What you mean right now, it is always raining in London  Sorry, had to write it since I really hate those rain delays. At least they have one stadium with roof so one match is always going on.

Zverev is my pick for the final from that part of draw. Tsitsipas loss did not surprise me much, he was never good on grass and Tiafoe is good player when in form.

Well Zverev is one of the main favorites for the semi final and final. Dominated today while all the other favorites struggled a lot. Federer could have lost in the first round if Mannarino didnt get injured in this match and had to retire. Federer wont make it long,his time is up

I do hope the Zverev can reach as far as semi-finals. I agree that Tsitsipas was not a surprised, it's not that he is not mentally prepared, grass is not his favourite.

Nick Kyrgios vs Humbert match is suspended tied 2-2 and tied 3-3 on the fifth set. Interesting what will be the outcome of this match. Kyrgios has been out of the limelight for sometime and if I'm not mistaken this is his comeback tournament.

My pics in the Women's Tennis at Wimbledon are as follows:

All the Anastasia's (various spellings) Cori Gauff,  Jennifer Brady, the Pliskova's, Petra Kvitova,  Elena Rybakina,  Aryna Sabalenka,  Sloane Stephens - anyone against the Williams sisters - and Ash Barty from here in South East Queensland.   

Pavlyuchenkova/Rybakina in the doubles too.

I've had some not too bad wins on these Ladies so far this year and I expect their wins to continue over the next few weeks.

Tsitsipas is more of a clay court player, but he should be at least going into the second round. Maybe a tough draw for him facing Tiafoe who is good at fast pace surface that's why he just blasted Tsitsipas here.

Roger was extend obviously, so I don't know if he can go into at least quarter finals in this Wimbledon. So yeah, an outright bet on him is a long shot.

Yes of course agree, if he ever wants to grow and go over the other greats,,, then he has to learn to overcome his psychological adversaries, but this is not always possible even at the highest level. He will bounce back I am sure.

I think you'll find both Williams sisters were knocked out *before* I posted.  A similar thing happened only a couple of weeks ago at their last tournament - they were both knocked out in about the third round.  (this time 'round one *cough* slipped ^{took a dive} on wet grass)

My mistake, what I meant is Federer and not Djokovic.

But if you also look at the schedule, it's Federer vs Gasquet next and not Djokovic. So I guess you should get a hint that I made an honest mistake here.

To be honest i would not bet on Federer today. As you already said he did not look good at all against Mannarino he was the worse player and if Mannarino would not have been that incredibly unlucky with his injury then it was very much that Federer would already be out of the tournament now. I am pretty sure though that the main reason why Federer did not play well in the first round was also the wet grass. He just came back after a 1-year break because of a knee surgery and i am pretty sure he was very worried that the surface was so slippy and if you only think about that circumstance all the time then you are not able to perform well.

In any case, Zverev won his game confidently today, the game by Federer will start in half an hour. In the last game he didn't play so well and had many self mistakes, without the opponent's surrender it would have been another exciting fifth set. I think Djokovic is the safest bet in the tournament right now and I’m not sure if anyone can beat him.
Obviously, he is determined to win this GS as well and become the greatest tennis player in history.
Personally, I expected a lot more from Tsitsipas and Kvitova and I am sorry for Seren’s injury.
It seems that Azarenka is leaving this tournament today which is also a surprise, one of many in this tournament so far.

Well if Federer somehow even gets to Djokovic and knocks him out it would be a huge sensation. But currently everyone sees Djokovic as the ultimate favorite for the title. But Zverev is also beating everyone in straight sets and if he gets to the final might put Djokovic to work a lot harder to win the title.

Yeah, he is slowly getting into the groove, his fore hand is still crazy, finding those angles with different speed.

He broke Gasquet on the second set and that's what all he needed. The first set was close but he also blasted him in the tie break. Surprisingly, Nick Kyrgios also won. Fognini vs Rublev, I think Rublev will win this one probably in 4 sets.

That totally explains why I did not find (I in fact did not even know both were in until I read one had retired the day before) when I was looking at day before outrights Venus was EXACTLY the same odds as Barty (6.75) so I took one on both,,, did not even know she had her game earlier than Barty. You cannot believe how badly tennis is covered in my country unless you read the English newspapers:) At least Barty went through easily, but now am looking for outrights again.
