941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermell Charlo - September 30th in Las Vegas on: September 01, 2023, 11:09:24 PM
One thing that might go for Charlo here is that he doesn't have to drained himself to 154 lbs. And he is probably the bigger guy here, I mean he is taller that Canelo and could probably be walking more than 168 lbs in the off-season. Just like when we see him in the Spence vs Crawford fight, for me he is walking close to 180-190 lbs that night.

So no more weight draining him in this fight and he could be really be a fit at Middle to Super Middleweight division and very well be comfortable at this weight class that's why he didn't blink and look forward for this fight with Canelo signs a 3 fight deal with PBC.
942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Prime Trust's bankruptcy due to forgotten seed/private key on: September 01, 2023, 10:57:31 PM
Another one bites the dust!!!  Grin

And they only have one task to do, that is to protect their customers. And if they really know that they have lost the seed/private key, then why not have a investigation? They simply declare bankruptcy right away? I will echo the same sentiments here, it's very clear that they messed up and they want to hid everything thru Chapter 11 and hide their incompetency.
943  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for September on: September 01, 2023, 10:27:08 PM
Sideways as well for me.

We started the month at the wrong foot already, so I doubt that we can get over $30k this September and it seems the sentiments are still bearish up to this point. Just in the last 24 hours, we've witnessed a decline already.

And this might continue up to the end of the month, $25k-$28k pattern. We've seen this though in the past, so nothing to worry I guess.
944  Local / Pamilihan / Re: GILAS PILIPINAS UPDATE ON FIBA WORLD CUP! on: September 01, 2023, 09:27:57 PM

Gilas ML @2.37 vs South Sudan

Good game Gilas, improve next time.

945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 01, 2023, 08:14:00 PM
It has been reported that Errol Spence has activated his rematch clause with Crawford at the last minute. He was given at least a month after their first fight. So in Aug 29, he activated but one thing in the clause is that he can choose whether to fight at 147 or 154 lbs.

I have a feeling though that it could be at 154 lbs, but not sure if the belts will be on the line since Crawford won at 147 lbs. So we will see if this fight happens before the end of the year or early next year.
946  Economy / Economics / Re: How to avoid over expenses and have discipline on: August 31, 2023, 09:56:56 PM
usually we spend money according to our prestige, this is what makes us stressed. If we only have enough money for one month, but instead want to buy luxury goods, we end up borrowing money from other people or even banks that charge interest, which makes us stressed. learning not to be prestige is the best way to manage money, I totally agree with the first point.

And that's why majority of us are poor, because we don't have the discipline to control our finances. We just want to buy luxury things that if you have to look at it, it's all nothing and we even don't know if we are going to used it or not.

That's why the OP has laid down some tips. I know it's very difficult to really control ourselves not to spend and buy things around. And so it takes a lot of mental discipline to not over expense and save enough money for the rainy days.
947  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Warning Scam] Okbet casino sobrang hassle on: August 31, 2023, 09:26:31 PM
Update dito.

a. cheater ka daw

948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has your Responsible Gambling had any of these Effects on You? on: August 31, 2023, 09:01:45 PM
This is not a case of being addicted to gambling. There are people who are actually in control of their gambling habits or addiction. For instance, they do not gamble beyond their budget; they commit an hour or two to gambling per week or twice per week and strictly adhere to it, among all other things. We have heard and read stories here and out there about how gambling ruins lives, careers, relationships, throws people into debt and more. But my question is, could this be happening to everybody? Has your responsible gambling habit had any positive effects on your relationships with your spouse, kids, parents, and others? Has it improved your finances and helped you stay out of debt? Has it improved your mental health and well being in anyway? Has it been able to help you meet an urgent need? Let's discuss.

I guess for those who have quit gambling or at least minimized their activities, it could have improved their finances because just like when you quit other vices, you save money as you don't have to spend it like buying cigarettes or smoking (as compare to other addiction).

