, 2018, 01:25:11 PM
How does the blockchain technology apply to the real world service?
The same it applies everywhere? For instance, public ledger and fast transactions.

If I would like to have a blockchain technology on a supply chain service, which means under this technology, each block contains all the logistics information like storing a transaction from Singapore to Hong Kong right? So then it is just act like a database but just public can view it? then why should I necessary to develop such a service on blockchain but not continue using centralized database technology, only allow permission for beneficial stakeholders?

Please correct me as I am having a very messy concept on this topic right now.... Thank you~!
Bitcoin can definitely change how logistics are handled. But why would you want to make it decentralised? I wouldn't like shipping information or anything that I order on a public chain to be honest.Arent all the supply chain companies centralised already? What benefits would implementing blockchain bring? The supply chain will remain centralised anyway.
910  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Porn anyone? on: June 26, 2018, 10:27:23 PM
It's more than popular and use widely! You are not aware of it. Dark Web has wholesome collection of porn for bitcoins. The most famous website back in the day was this : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1379172.160 [NSFW] Pretty sure there are better alternatives by now. The easiest way yet is to visit r/girlsgonebitcoin sub operated by theymos.
911  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Arctus Wallet on: June 26, 2018, 10:22:48 PM
Really impressed by your transitions and user-interface.Although it could be a lot better, you have missed out important validations such as private keys. I input random 2 digit number yet it allows me proceed for selecting coins. I don't see any of the new bitcoin forks added? Please add BCD/BTH/BFI as they have a huge market but no dedicated wallet.

To the open-source part :
1. Add contributing/installing instructions.
2. Add a tutorial on how to use the wallet offline.
3.Webpack can be optimised to compress modules and reduce the bundle size.Check out some good plugins like Uglify/CommonChunks.
4.Good luck with your project. Only if you had used React I could have contributed.
912  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ World Cup 2018 🏆 Free Bets, Price Boosts, Free Spins! 🎉 on: June 26, 2018, 10:07:19 PM
This is shitty, My account got locked for no reason ( no money inside it anyway ). I was just going to give it a try and bet for spain as they have high chance to win. I tried contacted the support through livechat and asked why it was locked. I stated my email and guess what he keep insisting on asking my username  ( like WTF ) then he asked me to send an email to cs@sportsbet.io .

I dont even know whats the purpose of the livechat if I need to send an email about it
You're lucky it wasn't blocked with money in it.Otherwise you'd spend a couple of months verifying your identity to get your own funds. I like how answer to every question in this thread is "cs@sportsbet.io". I wish they could just stop their bitcointalk services and operate from that email instead.

Yeah probably they should. I dont even know what the point of it anymore. Not that I care about the account , I just want to know why the account was blocked anyway. As far as I know, I dont even conduct any violation to their term. The last time I used it was around a week ago for parlay with dust amount ( it lost anyway so it has no money in the account )
If they do not owe you anything they can close your account whenever they like and they are not obligated to give you an explanation.
That is the definition of a terrible service. Imagine google closing your mail service because you aren't receiving mails anymore? Facebook closing your account because you haven't messaged anybody in ages? Sounds stupid to me. BTW he did had a few satoshi's and they shouldn't have closed it without a warning.

Just checked my account after reading your post because my last play was more than 10 days ago (11 days to be exact), but my account is still OK means that I can open it as usual without problem. So for sure it is not because your inactivity for a week, have you tried to ask live support? Closing an account without any reasons is not acceptable although you have no funds on your account. There should be a good reason why they locks your account and they should you about it privately (maybe through your registered email).
They are good with 'selective stuff'. Most of their rules, lotteries, KYC policies are not for everyone, just for a few selective customers.
913  Other / Meta / Re: with bitcoin price collapsing why not start transform this forum? on: June 25, 2018, 11:53:02 PM
bitcoin has now reached another low at 5800 and many of those that are more educated, have a broader economic understanding beyond IT tech,
There wouldn't be any "economy" if wasn't for IT tech. You mean to say these low life MBA grads are smarter than Bitcoin's creator now?

this forum however is still bitcoin fixed, and there could be a goodupgrade if the altcoin section would be transformed into a serious cryptoeconomic related board.
"CryptoEconomic" - Fancy way to address shit coins.

considering that bitcoin would then crash and start being forgotten like netscape navigator (first browser) this forum might have a future then
There is place for you : r/btc You will really have fun with like minded folks there.
914  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for someone to modify a text [35$ to earn] on: June 25, 2018, 11:47:15 PM
My text is composed of the "privacy policy" and the "terms and conditions" of a website.
I want you to modify few words and few sentences (without changing the meaning of the text, obviously)
That's sort of illegal and shady. As far as I know, company's terms and conditions are usually drafted by a legal authority like a lawyer. You can't simply copy someone's terms and conditions and modify them. That simply shows you're not serious about your business. Who knows what else you could have copied from that site?

