2041  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia to make bitcoin a currency on: February 12, 2022, 04:26:44 PM
Quote
Kommersant noted that Bitcoin (BTC) transactions and possession of cryptocurrency in the Russian Federation are not prohibited; however, they must be done through a “digital currency exchange organizer” (a bank) or a peer-to-peer exchange licensed in the country.

The report also highlights that cryptocurrency transactions of more than 600,000 rubles (roughly $8,000) would have to be declared; otherwise, it could be considered a criminal act. Those who illegally accept cryptocurrencies as payment will incur fines.

I don’t see anything more than regulation of the crypto currencies. I mean this is what rest of the world is doing anyways. I don’t know why are they giving it name of making it official currency, lolz. In economical way, they are clearly mentioning when you have to declare the possession of crypto which seems to be reasonable. Way good than banning the crypto. For average spending, 600,000 ruble is huge for there peeps.

Also, it’s funny; they mentioning in article that it’s mandatory to use digital currency and p2p only. Dam, Please let me know what other ways are there to buy and sell crypto. Cheesy
2042  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Giving Bitcoin to Employees on: February 11, 2022, 05:02:56 PM
I dont see any sort of challenge here? I mean you can simply process the payment through the reputed wallets available through out the crypto space. It's their choice which wallet to use for their personal use. All you will need is their bitcoin address and way to track that you have paid them. In general manner you can simply take the Transaction Hash which is gonna be there forever on the blockchain as proof of work. So you can simply send them email with the same thus making it digital and paperless process.

I think you don't need any high end services to trace them. That is the beauty of crypto space. Everything is open and it is publicly announced. The data integrity is gonna last there as long as we have miners and internet.  Tongue
2043  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Part II - [GUIDE - Personal Experience] How to get started with Mining Continued on: February 11, 2022, 04:12:18 PM
After the burn down of my rig hall, the rigs are settled properly one more time.

With the current rate of mining and also increased difficulty getting payouts of 200 RVN every couple of days now. This has led me to accumulate the RVN amount of 36307.8318 at the time of writing this post.

Total Payment cycles by #Nanopool : 352

1 year High $ 0.2854 per RVN
1 year Lowest $ 0.04 per RVN

Current rate: $ 0.07 per RVN and my assets from these mining rig is $ 2,541

I am not planning to sell them anyways. I will await the highest rate to be achieved one more time. So if get an opportunity to sell at $ 0.2854 then that would be around $ 10,362
2044  Economy / Economics / Re: Impact of Bitfinex hack on the economy on: February 11, 2022, 03:33:28 PM
[...]
As am against any unlawful act as such in Bitfinex hack, my question is that, what can we say about government impact on regulating crypto as in the case of Bitfinex.
[...]

Definitely this has made a worst impression on them and we should not care about it much since fiat is more hampered as compared to the bitcoin. I mean on any given time period there are cases of bank looting, with shooting around, peeps getting hurt, sometimes cross firing death tolls etc. I mean, if we compare it in that sense then definitely bitcoin is far safer and also Bitfinex Hack won't matter much. Most of the money is now recovered in both circulation liquidity and actual coins which were lost and found.

Government is regulating the fiat, but it does not mean that they are able to stop the robberies all the time.

Moreover, its better than drugs and alcohol. Crypto is at least clean without any impact on economy as such.
2045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if crypto mining is outlawed ? on: February 11, 2022, 03:11:04 PM
This changes nothing. It will just re-direct the whole power to the countries where mining is still strong enough and legal. For example, imagine El Salvador where bitcoin is considered as legal tender, it will get the upper hand and thus gain the whole and sole power to mine the crypto. Stopping the crypto mining won't stop the use of the crypto currencies in any country as it is online, and it can not be practically banned or stopped from using.

So left over mining power and followed by it's reward, will be given to El Salvador (example). Imagine they have will have huge amount of assets in their hands.

If other countries do this, then they will be dropping the axe on their own legs!

I like the idea and will pitch it to the owner and see his thoughts. I know there is a sig campaign coming in the next week and a blast competition as well everyone should look out for.

For those who are in the series the new game is up. Everyone is still welcome to join us, still plenty of time to get points.

