P. Kohlschreiber vs S. Tsitsipas, third set now, 6-3, 3-6 in two sets, so 1/1, third set is 3-3, gonna be close but hopefully Tsitsipas can pull it off.

Tsitsipas won already 6-3 in the 3rd set. He broke Kohlschreiber and that's what he needed, as he didn't let him score after that huge break.

Some good seed in the womens side is also winning, including home town crowd favourite Naomi Osaka.

Djokovic vs Struff tomorrow, Dkokovic -5-5 favourite at 1.85, I think he can cover it.

Oh yes, he can cover that for sure, 1.85 is a decent price.

My two bets with Tsitsipas and Swartzman have been realised but Andy Murray
has pulled out of the singles tournament while continuing with the doubles, recommended
by his medical team

Max Purcell replaced Murrays place against Felix AA and wins, thats an upset.

Naomi was expected to win and she was my only pick (-3.5) from ladies side. Naomi is the most complete player on WTA tour for me and if she manages to overcome her mental issues she could rein for a long time. Happy for her as well.

Bigger surprise for me was Nishikori win against Rublev. I guess he likes to play in his home country.

Murray pulled out from singles but he will still play doubles with Salisbury. He has a small thigh injury and physios told him to not force it.

I was not happy to how it got in nishikori vs rublev game because i made a bet on rublev i thought that with nishikori a bit out of the game since wimbeldon that rublev will get past him but that was not the case maybe the weather played a role in it as you said and for tsitsipas he won with difficulties and with this performance i dont think he will make it far.

It must be a big boost for guy like Nishikori who left for USA to train very young. There is not many big tournaments in Japan so this is his "once in a lifetime" chance to play on biggest scene in front of home crowd.

Nishikori is a very underrated player, i really like his style, playing in Japan probably helped him against Rublev, it's really sad that a lot of fans in Japan don't have chances to see and support Nishikori in their country, i think he can win a medal, he's got the skills for it and proved it against Rublev.

Yeah, and it usually happens in the Olympics, if you are from that country, it will be a big boost on your confidence.
Lost my final bet on the Swiss Open though between Ruud vs Gaston, I bet on the Over but it was obvious dominated by Ruud in 2 set.

Now it's time to shift my focus on the Olympics and see if there will be underdogs or some good parlays to bet.

It was a nice win and the home advantage definitely plays a role but lets not overestimate it. Nishikori is a good player and has had it's prime moment 7 years ago (final US Open) but other than that, he has not really proven anything. I think the chances that he will win a medal are small, but the field is not great so he stands a chance.

Yeah, when he was at his prime, he can go against the big 3 or big 4 and sometimes win against them.

So it's no surprised that he win against Rublev in his home.

Things like this don't really surprise me with Cilic anymore.
He has obviously lost his confidence and faith and he is also losing matches that he easily won earlier.
Cilic was actually supposed to lose in the first round of the tennis tournament, but it is probably not clear to him or to others how he won that match.
What actually happened to a player who played 3 GS finals and won 1 GS?
Fortunately, Croatia has probably the best tennis pair in the world at the moment, Mektic and Pavic, and they are our main hope for gold in tennis at the Olympic Games.
In the men's competition I will continue to support Djokovic to win the tournament and get closer to realizing his dreams, Golden Slam.

Pavić/Mektić complicated things a bit today, they won 10-7 in the 3rd set after losing the 2nd one in the tie-break.

I watched a bit and Musetti/Sonego really played well, but the experience that Pavić/Mektić have turned out to be crucial today. When it mattered the most they stepped up and played without fear, they will only be stronger as the tournament goes on. I agree that they should be considered as main contenders for the gold medal.

Pavic and Mektic is almost unstoppable combination this year and they are first favorites for sure. Probably not even gonna watch them until final where they should arrive. I am more interested to see Cilic/Dodig play. I read reports that they had great first match and Cilic said that it was his best doubles game in life. Maybe we can get multiple medals in doubles this year.

Singles gold already has Djokovic name but women side of the draw could be much more interesting. Would love to see Osaka take it.

against Krajinovic and then at Wimbledon against Tiafoe, Matches he was expected
to win even though Tiafoe is a very good player.

So I didnt bet on him and he wins in straight sets on a hard court. He could be
back on track and one to watch for the semi's and final.

Could be, hard to tell, came across a headline that he was the first Greek to win at Olympics for a really long time so that bit of news actually came across as a surprise to me. Not that I can name Greeks off the top of my head right now but you sort of imagine the birthplace of Olympics would have quite a few tennis players.

Now wouldn't it be amazing if he ended up getting a chance at revenge against Djokovic in the final? Does the route make that possible? Can't tell from how it's all set up now.
