Also, Bitmain does not endorse any third party solutions, however, CryptoGlance is a nice status reporting system Yoshi even uses time to time as well as M's Miner.  (Both solution works for any CGMINER API enabled Bitcoin Miners.

Cheers Bitmain! Thanks for making the Antminer so easy to work with.

That's the beauty of APIs Smiley Makes it so easy for systems to talk to each other.

Quick bump on the offchance that anyone found any details related to him? I was scammed for 8btc from him.
1983  Other / Meta / Re: Is GGGGG hacked on: March 18, 2015, 07:42:09 PM
It was, but I restored it to the original owner a while ago.

Is theymos_away really theymos?  This is my first time seeing this account.
Yes.

From this account's profile:
Quote
Admin notes:   This account is controlled by theymos, but it is less secure. Do not do business with this account.
I don't think 'normal' users can create an admin note

BadBear also has an _away account, unsure on its use.
1984  Other / Meta / Re: CanaryInTheMine is further abusing the trust system [Fixed] on: March 18, 2015, 07:30:49 PM
They will to you and anyone that trusts you.

I think they should for anyone who has default trust, but I could be mistaken; I don't have another account to check. Most of them have been neg'd by other people still in default trust like Vod, Tomatocage, Quickseller, etc.

Negged the only one which appeared to be revealed.
1985  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: March 18, 2015, 06:19:30 PM
Anyone care to comment on how/when this thread got lockaed, and no unlocked? Seems odd. I am guessing it was a mistake, and probably not by Spondoolies.
I unlocked it, I'm not sure how it got locked. Maybe I pressed the Lock while reading with my mobile by mistake.

Guy

Reason above apparently.
1986  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Tube Setup [HD] on: March 18, 2015, 06:11:27 PM
Anyone tried overclocking these? What were your results?

Anything past 300 clock speed is strongly not recommended, and 300 requires a proper PSU.
1987  Other / Meta / Re: CanaryInTheMine is further abusing the trust system [Edit2] on: March 18, 2015, 06:08:31 PM
Also, not that it matters now that CanaryInTheMine has been removed from both level 1 and level 2 default trust (he is 100% out of the default trust network), but it appears that I also have been excluded from his trust list.

It also just so happens that I recently gave FC a negative trust rating saying that he is a scammer (which he is). I wonder if this is somehow related - I don't doubt that it is considering that I have never done any business with him not communicated with him in any way

I also have been removed (because I was in the trust list of CanaryInTheMine) but it doesn't matter. I have left a negative feedback to a lot of suspicious users (revealed scammers). I don't know what is happened with FC, maybe can someone (through PM) explain me what is happen? Thanks.

It'll get fixed soon, someone else will pick you up. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=383349 should be a neutral by the way.
1988  Other / Meta / Re: CanaryInTheMine is further abusing the trust system on: March 18, 2015, 06:05:06 PM
Laws in the U.K can prevent this. Make your complaints accordingly.

That's a bit rich when you and your cronies keep accusing me of VAT fraud, which you very well know is false.

If you truly believe in what you're saying, you wouldn't be afraid to prove it in court, right? So then you'd be happy to provide me with a contact address, right?

@dogie @Bitmainwarranty
Looks like everyone is happy with Bitmain right now.

Can you guys have a look at the firmware on The S5 looks like extremely high reject rates. The S4 firmware seems to have fixed the S4's problem. But the S5 seems to be doing the same thing on westhash and ban.I have tried all sorts of settings and configurations same results. Thanks in advance

Can you post a screenshot of S5 side and pool side of what it looks like?
1990  Other / Meta / Re: Is GGGGG hacked on: March 18, 2015, 04:22:44 PM
Is it stated anywhere how long that warning remains? Been seeing it on quite a few users.
1991  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [ANN] HashCoins - Cryptocurrency Mining Hardware Manufacturer on: March 18, 2015, 12:38:33 AM
Dogie, in your Ares 256 review you recommended to set difficulty to 16000+ in Ghash.io pool settings. I tried increasing it to 51000 and the miner is now capable of up to 360 MH/s. Two Ares units output 680-720 MH/s, while retaining the same power consumption! Note: environment temperature is 22C.

Made no difference to me. The higher difficulty will be doing is increasing the period you have to run to get an nice average hash rate, and the only time it should make a difference is if the controller is being bombarded / overloaded by too many low diff shares. I don't see any evidence of that happening at 16k.

Thank you for clarifying. I'll test it.

I got an extra 10MH [subjectively, its not been long]. Can you post a screenshot of your pool stats? If I got any extra hash rate then it is very much possible there is extra headroom which I'm power [heat] limited at.
1992  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: March 18, 2015, 12:35:21 AM
Exactly the attitude that makes BTC appear supremely suspect as a medium of commerce.
Its nothing to do with Bitcoin, see Amazon.com example below.

