First Pakistan batted and give a big target to New Zealand team and I expect that Pakistan ka easily win this match but expectations wrong new Zealand chase down big target of  345 runs. In warm up matches both team show brilliant performance let's see in world cup

Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh

Second match of warm up series also finished between SL and BAN. In this match, Sri Lanka did not show good performance and set 263 runs against BAN and Bangladesh also chase down this target and secure their victory I see good improvement from Bangladesh team and this team Did not play well in some match in previous series.

Expected Pakistan and Sri Lanka to win, but I was surprised to see Bangladesh and New Zealand winning quite comfortably. Williamson returned in style with an unbeaten half century.

Bangladesh actually played really well without Shakib in their squad though I still think they won't go far in the World Cup.

This is the same as if FIFA decided to host a FIFA World Cup in India when India never qualified for the FIFA World Cup. This is strange, isn't it?
The same thing will happen if ICC decides to host a big tournament in the United States of America when they do not have an International presence in cricket. They do play baseball but that is an entirely different sport.

One reason i find is that because USA is a developed country, ICC would want to host cricket competitions there rather than in underdeveloped Asian countries in the hope of getting a lot of funds.

ICC obsession with the United States is well known. They believe that at some point USA will become the cash cow for ICC, similar to the case with India now. But I am quite skeptical about it. Americans have their own leagues such as the MLB, NFL and NBA, and they haven't shown much interest in cricket, which takes 3.5 to 4.0 hours even for the shortest version. Depending on expats from South Asia, South Africa and West Indies also may not work in the long term, as the second generation immigrants show a decreasing interest in cricket when compared to first generation.

I think ICC hosting part of WC in the States will become one of the reasons for some losses to broadcasters and that's why last year I felt Disney overpaid for the ICC media rights.

If this USA testing round doesn't hold up then the next media right cycle is going to take a hit and don't forget we have the Champions Trophy in the Pakistan. There would be some epic drama for sure, maybe the hybrid model will take the lead.

I agree with few points but now things are still taking good changes, and we have to accept them ICC is not thinking just about India they are now working on few other aspects as well which need to work on and this twenty20 world cup could be tested case for them which can make things good or dead for the rest of future as well.

Agreed. Any cricket format needs to become popular in India first when compared to every other country for various obvious reasons. The T-10 format could become popular pretty quickly everywhere.

However, I don't think the boards will focus primarily on it anytime soon thanks to the popularity of the T-20 format.

Ofc they are trying to explore different markets but in doing so they are alienating the main market ( in the context of timezone) and also keep exploiting the Indian market, hence the separate bid for the region. It'll blow back sooner than later.

I did say that Nepal is the best team among all of these three. And that is what is being proven time and time again. Nepal is just destroying the other two teams. And it is absolutely true that there is nothing which the other teams can actually do about it. In this match. Also, Nepal just destroyed their opponent. They put on a very big score, which was definitely impossible for the opponent to actually successfully chase down. 213 is definitely a very big score for any team to chase. And it was the Maldives who had to chase down this total. As soon as they saw the target, they knew they were screwed. Eight players were not able to reach their score to a double digit and six of them were zeros. Maldives had no hope in this match.

Even Nepal is having good time in last few matches against teams like Mongolia and Maldives, but it's never been easy to compete with quality like Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka as we already watch in last Asia Cup how things were happened because now they are far behind in quality and available sources as well which are needed for having good quality and performance for competing with top teams.
ICC needs to work on for the development of few countries which can bring good changes, and also they can bring more revenue from these markets as well because recently we have good interest from many countries, and now they are also sending their teams for few competitions as well, but sadly ICC has never been good place for these associate countries which are interested in the quality game in cricket.

England vs Ireland

Second ODI match between England and Ireland lived. Ireland won toss and decide to bowling first. England batting performance has been commendable. England played 30 over and scored 194 runs while losing 3 wicket. Ireland seems to be difficult situation because bowling performance not good. If England continues this performance they successfully set a target of 300 or more runs.