Ahhh, that is amazing. After all the owners are reading us. I am very happy to see that we are going to have blast competition in the coming week. I know from the past experiences that there are some really good and patient players who will go off the roof to catch highest multiplier. I am as excited as I wanted to have this game on the competition list. Poker is anyways going good for the players, they are enjoying the beer at last every weekend.  Cheesy
More than excited to see the new developments in the betnomi promotions.
2047  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A few key points distinguishing traders from gamblers on: February 10, 2022, 07:46:56 PM
Thats fairly good comparison. Though it is not needed as everyone has their own style of playing as trader and gambler. But its worth understanding what trader is capable of that is not the part of Gambler and Vice Versa!

A person might be involved in both the activities and thus could be strong enough in handling his ethics while gambling the money in casino. There are smart peeps who play wisely and just like trader and thus make ton of money.

However, on an average most of us are differentiated as per your comparative table. The reason: we are not able to strongly control our motions while being trader or gambler.

Sometime they do call Trader job as dirty-white collar while gambler is just gambler as the name suggest.  Tongue
2048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the market to buy the safest NFT? on: February 10, 2022, 07:16:46 PM
As stated above Opensea market is really good.

I can vouch for it because I have myself listed my pencil arts in the OepnSea market. The features which makes it great to choose OpenSea are its user friendly model. Being non techy I have always tried to go beyond limits and test out stuff. So I’m sure if guy like me was able to understand setting up the OpenSea with MetaMask linking and bidding set up process then others can easily do so.

- High security
- Need to sign message before you could log in to account
- High end market with unlimited buyers and seller.
- Easy to grasp interface.
2049  Economy / Economics / Re: How will Bitcoin behave in the approaching crisis? on: February 10, 2022, 06:44:15 PM
There are numerous angles to this matter here. Thing is when peeps are looking at such economic crisis they are thinking about only few countries in the world and mostly focus on USA and how their federal reserves are acting upon it. The thing is on the other side there are counties whose GDP is ever going green and they are blooming despite the pandemic. Some Asian countries are becoming the biggest exporter of medical and emergency care thus gaining lead in the market.

The stocks and shares will drop for those companies which are least priority while tackling the financial burdens on any country. However, for healthcare and pharma research institute shares are up and up!!

This is why I opened up the conversation with numerous angle phrase.

It may happen we just save ourselves from economic crisis before the bubble breaks. Worlds resetting as the pandemic will kee diluting with the time.
2050  Economy / Economics / Re: Perfect solution to keep markets alive and pump going on repo idea on: February 10, 2022, 03:01:25 PM
I am pretty sure this is not the way things work here. You can’t go around and change the national currency system to another countries central banking system. FED can not stop doing what they are doing because the day they will stop they will put the national reserve at risk.

Markets do not run the nationals reserves tbh. The whole market money is driven by the fact that how nation is working inside out. In terms of jobs, business, import and export trades and money flow system.

So yeah, this needs to be framed in better ways.
2051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it involve risk connect metamask to opensea? on: February 09, 2022, 06:39:05 PM
As far as I know, not necessarily when solely connecting MetaMask to a platform. In the end it will still mostly depend if you know which wallet transactions you're actually approving yourself.

Correct. When opening the account with OpenSea, you will have bunch of options to login with. There will different wallets to choose from so you can have the preferred one which you think is suitable to you or you use regularly.

Lets take an example of MetaMask. This is usually in your chrome browsers extension so very handy to use. Whenever you will link your OpenSea account with the MetaMask then you will have to sign the message which you initially used. Generally this process takes place automatically if your wallet is logged in and account is linked to the proper chain.

If everything is fine then you will be taken in. There is no possible way anyone can hack your account before hacking your keys, passwords to the MetaMask.
2052  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Non-KYC Methods for converting fiat -> Bitcoin? on: February 09, 2022, 05:59:38 PM
Well that's tricky. It seems we have only limited options as mentioned in the OP. If you would have asked for converting the bitcoin to fiat with non-kyc then there are bunch of ways for the same. I mean, one could simple convert the bitcoin to amazon vouchers, then based on that get gold bars or gold coins from amazon and once received just sell it to the gold smith. This is amazing way to do in India. Since in India peeps are fan of Gold due to traditional value anyone can easily buy it from you. Thus easily converting the bitcoins to real asset.

May be this option can be used in reverse way to buy the bitcoins I guess.  Tongue
Using the Gold, selling it to the crypto-come-gold lover and then buying the crypto with the same.

