Osaka is different story, her problem is in mental part of the game and no coach in the world can help her. That is for her to figure it out herself or more probably in therapy sessions. Maybe a coach who was a top player before could somewhat alleviate pressure with advice and examples from his career but I think her problems are much more serious than usual match pressure. Hopefully we will see Osaka back on tour soon.
We initially thought that in the case of Osaka, it was really the coach, because of the timing, after winning a Grand slam she immediate switch coach and the same reason that Radacunu is giving us. She needs to go to the next level and the current coach doesn't have the experience to help her out. Later we found out that Osaka has a mental issue, but I still believed that it was a bad move to change coach. Mental issues are tough. Apart from therapy sessions, coaches can also sometimes give out advice on their own I'm guessing. But so far I'm feeling positive about the coaching change. Yes, she has taken a hard decision, but this will only benefit her in her career in the long run. She is still 18 and has already won a tournament in the highest level by defeating some top ranked players and I'm very eager to see how she does in the future.

Yes, mental issues not just for tennis players, but all other high profile athletes as well, it was a taboo topic before, but thanks to Osaka for bringing this up and accepting and recognizing it and let all the people know, that tennis players are human too and are undergoing a lot. So let's hope Raducanu will not fall for it, as we have said it is very difficult to cope. She is still young too, a lot of learning experience a long the way. @aoluain - I haven't check the tournament, yet, but will see, maybe a couple of bets around.

As seeded as well as the defending champion makes him a huge favorite here, and he has a great chance of winning again this year. Today's match that I think is interesting to follow and choose as a bet is I. Ivashka vs. G. Monfils and I choose over 20.5.

There are a lot of matches which are close affairs, another interesting one is Duckworth who has been fairly decent this season playing Paire who is as we know unpredictable.

I haven't put a bet, but when I check the score, it is very close and the match is still on-going. @Strongkored - I agree with your prediction, Ivashka vs. G. Monfils could on a 3 set so it could be over at 20.5. Or just 2 sets, but its going to be close, maybe a tie break on the first set and then 6-4 on the second. So let's see odds @1.84.

^^ Monfils won because Ivashka defaulted the game, it was a walk over win.
Sinner also won in two sets, it was a hard fought match in the 2nd, but he was able to prevail in the tiebreak. He will be facing Duckworth next.
Millman also advances, a come from behind win against Marchenko.
I thought that Dere could win and upset Krajinovic, one of my bet as underdog, but Krajinovic destroys him in two set, 6-0 in the 2nd set.

I didnt bet on the Ivashka v Monfils match, too close for me to call. I lost on De Minaur when he lost to Giron. Todays quarter finals matches with bets I have are Millman, Monfils and Sinner. Sinners match I think could be a tough match against Duckworth who has had a decent run in a few tournaments this year.

@Kemarit yes, I checked the bookies don't see the result with my bet (this often happens in bookies where I bet, getting longer results for canceled matches or when there are players who walkover), so checked the google I found it that Ivashka walkover.
In other tournaments ATP San Diego, the quarter-final between Rublev vs. Schwartzman could be a tight match, their last meeting was the Laver Cup won by Rublev in 3 sets, very possible 3 sets again.

@Strongkored so if a player walks away does your bookie credit you for winning or they term the bet void, cause I remember seeing on social media about a gambler rant that the bet was declared void when the player walked away, and he felt he should have been paid for winning it. Also Rublev will have a psychological advantage due to winning their last meet, but he can’t afford to be relaxed in this game, and he’ll have to bring his best game to beat Schwartzman again.

Let me answer that, as per my experienced, usually bookies voided your bet, meaning you will be credited back the amount you put a bet on that match. Yeah, looking at the ATP San Diego as well, I will have to agree again, this could be a 3 setter, if not Rublev to win by handicap. Usually though, I go bet against Schwartzman, I don't know, but when it seems that he is in a roll suddenly he will play very bad and lose his momentum specially when reaching the quarterfinals.

Sinners match I think could be a tough match against Duckworth who has had a decent run in a few tournaments this year.
It looks like all seeded players will come through the next round. Millman vs Giron - This might go to a extended 3rd set. Or I wouldn't be surprised if Giron again pull a big upset here. And all the match could really extend to 3rd set, too close for some matches including Sinner vs Duckworth. Monfils is not sure as well, Mager is also a tough player and will give Monfils a hard time and earn every point to go to semis.

You are right, he had pulled a big upset and will be facing Monfils next. Sinner prevailed, a tough two sets win, the first set was a tie break, and in the second set, he needed a break. So him and Krajinovic in the second semifinals. I'm predicting a Sinner vs Monfils in the finals.

Yes, the bookies voided my bet so that the amount credited to my balance, but as far as I know this also depends on the choice of the bet if the ML choice is on the player who walk over then the bet will be considered valid and the bettor is considered lost (CMIMW) Yeah, looking at the ATP San Diego as well, I will have to agree again, this could be a 3 setter, if not Rublev to win by handicap. It only lasted 2 sets and the second set was tighter, but what was surprising is Shapavalov's loss to Norrie, didn't have a bet on this match but this result is quite surprising me, I think Shapovalov will be a tough opponent for Rublev next round but that's wrong.

She isn't the first to do that, but perhaps the one to have done it at the right time. Borg had mental issues as well and he tried to open up, but back at the time it was nothing more but a weakness. For me personally, there is not enough talk in the whole sports world and elsewhere when it comes to non-perfect human capacity. And sometimes think that it is exactly the fact that we are not robots which makes us so special ultimately. We just need to draw the right conclusions from all we know instead of insulting people for being weak or losing a game. This counts for all areas in life. How is a person that is always strong and doesn't even know what it feels like to be weak actually help the weak? I have had bad phases, and I am happy I had them. All of them enriched my personality in one or another way and they helped me understand my life and others' lives better.

Top sportspeople like these always have that mental pressure, more compared to normal people like us. So it is pretty normal for them to suffer from depression and stuff. But what's not normal is that often it is overlooked. But also this taboo is now not seen as a taboo as much as before. Raducanu is still young and has many years ahead for her and I hope she can recover from whatever she is going through. And maybe it should be normalized for every player to keep a therapist or a mental advisor.

I expected this i betted on Norrie the last time he won against Shapavolov. Norrie is playing really good this year and he has one of the biggest winning % this year in wins. Norrie will probobly be in top 10 by next year for sure. He has a really good chance against Rublev if he is playing his best tennis.

Edit: Rublev showed a lot of frustration by the end of the 2nd set, Norrie to win the match is looking good for me.

Great match, I watched this and had a bet on Rublev, he took the first, Norrie took the second and the third had some great Tennis played, Norrie frustrated Rublev by breaking him in the second game. Rublev lost him composure a few times throwing the racket and hitting the net. Importantly Rublev couldnt break Norrie back. So Norrie v Ruud in the final. In Sofia im going with Sinner to win, I will continue my backing of him, he has earned me lots of Satoshi's in this tournament.
