2061  Economy / Economics / Re: Fed and other central banks rate and taking away repo markets volatility on: February 06, 2022, 02:35:01 PM
I think the word he is looking for is liquidity. The more liquidity we have the more easer it gets to sell and re-buy stuff around the crypto market. Volatility is entirely different thing. It is aspect ratio of how much volume is being injected and pulled out of the market at any given time. For crypto when we say it is highly volatile that means there is simply no limit on how much coins are being bought and sold! Due to this it creates huge marginal differences all the time.
This difference is created because there is "direct" control on money influx. Believe me the OP is all about liquidity rather than volatility.

Plus, central bank has nothing to do with this. Its sum of many things and not just one bank printing the money for nation.
2062  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin from the economic perspective on: February 06, 2022, 07:23:18 AM
Though it is beneficial we can not have easy implementing of the bitcoin throughout the world. I mean crypto currencies are viruses which are spreading at alarming rates but they are also taking away huge amount of financing chunk from the Governments pocket. This is causing some sort of ecosystem safe fail as the money is being withdrawn to the cold wallets. The money is standing there for long now and thus no bank transactions for that amount and thus no tax payments.

Unless and until government do not figure out the middle way to work on this we can not be sure if this will ever be official part of our daily lives.
2063  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance CEO Warns Users About Phishing Scam on: February 06, 2022, 04:54:54 AM
Exchanger = Not your keys, not your custody on the coins.

While on the other hand, if its your own keys then its your own custody and coins. Remember that, at any point if you send the coins to an exchanger then its gonna be stored on their online servers, they can be breached, and you could loose everythig.

As far as I know Binance do try their best to keep the safeguard of their exchanger. However, it is still not our custody that is the main point.

Simply have the coins in your Wallet. May be a on an unused device or buy hardware wallets. Best!
2064  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: February 05, 2022, 05:44:48 PM

I agree. NFTs are just a gimmick which is still receiving attention unexpectedly for a long time now and I don't think Roobet should venture into that market since it's quite risky for both them and the artists themselves.

Most NFTs go unsold and the ones that do get sold are usually created by popular artists from around the world. Roobet should stick to the traditional payment model in my opinion.

I have the same opinion. I don't understand the hype for the NFT's at all. On the other hand, from a business standpoint, it would make sense if Roobet also starts with this as it super popular right now and it would be smart to just ride that wave also and create some extra profit.

The change is always needed in the crypto. Roobet must go ahead with this NFT stuff and bring more fun into the casino. I think they would be the first one to do so since there is no other casino out there who is thinking about innovative ideas like this.

Imagine getting special NFT from Roobet for XYZ wagering amount or may be for playing this game or that game. Such kinds of competition can be injected into the system.

This will not only bring more players in the casino but it will do add more fun to it.

2065  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆 Betnomi.com - Crypto Centric 🏀Sportsbook and 🎲Casino - 🔥Biggest Jackpots on: February 05, 2022, 04:04:15 PM
It’s good to see poker enthusiasts here. Since couple of years I am seeing poker series going on and doing very well to gather like minded peeps.
However, I was just thinking what if betnomi also starts competition with other games? For example, Crash game which I believe the oldest and famous on betnomi since long.

I was part of crash game testing when they launched it and gave free money to test it out.

I am thinking there should be contest for the Crash game too?

Like who goes at highest multiplier etc. Any thoughts on this guys?
2066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Son of elon on: February 05, 2022, 02:56:45 PM
Seriously peeps would go any level to scam the investors. Very straight and pretty concepts these days to lure peeps into the dark side of crypto. I mean just stick the name of famous personality and state that it belongs to them and there, you see huge amount of money flooding in.

Mostly investors would go into it just out of passion or may be in the hope to earn some quick profits. They don’t just think before investing.

So this is definitely a red alert and must investigate before putting money into it.
2067  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is available on NO KYC Crypton Exchange on: February 05, 2022, 01:52:59 PM
I would rather prefer a KYCed reputed exchanges than Non KYC but literally new exchange and that's my opinion it may differ from others depends on what value they most.

I think you also need to be transparent like mentioned above, if you are collecting user data then what is the point of marketing it as fully anonymous exchange?

Honestly I have same opinion. I would prefer the sites which are giving more additional security for my account considering I have to do the KYC. Let’s take example of Binance or WazirX. I am using both the exchangers on regular basis but I can’t perform various actions unless I am KYCed. That’s not an issue at all for me because both of them highly secure, trustworthy exchanges. But when it comes to newly formed exchanges I am very cautious because from past experiences and stories exchanges can be hacked. It can take your money as well as your KYC info too.
2068  Economy / Economics / Re: Worried about inflation? In Argentina, it’s a way of life. on: February 05, 2022, 01:22:53 PM
I am wondering how those supermarkets and credit card industries are able to engulf that kind of discounts on every weekend? I understand that super stores May hike the prices a lot than actual and then give discount on the same thus giving out an impression of discounting at high level. But that’s their loss because if they are selling at high cost then they have to pay heavy tax bounty on the same.

