Anyone betting in this tournament?

I had Berrettini, Bautista-Agut, Djokovic and Shapolapov winning @2.65 and it's good that I got the win, put some decent amount so I have the capital to begin.

@aoluain - yeah, I was surprised at Djokovic getting with the umpire again, it might hurt him in the long run specially games that are important and close.

Im making a few bets on and off depending on what I fancy and betting conservatively.

I also had Berrettini and Djokovic low odds though of course

I have Tsitsipas and Thiem today against Cilic and Fucsovics respectively again low odds.

Its nice to get a winner with high odds especially when betting favourites a lot of the time.

That's good to hear, I usually bet on parlay to make the odds more attractive,



But the games is getting hard to predict as we are now entering the round of 16.

Only safe bet for me is Opelka vs Karatsev, Djokovic vs Fokina (might extend to 3 sets), and then Zverev vs Nishikori.

Rublev vs Bautista Agut - is a tough one to call, both are playing superb tennis.

Berrettini vs Tsitsipas - this one as well, Berrettini is riding on a momentum from the last tournament, although he lost to Zverev, he is also showing signs to be in the contention here.

I would say that Rublev might have the edge in 3.

So for now, Sinner is undergoing a lot processes mentality and physically, just give him less than a year and he will make it difficult for the mens tournaments as he will surprise us with big wins.

I agree, we can't forget that Sinner is only 19 years old but he will get there. It's nice to see that the pool of young talents in men's tennis keeps on increasing!

You were right with tsitsipas winning 2-0 in sets against berrettini and to be honest i would not ave predicted that as berrettini performed so well in the last clay tournament in madrid where he reached the final against zverev. Good prediction from you. The upcoming matches of today should be pretty safe wins for nadal (vs. shapovalov), Zverev (vs. Nishikori) and Thiem (vs. Sonego). The match between bautista augut vs rublew is by far the closest one of this day at least on paper. For me rublev is the slight favorite here.

Tsitsipas and Djokovic won their games confidently. Nadal is currently behind, but I think he will still win the game. Thiem had a problem in the second set yesterday and then he won the game and I'm looking forward to his game today.

Nadal V Shapovalov - very close with Nadal digging deep to take the third set tie break.

He isnt playing his 100% but as true champions do he finds a way and never gives up.

^^, Nadal has difficulty against Jannik Sinner and then he almost lost to Shapovalov today, very strange of him. So it's a good bet for over 21.5 and the match going to 3 sets.

Karatsev's run is also over, he was defeated by Opelka and Thiem is out, (he is not doing good as well) to Sonego in 3 sets with 2 tie breaks.

Tsitsipas is more mentally prepared and I would is just above Berrettini that's why I predicted a 2-0 sweep.

But he can't play like this against Zverev tonight. You were right on the Rublev vs Bautista Agut. Thiem lost though to Sonego in 3 sets.

Tsitsipas has improved a lot in clay court since last year, so it's going to be close. Djokovic though is a well rounder players and it's hard to see him having off-night except maybe for some outburst in this game if he see that he is not getting some calls on his part. @Jackl87 it was an solid performance from Nadal because he managed to save 8 break points in the second set, and this probably effected Zverev motivation as he just couldn’t find a way to beat Nadal. Furthermore this has proved that Nadal is yet strong, and people should not have ruled him out before this match had started.

How I hate these rain breaks. I have a bet on Tsitsipas to take at least one set and now I have to wait hours for it to finish. What is worse, Djokovic will probably come out swinging and turn it around.

How did Delbonis manage to loose against Opelka? I was sure this will be 2:0 victory for him. Good thing I did not have time to make the bet, would have been a big one.