And definitely when you save some money then you can spend it with your kids and your families as well. Maybe you can buy some gifts or at least you have extra money that you can pull anytime from your wallet and spend it with them.
949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 31, 2023, 08:26:38 PM
Fight week already for Liam Smith vs Chris Eubank Jr - rematch.

Here is the final press conference, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSmMnrxZeRc.

If you will remember, Smith knockout Eubank in their first fight 7 months ago. I was never expecting that, I thought that the bigger guy Eubank could have broken down Smith.

But Liam proved otherwise, he talk trash, but he did what he exactly told in the press conference back then.

Odds not yet odd in my favorite crypto sports bookies though.
950  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Accessible Programs for Aspiring Crypto Influencers. on: August 31, 2023, 08:14:52 PM
Becoming a crypto influencer is often a challenging endeavor, requiring motivation, dedication, and diligence to build your brand. Often, you need a boost in the form of partnerships or to be part of a community to gain the necessary exposure to thrive.

To be fair, not just for crypto, if you really want to involved yourselves in the world of being a influencer, it will take a lot of your time and even careful planning as you will promote your brand - and that is you.

However, a problem arises when it comes to finding the right community or program to partner with. This post is aimed at addressing that issue. Does anyone know of a program that could assist me in becoming KOL or someone with influence and doesn't have overly difficult requirements to fulfill? I'll be in the comment section

For me there you are in the right community, not sure though if we encourage someone here to be a crypto influencer. But for us, if you stay here for a while and be a good community member then that is enough already. As for the requirements, as I have said, there is none. Perhaps just go around the community here, learn and understand. Best of luck to you.
951  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we experience $80k this year? on: August 31, 2023, 03:10:05 AM
We will not be able to experience 80k this year, because more than half time of this year is over, and so far where Bitcoin has not broken the level like 30k, how will it go up to 80k? Rather its value is getting duller and its value has dropped to 26k now. as a result of this Of course we understand that we may not experience 80k this year.

That is obvious though, $80k is very big for us right now. Perhaps it can be achieved on the next bull run for us. Even the $30k price seems to be the biggest barrier because we have a hard time breaking that price.

Although you mentioned that it had dropped to $26k, it even drop further to highs of $25k. However, with some good news about the Spot ETF, it seems it has gain traction in the last couple of days and now pushing above $27k.
952  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Warning Scam] Okbet casino sobrang hassle on: August 30, 2023, 09:16:31 PM
Turns out to be scam casino. I consider my money as loss dahil walang way talaga para macontact ang support at iniignore nako ng support nila sa messenger nila.

Ingat sa casino na ito guys!

Scam Accusation Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5464907

Licensed by PAGCOR naman to kabayan, baka ma-open mo yong mo bukas or sa makalawa.

Casino games ba nilaro mo kabayan or sportsbetting lang?

953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - Nov 15 on: August 30, 2023, 09:02:06 PM
Jerwin's only accomplishment at bantamweight is beating a journeyman on a 5 fight losing streak, yet somehow ends up getting an opportunity to fight for a title. We see once again that it's all about being well connected if you want to be a champion. Ancajas is a limited fighter but this is not the strongest division and Inoue is a beatable fighter. At this point another setback would be devastating but if he can win it would be interesting to see him against Alexandro Santiago who defeated Donaire a month ago.

I guess of all the rank boxers in WBA organization, only the name of Ancajas rings a bell. And perhaps they think that is not going to be the #1 rank boxer in their division will have the first crack at the champion, maybe someone lower like in the 5-6 ranks and that fits Ancajas.

To early for this champions to have unification fight though, yeah it's mostly the trend, but maybe organizations wanted their champions to defend their belts first before they allow the other champions of the other divisions. Not saying that they are not corrupt, but I think for me, it's better to defend it first within their body and see how strong their champions are.

