742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be use by future Mars Inhabitants? on: August 13, 2014, 11:34:06 AM
Some day in the future we will have human settlements in Mars can they use bitcoin?

Earth-Mars transactions would currently not be so fast. The distance to mars is about 1.5 lightyears, If I am not mistaken. Faster than light is necessary for crypto to work on such an enormous scale - nobody wants to wait about 2 years for a transaction.

On Mars itself - of course. But to mix the economies into a space economy, faster than light is necessary. For now, moon-earth crypto is about the largest we can do.
743  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exchanges on: August 13, 2014, 11:22:29 AM
Hi, can someone tell me about exchanges of crypto currency (btc+altcoins)?  Huh

All of them are reachable online. You can deposit BTC or alt coins, and exchange them using a fee. You can usually exchange BTC, LTC, PPC, USD and some others. They have different levels of security, some have two factor authentication. Sometimes an account gets hacked, so security is very important.
744  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat banking in Portugal worsens on: August 13, 2014, 11:03:05 AM
Financial crisis can be good fuel for Bitcoin to rally.

I think we'll see a boost in Bitcoin price in these coming years. I don't expect the EU citizens wants their properties taken away by the government
745  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoin wallet fee on: August 13, 2014, 10:50:32 AM
You can change the fees in some clients.  0.005 BTC is very high fee, 0.0001 fee is normal.. something is wrong with the wallet configuration I think
746  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I Earn 0.00002970 Bitcoin For One Hour on: August 13, 2014, 10:46:54 AM
Try Primedice's happy hours, 10k satoshis every minute, but you can't withdraw below 50k satoshis and can't claim if your balance is 10k or less, so you will need to gamble.

Last time I managed to get 1 mBTC in less than 20 min.

And the happy hours are announced only on facebook.
I want to try. Do you need to have a facebook account to be part of happy hour?
747  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin related domain names market flooded on: August 12, 2014, 10:08:08 PM
I would like to point out how many bitcoin related domains are going up for sale or auction every day in the market section of this forum, and how nearly all of them are not selling at all, with no replies at all!

I wonder if these domains that everyone has rushed to register are actually worth anything because of the amount of them up for sale?
It depends on the future.. in the early days of internet some guy register sex.com ... now it's worth a lot. At the time of buying, he would have sold maybe at a very low price.. so only time will tell in this case. All it needs is one buyer willing to buy it  Smiley
748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is future of litecoin? on: August 12, 2014, 10:03:31 PM
This entire thread is a huge buy signal to me. There truly is blood on the streets now.

Litecoin is exactly where bitcoin was 2 years ago.  Its value for buyers is exceeding the cost to make coins.  As diff goes up, the costs to make coins go up.  Excellent value proposition.  I have significant buy orders at 4 and I hope it drops to there.  I've got a small position at 5 as I think it will certainly go down there.  It looks like prices are currently stable but if Bitcoin takes a small tumble, Litecoin will fall to 5 or lower and I doubt it will stay there that long.  In 6 months, Litecoin's prices will have recovered greatly and I'll have doubled or tripled (or more).  Can't really do that with Bitcoin when BTC is at 550.

Either this situation, or dropped even lower. I think it's a good opportunity to buy, as the risk to lose is very low if you have only one  Smiley .. but I think first BTC will go up, then LTC will follow. It seemed like that in the past
749  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why did BTC drop to $570 level? on: August 12, 2014, 09:52:55 PM
On the short term scale it looks like a drop, but if you consider April 2014 it was 405$ its been rising. I think it's part of how nature influences the price, in long term it will probably go up again. Bump in April 2015  Wink
750  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any Legit Sites To Earn Free Bitcoins on: August 12, 2014, 09:22:15 PM
Hi friends iam new to this bitcoin world iam attracted to it because as all know.... Grin Please give me the legit list of sites were we can earn free bitcoins i have heard landofbitcoin is legit....?

Hey and welcome to the forum!!! You can earn a few Bitcoins by using a faucet. They give you BTC for clicking on advertisements or solving Captchas. But they don't give you a lot. You can just play around with those BTCs. If you want more BTC the best way would be to get a small job and earn some money and buy some BTC on an exchange, man!