Since many countries are not blessed with the bitcoin ATM, we do need alternative ways to do it.
2053  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Inflation is a big problem for a country? on: February 09, 2022, 05:16:26 PM
We all know that Inflation in the US economy is at an alarming rate. Not the only USA, but Inflation is also a big problem for many countries globally, and it seems there is no way to stop it. Is it impossible to stop inflation in fiat currency or govt don't want to take any action it stop it? Do you think people can do anything to stop inflation in their economy or its inevitable?

Government always does what they can do to reduce the inflation all the time. Thing is they always have to clear many things around the circle of national scope. We can not really blame they as to why are they not working on it; actually they are working but they have to face big deals of nation and its emergencies. Since they dont have single thing to do they would be exploring many many ways.

Inflation surely can be stopped but it takes outstanding planning. The root cause of the inflation needs to be identified first and then major steps start to pull off. For example, in the current situation USA failed in pandemic. The health care systems and strict rules of COVID protection made the situation worst throughout the nation. This led to poor employment circle, reduced job quality and thus money flow stopped.

Heavy stimulus packages were distributed on various instances and this made the central banks to print more money. So free money was getting paid out and thus inflation started coming out.

US need, big fix on businesses, employment and health care systems. Unless and until they do not come online, its gonna be another bad day for them.
2054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin thief on Bitfinex exchange caught? on: February 09, 2022, 04:20:40 PM
FBI won’t return it to anyone because for them there is no rightful owner in illegal cases. They will only release it when they confirm the identity theft but that too on the court orders. So the owner in this case Bitfinex will have to fight the case for their clients; whose bitcoins or any assets that were lost in the hack.

Moreover, it’s not only about coins but also data integrity issue. So I’m not sure how they will bend the case really. But Bitfinex is the victim who should plead for the recovery of coins from FBI.
2055  Economy / Economics / Re: European oil facilities hit by cyber-attacks on: February 08, 2022, 06:21:03 PM
If we ignore the conclusion thats being quoted I am very confused as to why they would go and hack the Oil company server. Its nothing like a movie of White House down where they go rogue and try to burst the oil pipe lines throughout the cities by just hacking the whole server. Thats a scifi stuff and nothing like that can really happen in the real world.

The only reason here is to manipulate the stock world through this act. Spread the FUD around the globe and fear does the rest with hearts of investors. Its obviously managed stuff.

- considering how Russia is keen to attack Ukraine and at the same time they will halt their oil supplies to Europe in case Ukraine joins NATO, doesn't this all seem a bit too suspicious?

- Can Russian attackers be behind the cyber attacks since most of the countries around Russia depend on them and they might be trying to create an oil and gas shortage that can only be fulfilled by Russia so they decline to help in the sanctions.

The timing seems far too convincing for all of this to be happening. This must be a collaboration with China as well which is trying to stop the NATO from expanding.

Political views can be plotted for this but I am not sure if this is worth correlating with russia and chian at this point. To gain the access over remote connections and that too by pass the whole firewall set up for the corporate firm, this is more or less insider job.

Believe it or not, I was folding such hands in the past Series when in the points' bubble, that's how much I valued(and still value) points.

I just registered, and there are 9 of us there right now, and I'm pretty sure we'll have around 20 tomorrow, but, of course, 30-40 would be better.
[...]

Can someone explain to me why this thread is only about poker? I don't think that's the intention. There was already a separate topic for Poker. I am more curious about the new site, the old site was very user-friendly in my opinion and now there is a completely different layout. That takes some getting used to for many users and is not practical.

ya.ya.yo!

I am fine with the poker discussion here, however I am looking forward to have an announcement from @betnomi regarding newer challenges regarding the Games and Rounds apart from the poker. Definitely they are die hard fan of the poker and many of us enjoying it a lot these days, but we do need newer challenges in this year. Poker is running since long now.

[...]
49k X is quite high and my guess the player spins hundreds or maybe even thousands to finally be able to get that as well as the luck factor he had back then.
Slot fans will certainly be happy to enter the contest because it has the opportunity to get double prizes from winning in slots and contests if get a high multiplier, especially if Betnomi also provides attractive prizes.

If you look closely on the Crash game panel then you will see on daily basis these kinda multiplier are there. Its really huge and if we got into competition then I am sure everyone will try to go ahead of thousands. Seems impossible but its worth doing it if you are into competition. You both win the multiplier and prize money in that race. Dual benefit!