Guess I was wrong Dogie, you are purely a lackey of Bitmain!
I'm giving you my opinion, not Bitmain's. You don't have to agree with it.

The coupon can only be sold at a significant discount
You can get near face value for the voucher, just list it for sale.

it's a lottery on the price, and expect limited value for any compensation you can't make use of

Think of Amazon and how their changes their prices every few minutes, only the other week I ordered something then it dropped $5. I'm not entitled to compensation. And its not a lottery, the price you see is the price you pay should you choose to buy. Customers were complaining the price was too high, and so it was lowered. If we all tried to set a price at once or kept it level or moved it up and down willy nilly then we'd get nowhere. 467,149 cooks spoil the broth.
1993  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Weight of one KNC Neptune cube? on: March 17, 2015, 11:50:13 PM
2,35 Kg

Is that boxed or bare? [Just asking because this thread will get indexed and there'll be plenty of others asking in the future Tongue]
1994  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Beginner, choosing PSUs for BFL Monarchs on: March 17, 2015, 11:49:29 PM
If they're rating them at 550W, you could get away with 2x on each Evga 1300W G2. There isn't really a non server PSU, sensible option to run 3 of these.

true even the evga 1600 p2 would struggle and it is costly

http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Supernova-Platinum-1600-Watt-220-P2-1600-X1/dp/B00NJG61JQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1426635709&sr=8-1&keywords=evga+1600+p2

Yup. You can see on my comparison thread that the larger units just aren't efficient per $.
1995  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: March 17, 2015, 11:47:23 PM
just checked the files I was sent... yep still have them.  you would be the last person I would release them to as I told you before.  any other trusted people, no prob...
you are a liar.

I'd offer, though since some around here seem to think I'm Puppet and I work for Asicminer I might not be the best choice.
Perhaps BadBear or hilariousandco would be willing?

BadBear isn't a fan of getting involved with things like this. Any of the general escrow agents could handle something like this though.
1996  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: March 17, 2015, 11:44:47 PM
i had this same problem last week at my local gas station.. i filled up my car almost 45$ worth of gas, the next day i drove by the place and gas had went down nearly 10c..
also last month, i got a few dress shirts from my local suit store. the next week they went on buy one get 2 free..

of course when i went in , they wouldn't give me my money back..

so um.. its common practice for business to not refund when things go on sale.
The dumbest post I've read in ages.  I'm duly impressed!  The $369 is not a "sale" price, it's their latest adjusted standard price.

You agreed to $419 when you purchased the items, the price the day before, the day after or any other day is irrelevent to your agreement. Anyway, Bitmain offering coupons - which are a gift and not a requirement - are as good as cash. You can sell those coupons to others if you don't want to use them yourself.

I'm being really stupid I know, but can someone tell me where CITM is, because I can't find him  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;full

That's where he was, he's now been removed. I'll lock this thread in a few days or when it stops being useful. Any follow on issues can have their own thread.
1999  Other / Meta / Re: CanaryInTheMine is further abusing the trust system [Edit] on: March 17, 2015, 07:39:29 PM
Canary ... IMHO you should really start off with a clean slate. Wipe your Trust list and add only those you actually trust.

CITM's list is silly and has been pointed out a bunch of times. I agree he should probably remove about 90% of those guys and start fresh.

Which begs the question, why was he ever in Depth 1 to begin with? In this post I went through the list of other Depth 1 users, and its pretty easy to see why they're in the list.

2x site admins
4x staff
4x escrows + account markers
2x oldtime securities / gambling agents

1x trader [Phil]
1x Canary

The first 12 are clearly good candidates to Depth 1, Phil and then Canary..... Not only does he not operate a sensible trust network, he actively abuses it to improve his own standing. Why? So he can sell more items for profit. Not only that, he then aggressively uses that power to attack anyone that speaks about this abuse.

I plan to expand default trust list

I think you've done enough expanding, you've added more accounts than everyone else combined and the vast majority of those are inappropriate.
2000  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Ark Customized Version Of The A1 Chip Bitcoin Miner 1.5T ( low power consumption on: March 17, 2015, 05:47:06 PM
I bought one of these from a Chinese reseller on Alibaba.  The power supply died and I can't find a replacement anywhere.  The P/S has no 24 pin connector.  Just a 8-pin to the PCB and then 6 6-pin connectors to the mining boards.  Now that selling miners is hard my reseller stopped offering them and won't respond to me.  I need to buy a replacement power supply jst like the one in the picture.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?

If you can take a picture of the connector we can try and work out the pinout, and so a suitable replacement.
