A good way saving money is making food by youself. Don't buy ready made food in school/work. Eat out as few times as posible and you can put a lot of money asaide
life not only about food and eat save your money before you spend it , it's right way to save money

I've seen good options here, but the one i like the most and actually use is to limit my spending. Not buying rubbish products is the way to go...
Here is some more. Switch off television. Most of the time only crap gets broadcasted! Write a list before you go shopping – and stick to it. Repair clothing instead of tossing it. Drink more water instead of soda.Water is cheaper and healthier. Quit smoking. Install a programmable thermostat.I have one in each of my rooms. Quit using credit cards. At least reduce to a minimum amount. Always do a price comparison – and find a cheaper grocery store. Try generic brands of items you buy regularly. Can be much cheaper as the original. Great tips. I've got some more for OP - Buy what you need - Save the maximum you can and make sure the money is working for you (investing or use a savings account) - Eat/drink what your body needs, not what you minds need - Cut your spending (f.e. use skype/viber for mobile calls, instead of your mobile subscription)

Good ideas, also I'd add in use coupons! You'd be surprised how much 30min of cutting out/printing out coupons will save you, it adds up to the $1000's for me over the year.

Write a list before you go shopping – and stick to it.
Im doing this now since I entered married life to prevent unnecessary buys. Back in my single days, I found this method a boring one and hard to follow. But because I exposed now to everyday expenses, Im doing that now and really helpful! Quit using credit cards. At least reduce to a minimum amount.
Well this is the thing I can't erased but of course with minimal purchase now unlike before.

Some tips are very handy for me. I try to save money for ages now and with so many tips i can try it again. Maybe OP can list all good tips in a list?

One thing is true we learn to save when we are childs, some of us atleast, when you wanna buy a new game or videogame you start colect all weeks the money fathers gaves to you to reach that ammount and you became able to buy it.Some of us keep those lesson for the rest of our lifes others, think they dont need to save ,but its a must.
I feel in miner or normal person, Electricity is often a large monthly expense. Do both your wallet and the environment a favor and cut back on your home's energy use. Better When buying new appliances, go with ones that have energy-saving features solar or gasoline reducible appliances.

I save by laying apart some money every month. Hard work and try saving money, as much as you can.
The tips here are great, but you need discipline to save and don't spend it again. How hard the tempation may be.

I save money by always paying my bills on time. This way I never have to think about paying extra fees etc. Not taking loans, so I don't have to pay interest is also a good way to safe money.

Yeah you are right. I once experienced paying my bills with almost a month a due and damn the interest. Right now Im practicing to get this things done properly by forcing myself to pay it on time.

Interest will really kill you so avoid that kind of financial term. Although there was a time that it is not really avoidable, always make sure to put an end to that immediately once you get there.

That's correct, the term 'Sale' is only on paper, if you compare the price you would find that you have been cheated as you pay higher in sale and that also for the unwanted things and that is ridiculous. So I don't think that sale can really make any difference in saving, it is better to spend money only on the things that you really want.

In most of the cases, buyers are not cheated here in terms of pricing. As many all know the original price of the items that will be put on sale. The cheated part for this situation is, they dragging buyers to purchase more and more resulting for them to ruined their budget plan.

Good for you but I did not give gifts last christmas so that saves me alot more from expenses by not buying at all. Christmas gifts are just commercialism anyways. :-)

Yes there's a lot of ideas and methods out there but not all ideas and methods are applicable to everyone just the saving 20% of the salary, that's not applicable to everyone specially if the salary is just enough for the family to survive for the next payday.

It can be profitable to pay your bills on time. No fines, no interest etc. But to make some real profit for your savings, try to shop in stores who offer wholesales prices. Every country must have a shop where you can shop against wholesale prices, being a ordinary consumer.