This could be similar in structure as Poker game. For example, weekly point collection and giving away prizes to the top 10 or something. Since this is easy to play game, enrolments might come along very easily. Not sure what is the possibility of happening this but Im sure it would be famous.
2057  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆 Betnomi.com - Crypto Centric 🏀Sportsbook and 🎲Casino - 🔥Biggest Jackpots on: February 06, 2022, 06:20:47 PM
It’s good to see poker enthusiasts here. Since couple of years I am seeing poker series going on and doing very well to gather like minded peeps.
However, I was just thinking what if betnomi also starts competition with other games? For example, Crash game which I believe the oldest and famous on betnomi since long.

I was part of crash game testing when they launched it and gave free money to test it out.

I am thinking there should be contest for the Crash game too?

Like who goes at highest multiplier etc. Any thoughts on this guys?

I can't just imagine the multiplier that keeps coming as high as this one which I saw today on Betnomi. @yahoo, just imagine if we really put up some sort of contest associated this one then we can really have bigger bulls coming on this one.

This is just insane to see that, there was multipler as high as X49,151. I mean come on, how much time it would have taken to go that far. Even if you put $1, its starigh away 49K% profit right there. It would be out of imagination to see if players start getting these in the Games and Rounds.

I am bringing this up again because most of the gamblers here seen different casino's offering the same in Games and Rounds section. Anyone is having similar thoughts regarding the multiplier contest other than famous Poker ?   Tongue Tongue

2058  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it just me or people are out of liquidity ( money ) ? on: February 06, 2022, 05:33:35 PM
Depends on country, their situation, job status, and economic budget of the nation.

Usually liquidity is product of all the above things. If the nation is running properly, peeps have jobs and businesses are flourish then economic flow is alway healthy. This means everyone keeps getting money and they keep it spending. The circle goes on. Savings are created, assets are made and interests are flown here and there. Everything makes it greener and the liquidity stays proper.

If in your country things are not ok, then its not peeps, its the poor management that might be affecting it. Could be seeding of inflation. Idk, you have spared too tiny info to understand the exact situation there.
2059  Economy / Economics / Re: What If? on: February 06, 2022, 05:22:14 PM
Inflation is largely the concern, USD won't take a hit because Russia decides to tank their economy further with a pointless war. Only reason for a spiral would be if the situation in Ukraine escalates beyond just the two countries, forcing the U.S. to get involved.

I do not think Ukraine is that important to escalate a world war. There is not much Russian interest there except Ukraine from joining NATO. Nobody wants to have a hostile neighbor. It will be wise for Ukraine to be a buffer state if he doesn't want to be the meat in the sandwich. Putin just showing off his power to the Russian nationalist because he doesn't have any gains to show his people. This tension to become a world war is near to zero.
I agree that the chances of this becoming a world war are very low but it could easily become a proxy war, and if there is something the US does not need right now is a proxy war, after all wars are very costly endeavors and the US does not have the money to spare to engage in one, and even if we know they can print as much money as they want, it is not really a good idea to do so now that inflation is so high and it will go way higher if they did something like that.

Correct, USA on the other hand is already getting inflationary stages all over again and it could be bad if they go into some sort of war here. Loosing those billions on import export could turn the USA upside down. Believe me, USA will never go into stuff like this. With the pandemic and less seriousness of peeps in USA, the spread of disease is rogue and they would not be able to handle the medical system if this continued for more time further.

It would be like throwing oil into the fire at this stage and USA would burn inside out.

I hope that Pentagon does have these sort of soft hearted thinking, otherwise "common peeps" will face the consequences for the same.
2060  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The market is confusing on: February 06, 2022, 04:29:32 PM
We are not going in continuous market bearish trend here, its the way this market works mate. I don't know, but let us understand that this market is getting driven by the center of investment which is uncertain. The market is free, anyone can withdraw enormous amount, move huge pot of bitcoins somewhere, get involved into different manipulation strategies etc. The market is not simple because we make it look like difficult.

Its volatile because of its decentralised nature, partial control etc. The market sometimes is more prone to "Fundamental analysis" rather than technical trendy line etc.

You might wanna study the cyclic changes of bitcoin and you will understand long deserting bearish trends are very normal in the crypto currency space.