Takuma Inoue just won his belt and so far there is no mandatory from the WBA to force him to fight the number 1 ranked. So this is just a voluntary defense of Takuma's belt. I am not sure about the WBA's voluntary defense ruling but most likely it's fine for a champion to defend his belt for as long as the opponent is in the top 10 or maybe top 20 depending on the organization. Maybe Ancajas is the only available fighter easy to negotiate and is willing to travel to Japan.

Correct mate, it seems that WBA is not forcing Inoue to fight his mandatory (if there is, but I will assume that there is none), and so he is allowed to have a voluntary defense in their top 15 rank.

Ancajas was also dominated twice in his last title fights. But Ancajas was a long-time champion and had issues with his weight before moving up so it was probably taken into consideration by the sanctioning bodies. Jerwin Ancajas' last opponent and only fight at the division lost his last 7 fights and only won a single fight in his last 10 but it was enough for the former champion to enter the top 10 in the WBA and IBF rankings.

That is really the big issue with Jerwin when he lost the belt the first time, not sure though why they insists on a rematch since he can no longer make the weight class and obviously his body is getting bigger.
954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: August 30, 2023, 08:52:45 PM
I like it when the media dubbed as the "The Mount Rushmore of upsets". That is, if Ngannou wins this fight specially by a one punch knockout. Yeah, I do agree that Francis could hit harder than Fury or even Wilder, so we will see if Fury jaw can hold up as he was knock down by Wilder in their first fight but was able to get back from the canvass.

But as Francis says, “Everybody is beatable,”  Smiley
955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: August 29, 2023, 10:25:20 PM
I am not sure what happened that warranted Casimero being stripped of his WBO world bantamweight title in 2022. He supposedly violated some British BS ban on sauna use for reducing weight?

Yes, he was caught trying to lose additional pounds thru sauna during the fight week, which is forbidden by the BBBoC. And with that he was stripped of his WBO bantamweight belt.

This is the first time I have heard of such nonsense and to be honest, I think it was very unfair. I hope to see him becoming a world champion in spite of this. Oguni is going to be an obviously tough opponent and if Casimero loses this fight it will be a huge setback to him. He almost lost to Ryo Akaho but was saved by an overturned decision, which was very lucky. I do not expect him to be just as lucky this time, should he lose.

Harsh as it may, he needs to follow the rules and obviously, members of his team didn't know that. And what makes it worst is that he was caught thru his Youtube channel. the Ryo fight was controversial, but this fight should be a make or break for him. As others have stated, tune up fight for him and so this should be an easy victory for John Riel.
956  Local / Pamilihan / Re: GILAS PILIPINAS UPDATE ON FIBA WORLD CUP! on: August 29, 2023, 09:46:23 PM

957  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: P2P Scams : Where does the government stand on: August 27, 2023, 12:18:11 PM

Maybe the scammer can go and put it in a bank if that is your point. Unfortunately, there are ways that people can create bank accounts using false identification. So they can get away from it even if you as a victim report it to the authority.
I will write you an example of how scammers work in Russia for the free issuance of bank cards.

In popular job search resources, there are vacancies for sellers, laborers, loaders with a very high salary. These ads are written for not the most legally literate people.
After the call, the candidate is invited to the office with a mandatory package of documents: passport, Taxpayer Identification Numbers, personal account number in the pension insurance system. And there is nothing suspicious here, this is a standard package of documents when applying for a job. The candidate signs the questionnaire, the application and the power of attorney for the company to make the employee a salary account in the bank. And here, too, there is nothing suspicious and illegal.

But no one will be hired, scammers use this data to issue bank cards for illegal exchange transactions. And then many times they will sell the personal data of the victims.

Yes, same here and that is exactly my point mate. This criminals will go to this lengths to get all the information and this are going to be used and will be at their disposal whenever they created accounts in exchange, maybe hire someone as well to take selfies and that's it.

