the Djokovich v Nishikori should be the most anticipated match. Home town hero against the top seed and unstoppable Djokovic. It's going to be close but I think Djokovic can win in 2 sets here.

I agree it could be close and Djokovic should win, my bet is Nisihkori +6.5 which should be a no brainier in close match. Put that on treble with Cilic/Dodig and Humbert ML. I already expect to loose this ticket on Cilic/Dodig selection but wanted to include it anyway since I got great odds at local bookie @2,0.

You are joking, right? I expected it to be around 1.30, they are playing against Daniell/Venus. I'm an idiot for not checking things like these, I decided I won't be betting throughout the summer but I would have broken my rules for this one.

They won the 1st set easily and are cruising in the 2nd one, they are 4-0 up currently. They will give a good game to Pavić/Mektić in the final, maybe even win it.

Both pairs look in form and completed their semifinals matches with style, it has the potential to be a great final. I'm rooting for the Pavić/Mektić pair, although the odds on Čilić/Dodig might be tempting to take.

Job well done for all the croatians pavic and mektic has joined the other two in the finals and two medals secured for croatia it was a more difficult one than cilic and dodig match but in the end they were the favourite one and no surprises there and seems like the finals will be competitive and i think we can see three sets.

Nice game we have right now, Busta Carreno vs Medvedev. Carreno took the first set easy, 6-2 but Medvedev is fighting hard in the 2nd set, score now is 4-4. Hopefully it will go to 3rd set to make the match more exciting.

Djokovic won the game easily with 6-2 and 6-0 sets. There is a big quality difference in players, so it's not surprising Djokovic pass the round without showing too much effort. Now he is waiting for his opponent in semi final. I can see him getting gold medal in singles, other semi finalists are not half as strong as Nole.
I wonder if he can make both singles and doubles gold medal. That would be some extra achievement. Imagine having two Olympics gold medals and a Golden Slam, this would be the perfect tennis year for a player ever.

other players left IMO. I really thought Medvedev would make it through to the final.

I agree, only Zverev is the obstacles for Djokovic to win gold here. Djokovic is really unstoppable, no one can really match him physically and mentally in this game. He can play at his own phase, lose the first set and then come back to win the next 2 with complete dominance. It might goes an easy two sets again. Zverev can play perfect tennis and still lose to Djokovic next game.

Both played against relatively weak opponents and were not even tested so far. Both won all the sets so far but Djokovic was a bit more convincing. I will probably end up taking a handicap on Zverev if I find good odds for 5.5, maybe even first set +2.5.

I know I am taking Cilic/Dodig +3.5, can't believe they are giving @1.7 odds for doubles final match. Those matches usually break on one ball.

Your prediction have come true. Bencic played good and it was a retain from Rybakina. In the deciding set Rybakina was in the lead. Then Bencic took the lead, soon after the lead Rybakina got pressured, which was clearly visible. Vondrousova had marked her win against Svitolina with ease on direct sets. The finals for gold will be more interesting. It is surprising to know that Novak Djokovic haven't won Olympic gold in singles.

But I'm thinking that with the way Djokovic is playing at this Olympics, he can do it like a 2 set even playing one of the best version of Zverev here. Under 21.5 @1.77 is what I'm thinking to bet. And then do some live betting on Carreno-Busta vs Khachanov good odds for +1.5/-1.5 handicap.

yeah, if someone could make troubles for Djokovic here, that is Zverev, although I clearly not do see this as possibility, he is just too dominant at the moment, and it does not matter what Zverev will play, if Djokovic plays as he can, it will end up in two sets
regarding other semi-final, Khachanov has a win over Djokovic in 2018, final at Masters in Paris, so he could also posses a threat in these conditions, but doubt that as well

it would be good to have at least one interesting match, but that is also far from expected, I expect 2 sets in both matches (semi-final and final) for Djokovic, he is probably more concentrated to double-gold at the moment

it wasn't as i expected it to be, i was hoping for a competitive match but Nishikori disappointed, it was a one sided match, Djokovic did all it takes to prevent Nishikori from coming back, Nole is a monster right now, but i think he can lose a set against Zverev and it could be in a tiebreak, If Sascha's serve is on point today, he can cause troubles for Novak, but to be honest at this point it seems obvious that Djokovic is going to win the gold medal.

Great performance by khachanov i did not think he would win this easily i thought this can be a 3 sets game but apparently djokovic and zverev was the one its 1 -1 and judjing by this second set i think there is a big chance for zverev to win.