A bit complex financial ecosystem they have developed. I’m not sure if they have developed the inflation due to such acts or whether are they creating it so that they can default the system.
2069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin evangelist Michael Saylor says crypto regulations would speed adoption on: February 05, 2022, 11:32:20 AM
Don’t know, I’m little skeptical about it. Many of fellow peeps here saying it’s positive thing to regulate the crypto but I don’t know I’m really against it. This is straight away failing the principle of Mr. Satoshi and his vision of freedom.

If we want the crypto regulated then it would be just another payment system or stock or share market. It won’t benefit us. We can’t risk it with regulations. This will literally push the crypto currencies in the black hole and sucking all the good characteristics of bitcoin.
2070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A little reminder why Bitcoin is necessary on: February 04, 2022, 04:10:44 PM
Boy that’s harsh ToS. I know that when it comes to the financial services these guys will be one step ahead of user because it’s simply financial stuff! The business runs on money so if you gonna be involved in it then it’s all about how they can save more or loot more. Lolz.

However, I’m not surprised that PayPal is doing this. They do take your side if you wanna have refund from any product or service that you use throng them. That much Liberty I have taken many times so no hard feelings.

And yes bitcoin is always gonna be first love.  Grin
2071  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Forex brokers with Bitcoin as funding option on: February 02, 2022, 06:21:07 PM
Mentioned brokers are relatively new, so not really trustable.

SimpleFX and Evolvemarkets offers their service since 2015 so they are more than trustable (you can found their topic on servive board too)

Yeah, the trust issue is gonna be there if we gonna put our money into some else’s pocket and let them give authority to use it. Well, this reminds me of my favourite movie WOLF OF WALL STREET. I don’t know but after watching that particular movie I’m really surprised to see if all brokers are the same or what. After watching that movie I’m sure all the brokers are very much motivated to make money by looting their clients lolz.

Well, it’s just that I hate to trust with the money and third person getting involved into it.

Better go slow and grow your money by yourself.
2072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am I the only one who loves BTC but hates the Metaverse idea and the NFTs? on: February 02, 2022, 05:52:56 PM
Everyone has their opinions. If you will ask any artist whether they like the NFT or not ? Then obviously given the chance to put their artwork online and get paid they will always say yes for it. It’s their wager you know?

Obviously personally we can always put forth our decision to like bitcoin or NFT or metaverse; but things do not work on individual opinion.

For anything to be successful both sides need to be thoughtfully learnt and in this case usability of coins over blockchain and the user himself.

Let’s not forget the waste of money for you became someone daily wage because of NFT.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5382245.0 the password for game 2 has been released. Good luck to all who join this week and again THANK YOU to all who played week 1. Huge success.

This is big marathon. Strong players around. Usually knocking out the beginners in first 3-4 hands. Lolz.  Tongue
I like the way some of them usually go for the wild hands. I can never do that one by going all-in-chips.

Got to be steady. Hope many of them will join soon!
2074  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto in Indian Economy? on: February 01, 2022, 07:49:13 AM
Only 54% of indians have mobile phones and from which only 24% have smart phone. Source Link.

It's almost half of the total population of the country.

 Grin

World Population: 7.9 billion

India's population: 1.38 billion
India's half population: 0.69 billion

Well, even those 24% having smartphone will by pass the total # of smartphone users in the USA alone. Plus I am really doutbful if only 24% of them have smartphone.

Even if we ignore the numbers of smartphone user, then also individuals holding the crypto multiplied by # of assets will always by pass the economic strength in the crypto.

Its not about poverty or richness. Its all about "BULK" size of population in India that is making it number one holder of the crypto currencies.

I barely doubt India is poor country. India's 2020 GDP passed the developed country like Canada and United Kingdom.

The economic growth is enormous considering the set up of giant medical supply chain, tech advancement and Information tech sectors growing at alarming rates.
In fact, India GDP 2022 is predicted to grow from 6.6% to 8.5%+.

Having poor people in the country and being the poor country are completely different sides of coins.
2075  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin White Paper - Now available in 40 Languages on: February 01, 2022, 06:19:39 AM
That is interesting. I hope that this will continue further and everyone will understand it. Just imagine this is being done by mixed communities all around the world to the local languages can make huge difference. I mean not only the national language but also till down to the local languages. This will definitely have major impact on the way they look at it. There are still many peeps who does not understand English.

