Do you guys think it is possible to make a bot to automatically go around fill in faucets for you?

I want both free coins and not have to work for it as well , yes I am not a good person.

Is this technically possible at all? If it is , how hard is it to do something like this?

Also not %100 relevant but how much do you think it would cost to get a website like landofbitcoin.com? Made from scratch?

yes, this is possible, even if the site has captchas. However, the captchas are not easy to solve so experimental bots would work.
Pay is say 400 satoshi per hour, so 0.00009600 BTC per day. To me, that is not very profitable as I get about 0.0005 BTC per post from Ritz.
You would need to apply the bot to many faucets to make a good profit.

Its only one week from now, given the current market price I think it will be between 510$ and 600$
1543  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Problem with Bitcoin-qt on: May 24, 2014, 11:53:02 AM

I'm a very newbie in Bitcoin world and I'm learning now how to work with it. I have a little problem with Bitcoin-qt:
I have Debian Wheezy. I friend how mine compiled the Bitcoin-qt on my computer (using qmake I think) and everything worked. Then after an update of the system it suddenly stopped to work saying that libboost lib were missing. I installed them and start to work again. Then I restarted the system and... well... Gnome crashed and I couldn't fix it so I had to format the / and reinstall it   Angry
Now I still have the problem of libboost missing, but I don't want to install them manually 'cause I'm afraid that Gnome crashes again and that I'll have to reinstall everything again.
Any suggestion? I found on google a topic where the user fixed the problem cleaning the project and then compiled all over again and it worked, but I'm a noob also in Linux and I couldn't understand how to do it. Can you please help me?  Grin

The compilation is a little tricky, but it can be done. Is libboost on your system? in /var/lib  and type: locate boost
Bitcoin-qt does not depend on gnome (afaik) so this should not be a problem.

Alternatively, you could get a bitcoin-qt binary and run it directly Tongue

Any suggestions..what to do?

i have just published my first widget for webmasters. now you are able to easily integrate the current price info of your favourite cryptocurrency into your website! more infos here: http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/v2/tools/webmasters

any ideas for other webmaster tools?

You could make an option to change the style, let the webmasters adjust the color to fit their website.   Other tools could be a chart widget or a latest bitcointalk posts widget.

Some thumbnails are deformed. The background is very strange, you may want to change it. The navigation is split twice, you want to put the navigation together.

Hello all, I was wondering if I would get denied when I try to verify my account at Bitstamp or Kraken because I'm only 17. And what is the easiest way to buy BTC under 18?

Perhaps one of the Bitcoin ATMs could work out for you.  Another method is to try trading at a bitcoin conference.
Or buying goods with fiat and selling the goods for bitcoin.

Good. The United States went ballistic in the 1960s, when the Soviets moved some missile close to the US - Cuba border. But they have no problem in conducting military exercises near the Russian border. Hypocrites.

1960s is a very long time ago, they have since changed policy. They do military exercise on all borders now (legal and illegal). Despite this I agree with you, its hypocrite.

Thanks for this data. I guess I was wrong and right at the same time. The balance is in favor of Russia, but if I go to an American mall, I won't find any Russian-made product. This country doesn't make any consumer product an American would like. Caviar? Come on, I'm having caviar less than once a year, and I'm living well. Most of mankind doesn't know what caviar is.

Its not entirely true, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Video_games_developed_in_Russia Of course Tetris is a very popular example, but there are others.

The last two countries to try this were Iraq and Libya. Thankfully the American people don't have the stomach to allow our government "bring democracy" to these newest offenders.

The US cannot start war with Russia and China at the same time, its not a strategic decision.

So going by that countries such as Libya and Iraq should have been armed with nuclear weapons, to prevent the Americans from invading them. And we should give nukes to North Korea as well.

North Korea has nukes.  As for Iraq, there was nothing they could have done to stop the US invasion simply because their technology was years behind

1555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the chances BTC is replaced by something better soon? on: May 24, 2014, 09:48:25 AM

"Soon" would be in the next 1-3 years or so.

One of the biggest dangers for BTC is something more useful coming along and investors switching - a process which could happen extremely fast, once started.

So to all the tech savy people in here - what advantages could other cryptocurrencies bring that will give them a crucial edge over BTC, and how fast could something like that come along?

3 years is a very short time.  Currently all alt coins together have only a 10% marketshare as compared to bitcoin, of which litecoin has a huge share, so I dont think anywhere in the first 6 months. Btw, something "new" or "better" does not always replace the market.. there are platforms like Diaspora but people still use Facebook. From the developer list I know that bitcoin will be around at least 5 years more  Smiley

Have you tried to buy btc with credit card? Do you have any feedback? Advice?

I have heard this works, but the time to buy is a little slow (due to bank delay), you'd have to wait about ~ 1 day to get your btc.  Be sure you have a site you can trust.
