I can walk down the street with a Sign Saying OBAMA sucks big Elephant cocks in Hell and have nothing done to me.  Could you do the same in other countries such as China?

I think not. I think you will be Executed.

It depends on what you put on the sign. If you put bullshit on the sign, nobody will care.  If you put other things on the sign (wikileaks documents for example) you get blasted right away. This is not different in the US, the boundary is only a little higher.  If our government had the chance, Ed. Snowden would be dead, despite sending information trough American Journalists.

House ownership doesn't guarantee anything. Governments can force you to sell if some capitalist wants to build a train line through your property or develop new property.

But at least in a non-communist society, such occurrences are rare. And another thing is that we can protest against that move. If anyone protested against such a move in the former USSR, he was send to 20 years of hard labor in some Siberian gulag.

They may be rare, but the point is that you are supposed to be the owner.  In the current economic system technically you do not own anything, because you have a trillion dollar debt (enforced by the government, banks etc)

The Communist Chinese government are a pack of insane Rabid dogs with no emotions and a complete lack of respect for human rights with their own people....How do you think they would treat the rest of the world?

Governments do not care about (your) human rights, China is no different. This goes back all the way throughout history, no matter the group.

Does Actor_Tom_Truong ever actually respond to others posts?

I've come to the conclusion that he is a bot funded and developed by infowars.com  Shocked

Well it's statistically more likely than 99% of the content on infowars, right?

 Grin

I had come to this conclusion myself - although I suspect he is a human being. The whole business model of that site is to say ridiculous "shocking" things to get clicks. I remember there was a chap on the BBC once representing infowars, and when the host started to question his absurd assertions, he became aggressive, accused the BBC of covering up for the conspirators, and began shouting INFOWARS.COM over and over again at the top of his voice. You could still hear him after they cut off his microphone.

Doesn't mean the threads aren't hilarious - just be aware that they make money every time you click a link that's posted here.
Agreed. He may be a human, but I've linked 98% of posts to an I toward article.

Has Infowars started their own conspiracy and are using foreign workers paid by the post to make mass threads like this, with no responses? Shocked

He obviously uses a bot to increase his post count  Smiley

The world would be in some serious shit if China had the capabilities the US has. While most of the world doesn't like the US butting into other countries problems can you imagine the scenario if the US said fuck it let them deal with it themselves.  China would be Invading every square inch of the planet if they had even half of what the US has.

China would probably do the same things that the US is doing now  Smiley

1686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it smart to make a Bitcoin Faucet on: May 18, 2014, 10:36:58 PM
Quote
This right here. It's also why faucets pay so little. People could otherwise use services that enter captchas for you and still bot them.

Back in the day faucets didn't have any captchas, and there were bots that would just skip around and keep hitting them for you automatically. Blame the people that exploit like this for why we have the annoyances we do today.

Actually using some clever hacking you could have a bot that fills in the catpcha and presses the button.
However the pay-off to make such a bot is not worth the time, you may be able to automatically get 0.00288 B / month  Smiley

I think this one just wanted his btc back.

I think this one should read more about bitcoin, should use offline wallets instead. To put all money in an online exchange is a risk.. like online banks (recently read about a Cypriot who lost 700.000$ from a bank account ban) Smiley
1688  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much would Bitcoin be by May 31,2014 on: May 18, 2014, 09:52:28 PM
The more days we wait, the closer the estimate. Its very hard to predict the bitcoin price, but I think the range $400-$500 is very reasonable.
1689  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which Bitcoin Exchange do you use and why ? on: May 18, 2014, 09:47:57 PM
I do not use bitcoin exchanges anymore, as I'm not much into trading alt coins for the moment. But I've used btc-e in the past, they allow for quite a lot of trading options, the site is  easy to use for trading. Downside is that they hold money of newbies for say a week, and fees are high (for me  Smiley).

You can lose time for sure, but time =/= money tbh.

It depends per person. For me time is money because I'm always working on something, but if i do nothing i get (a little bit) of btc too  Cheesy
1691  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: when can i change my avatar? on: May 18, 2014, 09:41:40 PM
For now it is not possible to change your avatar. You see the ones with avatar have a higher ranking than me (Full member, Senior member) and I'm here for about 2 or 3 months now. The ones who have an avatar set it about 5 months ago or earlier. The setting is disabled for now  Smiley

1696  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Dr. Michael Moriarty says we should not trust Coinbase... Your thoughts? on: May 18, 2014, 12:42:58 PM

including that we should boycott Coinbase...
The usage of credentials does not make it more creditable. I have credentials as well, and I think several people on this forum. Anyone can scream 'boycott this'.
So lets look at the arguments.

Quote
CoinBase, which has all the markings of another ponzi scheme, since they encourage you to store your coins with them more or less permanently.

They allow to send money to another bitcoin address, whether in coinbase or not :

So this argument does not make sense.

Bitcoin exchanges get hacked constantly, which means user information is vulnerable to hackers.
This is true sometimes, but does not make the site a Ponzi schemes. Many things get hacked, probably his sites too.
Sure, offline wallets are more safe.

Perhaps coinbase is a competitor of one of his sites and he tries to win more customers using his credentials  Smiley

They could make cash from the fluctuations in Bitcoin's price, as opposed to transaction fees. This would force them to create an exchange and act as a wallet. This would not only help PayPal business wise, but it would help the people who are interested in Bitcoin get involved that aren't too sure about about digital currencies. If they don't do it, they'll be out of business from someone that will.

There is not any reason or advantages to use PayPal to store BTC.
PayPal like holding your money in MtGox, you never know if it is there tomorrow  Cheesy
The whole idea of BTC is to control your own money;

Do you think that these caffeine tablets are free from all the artificial flavors and preservatives? I don't think so. For now, I will stick with my cup of coffee, rather than depending upon the caffeine tablets.  Grin

They do not have any artificial flavors. It works better than say a Red Bull of Coke  Smiley

I remember there was an energy drink called 'Erektion'  Cheesy

So in your opinion which drink is safer? Almost all the drinks available in the market contains artificial flavors and preservatives. And in my opinion, a can of energy drink contains much less amount of synthetic chemicals, when compared those present in the same quantity of Coke.

You can buy caffeine tablets from the store in many countries. Mix it in any drink you want  Smiley