A few bitcoins? You must have forgotten to type "milli" before "bitcoins" lol. Tongue
With faucets, you can probably just get a 0.1 mbtc a day and so I don't think you can actually get a few bitcoin. Smiley

Yes, if you get say 0.001 BTC per day, it would still take 1000 days (about 3 years) to get 1 BTC. That would be if price doesn't go up. Anyway, it's more than nothing. Most faucets payless than that however. Wink
751  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ~~~ Homeless Veterans ~~~ on: August 12, 2014, 08:07:13 PM
You don't really have to listen to the song but the on screen lyrics speaks alot with how our society and government works.
I think homeless veterans in our country shows some harsh reality.. when nobody can use your skills, you can get in such situation. It's rather shameful, you think you do something good for your country, but in the end the country doesn't care.
752  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Banning gay men from giving blood is stupid on: August 12, 2014, 08:05:09 PM
I mean, come on, "Are a man who has had sex with another man since 1977, even once"

Really?  I mean, I know my blood is clean.  As opposed to every straight friend I have, I get my blood tested for disease, every few months.  As does my magnanimous partner.

Actually, the ban is not at all, stupid as the risk of STDs especially Aids is much higher in gay community, you also to not that the blood test are not 100% http://std.about.com/od/herpes/f/herpesaccurate.htm the accuracy range from 92% to 99% depending on the test, and that is huge if you consider the numbers we are talking about in blood donations and risk % blood donation from gay community can be a concern
I think he has a point.. it's not about sexual preference but health. Where are you from? The post was rather short
753  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: High Paying Bitcoin Affiliate Program For Bitcoin Webmasters - BitcoinPRBuzz.com on: August 12, 2014, 07:36:04 PM

754  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Grow BTC Without take a BIG RISK ? on: August 12, 2014, 07:28:20 PM

So, I have a serious question. How can I increase my BTC without BIG risk?
I just know with.

- Extremely high volatility Speculation Trading ( High Risk -- High Reward )
- Gambling ( High Risk - High Reward - Experience and factor luck ONLY)
- Providing a service like in cex.io ? ( the price its joke ) , Service Contract for 5 years ? ( not interested . i have personal reason )
- High volatility Speculation Trading ( middle risk --- middle reward -- )

Gambling can be profitable, if you have a very good strategy. You can even have very little risk, if you do it right.

- Start a business
- Help other business in some way

755  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I Earn 0.00002970 Bitcoin For One Hour on: August 12, 2014, 07:02:04 PM
What faucet is faster than it? I need other faucets to earn more coin.

I think if you do all faucets at the same time, you may earn that. A faucet rotator or something like that
756  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Washington Post: Obama vacations as the world burns on: August 12, 2014, 06:49:25 PM
I think saying the world burns is a bit of an exageration. The media always play up stuff like this. Yes, there's a lot of fucked up shit going on, but there is every other day of the year. Not like he would do much about it just sat in the Whitehouse anyway.

It depends in which country you are at - most of the people on this forum are in a peaceful country at the computer I think. Even politicians need a holiday sometimes - and behind the scenes, the secret service controls the country anyway.
757  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 17000 sign up to lawsuit against Facebook for supporting NSA spying on: August 12, 2014, 12:34:01 AM
Just stop using Facebook. Lips sealed
The solution is not that easy. Even if you do not use facebook, facebook keeps track of you using the 'like' buttons on other sites. There are many of those 'like' or 'share' buttons all over the web. You have to block the entire domains they own to prevent them spying on you.
I think this is illegal actually: as you didn't register or accept facebook terms of service they also track you.

Hi I have a fully installed bitcoin script. Everything works except that when a user goes to deposit bitcoins, they don't get a balence. It just goes straight to me.

Is the deposit visible on blockchain.info ? You can type the address of the wallet.
Also check the source code, what deposit address is set? maybe its sending to the developer of the script. Is the script using bitcoind?
