Did anyone watch Sinner v Isner yesterday? Tennis is amazing! a game where you
can score more points than your opponent but still lose.
Didn't watch the match but was surprised when I saw the final score, honestly I don't think Isner is a tough opponent for Sinner because he has played quite a bit and is old too but his serve is still good and often gives him points.

Watched the match Berrettini vs Aliassime, and Aliassime played well enough to beat Berrettini with a convincing score, looking forward to him perform well against Tsitsipas in tonight's match.

I am also thinking Zverev should be able to take Ruud in straight sets. Ruud is solid player but his best surface is clay, he does not have enough time to run around the ball to hit that monster forehand on this surface.

Rublev should have easy time but that match is must watch for me. Should be some cracking points. Tsitsipas and Felix are probably the closest match today. I will try with some handicap on Felix.

Yes i agree that zverev is a lot more solid on hard courts weve seen recently the best version of him this year so i would go for a 2 0 too for the german and as for tsitsipas and felix game i think it will be a though one and a three set is the closest result.

sunny and clear in cincinnati today, no rain forecasted! should be an exciting day of tennis.
yesterday was quite decent for me, with 19w/10l on all bets that i posted here and 13w/7l on bets with odds over 1.7. unfortunately could have done better if hurkacz managed to take the first set, as he was serving up 6-5 in the tiebreak but managed to loose both subsequent serves. also pegula could have taking it to a third set being up 4-0 and 5-2 on the second set and not converting a couple of set points. on the other hand, made decent profits with the wins of paire, ruud, badosa, krejcikova to name a few.. with that said time to move on;

men's singles;

paire to win a set @ 1.97
i don't expect paire to win here but I do expect him to hang in there with rublev, the french doesn't even need to win a set to cash in this bet, a 7-6,6-4 loss works just fine, and i predict at least that for benoit today.

carreno-busta to win a set @ 1.94
the two have met less than a month ago during the olympics, the spaniard managed to win in straight sets, maybe medvedev is looking to take his revenge here or will pablo prove too hot again for the world number 2 as he has shown all week and during his run to the bronze medal. one thing i am confident in is that it won't be a walk in the park for daniil, carreno-busta should at least bag a set here, but as I said yesterday, i believe medvedev will reach the finals this week again, so the russian in 3 @ 3.65 seems a nice punt for the adventurous ones.

women's singles;
barty and krejcikova have just started so no official tip here, although my thoughts are a win for barty and over 21.5 @ 1.9.

kerber @ 2.32
total games, over 21.5 @ 1.97
exact sets, 3 @ 2.5
they know each other very well, they've competed against each other over 15 times. they share almost the same wins and losses against each other, i feel they are at the same level at the moment as well and i believe this will be a long hard fought 3 setter and any of the two could book a place in the final four, therefore there is enough value in my eyes to go for the underdog here and the over.

my thoughts on the evening matches to come a little later.

good luck guys

Yes, so it's quite amazing to see him reach the quarter finals in this tournament. Maybe he got a lucky draw to be able to run this far. But he is a clay specialist, and I think Zverev could take him out easilty.

Rublev should have easy time but that match is must watch for me. Should be some cracking points. Tsitsipas and Felix are probably the closest match today. I will try with some handicap on Felix.

Tsitsipas lost the first first against Sonego, but eventually win. Felix has been improving a lot lately, so it's a good match to see as well.

I have Rublev, Medvedev for this round of 16 today and Zverev against Ruud
in the qarter final tomorrow.

I see Felix AA did the job against Berrettini, I couldnt call a winner beforehand
so I didnt bet on hat one. Also with Tsitsipas v Sonego Tsitsipas was favourite
but I have lost too much on him this year so I dont feel confident about him but
he won.

Latest news regarding the U.S Open

Rafael Nadal pulls out of US Open with foot injury, will miss remainder of 2021

In a statement posted on social media, the world No. 4 said he had been suffering
"much more than I should" with a foot injury, adding that the decision to end his 2021
season was "the way forward to recover and recover well."