Ireland right now need 73 runs in 37 balls. There is 27 runs last wicket partnership going on. Chances of Ireland winning this game are very rear but they are doing good by giving a good fight. England scored 334 runs in 50 overs and Ireland in replay are not giving a good fight by scoring 262 runs and still one wicket in hand. Ireland cricket is improving day by day and soon they can get regular test status.

Yes, Ireland team has shown significant improvement in ongoing ODI series against England team. In the previous series between England and Ireland , Ireland performance was quite poor but in this ODI they have improve many mistakes especially in batting lineup. First match suspended due to rain but in second match, England set a tough target. Despite England's already has a strong team Ireland has been working on correcting their mistakes and improving their weak points. The next and final match of this ODI series is played on 26 Sep and hoped that Ireland will show an even better performance than the previous match and secure a victory.

In the match between England and Ireland, Ireland improved quite a bit but could not save wickets. The fall of wickets was high which ultimately led to an all out and departure from the field. If Ireland could have kept their wickets in this match, it would have been a competitive match in the end. Because I can see that England is a strong team compared to England Ireland is not strong so it is natural that Ireland has a weakness in these matches. The bowling line of England team is weak and has pace which is ready to counter the Ireland team. If the Tucker players of the Ireland team could have collected something, we could have seen a competitive match here.

England Lost today in the world cup by the underdog, Afghanistan,  A very big upset indeed.

Afghanistan won by 69 scores and also had the 6th position in the point table so maybe the Afghanistan team can qualify for the top 4 semi-finalists. They won the match with a very high and amazing run rate, which can help the Afghanistan team to qualify for the top 4, but I think that they can’t qualify as semi-finalists because the competition is so high. They need to win against Pakistan, New Zealand, South Africa, and other countries. This is a tough challenge for Afghanistan.

The most shocking news of this World Cup is that Australia is at last position in the World Cup until today. This is a piece of shocking news because they won 5 times ODI World Cup. They won in 1987, 1999, 2003, 2007, and 2015.

1st ODI match of Women's International Series:

Today was the match ODI match between Scotland women and Ireland women of Women's International Series. Ireland women won toss and decide to bowl. This match was played in Desert Springs Cricket Ground. K.E.Bryce and A.Bryce performance was outstanding in this match. K.E.byrce scored 78 runs in 103 balls and hitted five 4s and other batsman S.Byrce scored 42 runs in 66 balls and hitted three 4s. After giving the target of 211 runs then all team dismissed and almost 3 overs were remained for batting. Ireland women failed to chase down this low target and did not secure their winning in this match. Now Scotland women leads 1-0 from Ireland women. Remaining two matches are left for play hope Ireland women perform well in next ODI matches.

I am still confused about the number of participants and qualifying system. The ICC wants a 6-team tournament, with no qualifying tournament (they want teams to be selected from the ICC ranking instead). The IOC is definitely not going to agree to this and in the end two sides need to come down to a compromise solution. Anyway, one plus point is that since cricket is now an Olympic sport, many of the national cricket boards in associate nations such as China, Russia and Iran now becomes eligible for increased funding from the government.

For comparison Basketball, Field hockey, Handball, Rugby and Volleyball events had 12 teams each, while Football tournament had 16 participants. And none of these events had the direct entry system. There was an Olympic qualifier in place for each of these events.

When cricket was first introduced to Commonwealth Games (in 1998), it was a 16-team competition. And this year we had the Asian Games Cricket Competition, which had 14 participants (and it got over in 10 days). A 6-team competition would make sense if a proper qualifying system is in place. But directly selecting 6 participants and dividing three medals among them is not something I can agree with. Football is more popular than cricket and FIFA is much more powerful than the ICC. If FIFA agrees to an Olympic qualifier and 16-team tournament, then what is the issue with ICC?