This could in fact gather many peeps and innovative minds who read and write only in their local languages. Who knows someone might just get spark out of it to learn the bitcoin, and work on it further. Happy to see Bitcoin is breaking the chains of language barrier.
2076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First Europe With Bitcoin Salary on: February 01, 2022, 05:32:52 AM
I think this seeding activity started from the New York city only. As mentioned above Eric Adam is the guy behind exploring the bitcoin world and implementing its roots into new york. He foresees New York as the future Hub for the bitcoin.

Nonetheless this is good news, as it is slowly seeding the bitcoin in rest of the politicians mind. El Salvador is another great example to do so. Since the whole state government in the business of crypto usage so that's just another level of acceptance.

A politician accepting bitcoin can only have two agenda's on their minds: Either they truly want bitcoin to become part of the traditional ecosystem Or else they just want to win the peeps vote through it.  Wink

Quote
Bitcoin (BTC) craze among lawmakers has reached the Belgian parliament now, as Brussels member of parliament Christophe De Beukelaer became the first European politician to convert his salary to Bitcoin.

The Brussels MP’s monthly salary of EUR 5,500 ($6,140.75) will be converted to Bitcoin using the Bit4You crypto trading platform, reported Bruzz. Beukelaer, who represents Humanist Democratic Centre (CDH) party, hopes his move would inspire other politicians in the region to show a similar interest in the nascent tech.

Beukelaer cited the example of New York City Mayor Eric Adams and how American politicians are working to make their native states or cities Bitcoin hubs. He said:

“New York City Mayor Eric Adams has spent three months collecting his Bitcoin salary to make New York the Bitcoin hub. I think it is not too late for Brussels and Belgium to play a leading role in the cryptocurrency industry."

Yes, They have a nice structure. Once, I had played it and finished 1st place. Grin
By this time, We have 17 entrants. Most likely others will come for fun too.

Good to see finalist here from the previous tourney's!
Im sure you might be entering this time and making your challenge to all of us. The poker game is more fun when you have to tight sit on your chair and think hard whether to hold, fold, or give up all.  Tongue

Where can you read about it? I just don't see any mention on the official site.
There might be some updates sooner or later. However, @betnomi we are really excited about the program and real dates of launch.
Last time I asked they said it would one week or so. However it seems there is little delay in it.
They look excited about the program, hopefully they will spare the detailed info soon.
2078  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin payments decline as other cryptocurrencies grow on: January 30, 2022, 07:30:55 PM
Apart from the privacy concerns and reduced transaction based on that fact one can also assume that with the ever changing and volatile market, peeps are not making much moment currently or they might be just securing the funds in stable coin to reduce the further losses. In crypto possibilities are huge. For example, different markets like NFT, Defi are emerging at alarming rate and it’s possibility that investors are converting the bitcoin or buying the NFT for future profits. However, any average investor in the crypto space will always have bitcoins in his pockets and will always convert the profits into bitcoin at the end.
2079  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MicroStrategy positioned #1 BTC holder, Tesla still at #2nd! on: January 30, 2022, 12:52:40 PM
Looking at the figures I realize that MSTR owns more than 0.5% of the total supply. I think Saylor is on its way to buying 1%. And more. If we take into account that many were lost, that is a considerable amount to own by a single institution. If he does well, he will become one of the richest people in the world. It is not that he is now poor, but he will be among the top.

Thats freakishly huge number if you ask me. It may be possibility that they are upto 1% goal but it could be just our imagination and they might be just flooding their wallets with as much bitcoin as they would. Its really amazing to see how this guy is all over the bitcoin now.

The more he posses the more he is threat to us as solo investor. Lolz. I hope that he does not have any intentions like that and it would be bad to think it that way. It might be that he just wanna be that top of world guy with the bitcoin in possession.

Owning more than 0.5% is nothing but frankly speaking the number will surely keep rising along the way. Lets hope it does not reach out 10%. Then that would fearsome for us.
2080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still not satisfied with crypto games on: January 30, 2022, 12:04:57 PM
Getting bored with crypto gaming projects, I'd like to make money out of something fun to play but with crypto games it's really about the money you will make out of the games, I've not seen real good game Devs utilizing the power of blockchain or maybe it's my taste of games that im used to, I just still prefer spending more time on my Xbox than crypto games because it's more fun than crypto games

Then you must be missing out IOI gaming? I played this game for quite long and had some earnings based on the NFT's. The game is based on racing and trade race manager. The winning are calculated based on how powerful Car you have and how powerful is your trade race manager.

It's fun, there are numerous playing at the same time so you dont have to wait for the race. The cool down is simple and race also lasts for a minute or so. You get the result immediately and you are paid out in the IOI tokens.

Most profound thing is you can actually buy the Cars and Drivers as your NFT. So you own them and obviously they will be limited. The prices keep on rasiin gas the demand grows for them.

So definitely checkout that game, it may surprise you.