So thats 2 op the big 3 missing the tournament and its now up to Medvedev, Tsitsipas
and maybe Zverev to stop Djokovic.

^^ Yeah, it's time for the young guys to step up now, this is there chance, they only have Djokovic as the only one remaining in the US Open.

I'm also not confident on Tsitsipas, this is not his specially surface, so we might see some upsets along the way. The Rublev vs Paire is about to start, I might go live betting on this one, but this could be Rublev in 2 sets.

paire to win a set @ 1.97
i don't expect paire to win here but I do expect him to hang in there with rublev, the french doesn't even need to win a set to cash in this bet, a 7-6,6-4 loss works just fine, and i predict at least that for benoit today.
i meant to post the over 9.5 for paire instead of him winning a set, at the end doesn't really matter as he managed to cash in both bets.

as mentioned before, here are my views on tonight's games;

mens singles;

auger-aliassime to win a set @ 1.75
auger-aliassime over 11.5 games @ 1.85
total games @ 22.5 @ 1.95
i believe this match will be very tight and the canadian has every chance to make it to the next round but it won't be a walk in the park.i expect tsitsipas to at least loose a set here which offers decent odds for felix.

zverev in straight sets @ 1.85
dropped one set in his last 17 on hard since wimbledon and that was against djokovic, i believe he will continue his dominance here and roll through in straight sets, i tip the german to make it to the final this week.

women's singles;

bencic in straight sets @ 2
9 wins and counting, definitely not opposing her streak, maybe tomorrow but definitely not today!

badosa over 11.5 @ 1.85
total games, over 21.5 @ 1.94
badosa @ 2.5
after her solid win against sabalenka, badosa followed it with another great outing yesterday against rybakina, she is playing at a very high level this week and surely must be full of confidence, she will push pliskova to her limit, and i believe she will be too much to handle for the czech. i see this match having a tie break or be decided in a 3 setter or both, as long as the future top 10 stamps her ticket to the final 4.

good luck guys

i agree with all your picks in that match, i believe we'll see three sets there and i also think Aliassime can win today, i 'am almost sure that one of the favorites (Zverev or Tsitsipas) is going to lose, and i'am leaning towards Aliassime to win, Tsitsipas seemed bothered by the weather the other day, and it' no good today as well, Aliassime has what it takes to beat Stefanos, i am for sure adding Aliassime to win in my parlay, and if he doesn't win, Ruud to win is my second option.

paire to win a set @ 1.97
i don't expect paire to win here but I do expect him to hang in there with rublev, the french doesn't even need to win a set to cash in this bet, a 7-6,6-4 loss works just fine, and i predict at least that for benoit today.
i meant to post the over 9.5 for paire instead of him winning a set, at the end doesn't really matter as he managed to cash in both bets.

as mentioned before, here are my views on tonight's games;

mens singles;

auger-aliassime to win a set @ 1.75
auger-aliassime over 11.5 games @ 1.85
total games @ 22.5 @ 1.95
i believe this match will be very tight and the canadian has every chance to make it to the next round but it won't be a walk in the park.i expect tsitsipas to at least loose a set here which offers decent odds for felix.

It was a three set match, AA did manage to win a set, however, his game is not over, he just scored a measly 10. And total games is 26. AA was able to come back strong in the second set, however, he just score 1 point in the third set as it was clearly dominated by Stepanos.

zverev in straight sets @ 1.85
dropped one set in his last 17 on hard since wimbledon and that was against djokovic, i believe he will continue his dominance here and roll through in straight sets, i tip the german to make it to the final this week.

Zverev vs Ruud, I have a feeling that this could extend on three sets as well.

So Tsitsipas, Medvedev and Rublev already won, so it's going to be a good semis finals.

Medvedev vs Rublev

Tsitsipas just waiting for the winner of Zverev vs Ruud match.