I can do this for $65, contact me on telegram (@Parodium) if you would like my help.

Check out my service thread;

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3026040.msg31132301#msg31132301
I'm afraid you're doing the right thing. He could be modifying the text to look legitimate. Usually when busting fake ICO's, I check their terms and conditions with a plagiarism checker to see if it's ripped off somewhere. I wouldn't advice going forward with this one.

I feel like giving this a try, is KYC mandatory? and how fast are the payouts?  I just don't want to get scammed with my hard earned cryptos.
They don't have a permanent set of terms and conditions. It keeps changing over night especially if a big amount withdrawal is requested. If I was you, I would rather play on sites that don't have KYC policies.

Since there's no money inside, I wouldn't worry that much since there were other sportsbooks that would have taken your bet.
It's not about money, it's about locking people out of their accounts without a warning.
916  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Major indian exchange gets hacked, 438 bitcoins stolen COINSECURE on: June 25, 2018, 11:26:54 PM
I think it's time to drag them to the court and claim full refund plus compensation and all the other costs.
Anyone here has received refund so far?
You can drag Benson's Ass to the court room. Anyway, it isn't going to help. They would have already bribed the cops, cyber crime officials and everyone who opens their mouths against them. You know how it works in India. You can easily get away with Child Rape/Murder/Bank Robbery if you can bribe the cops. This is just a mere 'bitcoin theft', I'm sure Benson would have handled it professionally with Mohit. Only an idiot will continue using them or any other Indian exchanges.
917  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New cryptocurrency exchange is looking for talented people on: June 25, 2018, 11:20:00 PM
Covering AWS charges isn't enough. There are a lot of tools and tech involved on the security end when you're running an exchange. You definitely need Senior Developers to set things up, hiring Junior Level developers from the forum won't suffice the needs of an exchange development. If you don't have a dedicated CTO, you should get one on-board soon.

Can I ask what type of people are you looking exactly? What skills do you need for your exchange? What step your exchange is currently at?
Sorry for the questions, I am curious to know before I may waste your time with PMs and pretty sure it will be useful for others readers
Exactly! I don't understand how people expect to find talented people when their requirements are unclear/not mentioned.
918  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info is moving domain. on: June 25, 2018, 11:12:46 PM
We have been so used to Blockchain.info for years now, so I think it will be very strange to type in Blockchain.com when they move to the
new domain. <getting nostalgic now>  Grin
What so strange in it? You literally have to just type 3 letters? .info was a messed up domain for a commercial service anyway. They should have done the migrations ages back. I wish along with the migrations they solve the 100 other bugs existing in their current system.

I've never understood why anyone gets a hard on about what final few letters a domain is under. What is relevant is if somewhere as important as blockchain.info owns as many iterations of its domain as possible.
Honestly, noobs and shit-posters will make a big deal out of anything. I can't believe reading some replies here that people were actually emotionally attached to that '.info' domain and they're feeling all nostalgic how their old friend is gone. Heights of loneliness
.
The possibilities for fuckery are otherwise infinite. You see it quite often with other services too.
Yeah! I would be glad if the solved the existing bugs from the system.

Your email is changed recently, your password was changed on : June 18, 2018, 11:14:50 PM And you're staking a new address. Mind explaining what happened? You are a hero member I suppose you should have staked an address a long time back?

From your profile, I found out you have used this address somewhere : 115YqcsHBZVkqGD88YaoLgSyg3XpmuvB3p Can you sign a message from it to prove the real ownership of the account?
Please, read more carefully about this wallet: 115YqcsHBZVkqGD88YaoLgSyg3XpmuvB3p
I bought Macbook  and decided to change  my old email and password. My ERC-20 wallet was hacked and i don't know exactly how it's happened.
Changing your email and password is fine but why are you staking an address now? How come it never occurred to you to stake an address all the way from newbie to Hero member? Your ERC-20 wallet was hacked so do you have any links where you have staked that address?
