Unfortunately, federer lost his comeback at the beginning of the week, he may still be preparing for Wimbledon and trying to play well there and then ending an impressive career. Thiem has also lost his preparation for Paris, I don't think that he is still one of the favorites for Paris, but we'll see.

Yes Thiem would have been looking forward to progress to next round and get as
much game time ahead of RG. Cant believe he fell to Norrie.

As I have commented yesterday, Thiem is on the struggle, I should have pull the trigger and either bet against him or Gasquet from @Jating and @Trofo analyst, damn, I became gun shy.

I have missed a lot of games over the last few days so its looking like Tsitsipas the
clear favourite to take the Lyon title. The 8th ceed Khachanov is also still in
contention but he has a tougher match against Gasquet.

Yes, notice that you are somewhat missing in this thread. And I agree taht Tsitsipas is now the clear favourite to take the title, he still needs to win though against a dangerous Nishioka who pull an upset against Monfils, come back from 0-1 and won the last 2, winning the last set in tie-break.

Wasnt to be in the end, Tsitsipas keeps the win to a two setter after a tie break,
he is looking quite strong. Interesting semi against Musetti, I think I still fancy
Tsitsipas to at least get to the final.

Second semi could be very interesting Khachanov against either Norrie or Rinderknech
the lucky looser sinner slayer!

That game us suspended, so thats not favourable for either to play the last set of
that game and then play a semi against Karen, that will be tough in itself. I fancy Khachanov!

I got a good win on Musetti vs Bedene (-2.5) and Gasquet vs Khachanov (-2.5) as well.

However, I haven't bet in tonights match, the line for Tsitsipas (-4.5), I'm not comfortable with it. This is the semis already, he is up against Musetti, so that line is very close, it might go to 3 sets though.

4.5 is a bit high but I took Tsitsi to win 2:0 @1.6. The odds are a bit lower then handi but I am expecting him to prevail due to his experience. He is solid on the serve and I expect that experience will be enough to prevail as the sets comes to a close or maybe even in tie break. One tie break is enough to destroy that handi but should play nice with 2:0 win.

Don't know how Norrie keeps winning, I never thought he could be this good on clay. Watched him when he destroyed Thiem and still don't understand how, yes Thiem is out of the form but to loose as easy as that. I am thinking Khachanov should win that one but not betting on it.

Musetti for me is the future in tennis playing with an amazing one-handed backhand and already making some great results at a young age.It wont easy for tstsipas but he will probobly go through to the next round

Anyone watch the Parma womens final between Gauff and Wang?

That was an interesting match up, Wang had Pat Cash coaching her since December
and this is her first final outside China but she couldnt deal with the power which Coco
can generate. She won handily
enough in two sets.

The match was extended to 3 sets as I have predicted. Musetti takes the first set, but Tsitsipas come back strong in the second and then give Musetti a bagel in the 3rd set.

Wasn't expected to see Norrie winning in 2 sets against Khachanov, I thought Karen will give himself a good showing and possible to win, but Norrie was too good.

So the final stage has been set, I'm liking the +4.5 for Norrie, put some bet and see how it goes.

Coco Gauf is a very good young tennis player and the future of women's tennis.
Do you remember her first tennis title?
When she was only 15, she defeated Ostapenko in the final of the tournament in Linz.
She reminds me personally of Serena in those years.

Good to hear the Coco has won so her name is in the limelight again.

I remember that there was a lot of hype on Coco, saying that she will be the next Serena and then she fell off the radar (probably due to the pandemic).

She needs to break into the top 15 next, no doubt that she can do it, and probably in the next 2-3 years, we might see her in the grand slams.

Good for Norrie for reaching the finals though, all other rated players exited in the last 16 if I'm not mistaken and it's only Tsitsipas ranked second in this tournament who survives and eventually win the trophy. So him and Nadal will be the favorites in the French Open.

Agree for Nadal and Tsitsi but you ahve forgotten Djokovic. He can go far for sure and nobody can count on win against him.

This should have been time to shine for Thiem, but he has had a lengthy pause and since his comeback he is just playing backhand slice instead of his very good top spin backhand. Not sure what has happened with him, I guess it must have been some injury and he is probably still unsure how much abuse his arm can take. As it stands now I am expecting early exit from him and will probably play handicaps on his opponents in first few matches.

There are 3 potentials for the final, Nadal, Djokovic and Tsitsipas, but indeed its
such a pity for Thiem, he was showing potential early after coming back from injury
but he is still in recovery mode, still another week before RG, he may get further than
many give him.

I also agree that him, Nadal and Djokovic will be the favorite entering the Roland Garros. Those 3 are just above the league. Pretty disappointing for Thiem actually, he seems to be losing some steam, maybe he wasn't 100% in the second half of the year due to the injury he suffered. Sinner might be a good underdog as well, together with Karatsev, Berrettini.

I lost my bet on Norrie +4.5. Tsitsipas was really playing good in this surface, I'm still going back to his lost to Djokovic, if not for the rain delay, he could have won it and goes against Nadal in the finals.

Anyhow, I would tend to agree that he will be one of the favourite in the French Open, the way he is playing right now, and his mentally, will be hard pressed for anyone to beat him at this point. He is reaching his prime years as a tennis player.