...and there we have it, just like it was ceeded the too four in the semi finals

Medvedev (1) v Rublev (4)

Zverev (3) v Tsitsipas (2)

Very interesting pairings, Rublev will give Medvedev a good run but I think
Medvedev will win, there will be serious power shots on display in this one.

Zverev v Tsitsipas is really difficult to call so I wont, Im edging towards Tsitsipas though.

For the first time in a long time we are able to see first 4 top seeds in a tournament to reach a semi final. Also we will have a russian semifinal between Medvedev and Rublev that will be really intresting. But Medvedev is currently in top form and he might win the tournament

Before giving you my pick, reading the news, I saw that Tsitsipas' being criticized a lot in Greece (and anywhere else) for his stance on the cov-19 vaccination. In fact, he stated that he'll vaccinate only if forced since he questioned the need to vaccinate for those under 25.
Back to tennis, which is why we're here, although Tsitsipas has dominated the rivalry so far, Zverev has closed the gap this year. This game's gonna be a close affair with a third set separating the two.
IMO, the Greek will eventually win it.

I am thinking both matches will go deciding set today so my bets are simple over games on a nice tennis double. I am more sure of Tsitsi - Zverev match though so I will maybe double up on it and include in some other ticket as well.

That is his right as well as for any other person. While I believe we should get high percentages of vaccinated people I am totally against enforcing it. It should be a right of choice for any individual. I don't know if he issued that statement by himself or he was asked the question. Anyway that stuff should be private and especially famous people should not speak to public with intention of swaying their opinion.

True, so the semis is really a very interesting match.

One thing's for sure, the match will go on a 3 setter here. Not seeing anyone dominating their opponents as this is the top 4 already. So might be safe to bet on the over.

Medvedev might be in his prime form, but for sure Rublev will try to hang it out and might take a set. But in the end, I would agree that Medvedev will have the tools to win in a 3 sets against Rublev.

i wonder what the odds would be and if any bookie will offer a bet on the top 4 seeds reaching the semifinals at the us open.
since nadal won't compete in new york, it is quite probable that we'll see djokovic, medvedev, tsitsipas and zverev all reaching the semis. thereafter they would be the new atp top 4 for a long time. doesn't zverev move to the top 4 on the next rankings if he bags the 1000 points at cincinnati?

So, Nadal dropping out of the US Open too? Sad

With Federer and Thiem also out, Đoković's chances drastically improve. He's hunting the Grand Slam ynd a win would also put him ahead of both Federer and Nadal in the list of players with most Grand Slams ever. Federer is leading there for as long as I can remember and a part of me really wants that Đoković does not take US Open.

Still, he'll eventually reach the no. 1 spot - so it's irrelevant when. Shame about the tournament though, it was supposed to be a big fght for no. 21 amongst 3 best tennis players in the history of the sport.

Cheering for Zverev now, but Djoko is taking this home.

In fact, it seems to me that Medvedev and Zverev will be much more serious competitors for Djokovic at the US Open.
The real question is actually how much Djokovic has recovered from the shock at the Olympics and how mentally ready he is for this very demanding tournament.
I know that Djokovic has already given up one tournament before the US Open and we don't really know in what condition Djokovic will come to this tournament.
Still, no matter what, even if he doesn’t win this GS, Djokovic will continue to play at a top level for at least a few more years and he will win a few more GS titles and officially become a GOAT.

hot and sunny day in cincinnati with 2 great semifinals to look forward to. yesterday was another day in the black with 4w/3l, and a bunch of voided bets due to the retirements of badosa and kvitova. making it 23w/13l overall here in this thread.

as i mentioned all week, i have medvedev and zverev making it to the final, the german takes his streak to 19-1 in sets won since wimbledon, i seriously doubt he will drop one today let alone 2.
medvedev continues his dominance here and i can't see how rublev could trouble him, daniil would love to save his energy for a tough final tomorrow, he will look to wrap it up in 2.
only one bet for me today;