That's why even here in the Philippines, there are a lot of P2P scams attempts already and for sure there are a lot of victims. But governments and police can't do anything about it even if you get all the information from exchanges because they are all false.
958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oleksandr Usyk VS Daniel Dubois For The Undisputed heavyweight champion on: August 27, 2023, 12:01:08 PM
Dubois's punch in the 5th round has become very controversial some say that it is an illegal punch or a low blow but the majority of boxers, and expert trainers think it's a legal punch and there was a robbery.

CHAMPIONS React to Oleksandr Usyk LOW BLOW or Clean BodyShot K.O. & Referee ROBBING Daniel Dubois

The referee of this match is Luis Pabon https://boxrec.com/en/referee/401173 who happens to be a referee of 548 bouts if there is a rematch ordered by the boxing organizations then we can conclude that it's a legal punch that needs to be corrected but if there is an order from the boxing organizations then everybody can move forward.

For the record, it was not Usyk's fault it was the referee's judgment if the punch was deemed legal by the experts.

I just wonder if there will be a protest if the referee rules it as a legal punch and because of this Usyk lost all his titles There could be pandemonium in the venue.

In the post fight interview, Dubois is calling for a rematch. I think that is the best thing he can do right now, but not sure if there is such one in their contract. But in any case if he doesn't and Usyk says no to a rematch, then he can't do anything.

On the other hard, IBF already mandated a fight with Filip Hrgovic as Usyk's mandatory. So let's see what will be the next move of Usyk as it is been speculated that he will fight Tyson Fury next for unification at HW.

And the blame here should be with referee Luis Pabon. Because as per Usyk, there is no controversy whatsoever, he won by knockout in his mind.
959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 27, 2023, 11:47:01 AM
That might be the reason why it was rumored that the Warriors are thinking of acquiring Blake Griffin, as a substitute for Draymond as his experience is going to add some extra flavor on their defense and that's it. They already have enough firepower and so he's not really that needed to play as much as 10 minutes per game because the other players in the roster can also do that, if not, much greater than him as he is not the same Griffin anymore.
His contract with the Boston Celtics has expired because Blake Griffin only had a one-year contract last season and with the free agent status he now has that can make it easier for the Warriors to sign a contract with him, he is currently also a good and can be relied on by the Warriors despite only going to play for one season.
At his young age Blake Griffin had become a great star player and was recognized by the entire NBA team and over time he experienced injuries and decreased playing performance but he was still very enthusiastic when he last played with the Boston Celtics and you can say that at his age now Blake Griffin is still being one of the players that the Warriors are interested in as their complement and Blake Griffin can still play in a few minutes with his best performance.

But if you look at it, Warriors had like Draymond Green, Looney and their recent addition in Saric to play the big center position. Only Looney though plays that spot and so if they wanted to have another center, Blake might not be a good fit even if he will be sign for a one-year contract.

Warriors should get a real center, 7'0 just like what they had in the past in their championship team to make it a complete roster. If I'm not mistaken, there are still a lot of good centers around that they can choose from, not a wash up player like Blake Griffin (no offense to his fans).
960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Here is a tight slap to bitcoin haters on: August 27, 2023, 11:35:50 AM
I recently found this cool website

https://buybitcoinworldwide.com/bitcoin-is-dead/

It has listed 20 occasions when bitcoin was declared dead by leading publications in the past and every time bitcoin came back stronger.
20 times?

How about this website that says bitcoin has been pronounced dead 474 times.

You are not wrong that people should not believe if bitcoin is pronounced dead again and again as the price plummeted than some people pronouncing it dead are expecting, bitcoin price decrease for people to buy more.

Yes, that website is known to almost all of bitcoiners to that point that we can just completely laugh it off when we read how many times bitcoin has been pronounced dead but unfortunately, it will go back and rise again and recorded another all time high every 4 years.

And since we are fast approaching halving again, for sure this kind of attacks and fuds will be rampant, either by entities that have a reasons behind like they want to buy it cheap again, or those people who just want bitcoin to be destroyed, but that is not happening.
