It was really disappointed to see Nadal lost in a two setter, I thought that he will comeback in the second set and make the match more exciting.

And I agree that his win really affected the betting odds on his favor, but as you have said Thiem has the numbers as far as head to head is. Thiem though is notoriously known for being a slow starter so Zverev can take the first set and then Thiem coming back in the next 2 to win the match. And I wouldn't be surprised if there will be tie-breaks as well in this game so watch for it if you are going to live betting.

Thiem and Zverev but i wouldnt be suprised if an underdog from the back wins Madrid. Really hard to predict matches on clay lots of suprises

Ruud vs Berettini - Again Ruud winning very easy against Bublik, 6-1 in the second set. He is more rested than Berritini who won in 3 against Garin although he bagel him in the third. But I will give my good on Ruud, I think he has face high level opponents and closing them in just 2 sets.

Not so sure about that. How many times did you see player loosing next match just after winning against one of the big 3? I have seen it it at least several times and I think that is because playing against Nadal on clay takes so much away from you, even more mentally then physically. As I said my money is on Thiem simply because it has tremendous value, I was expecting odds around 1.5-1.6 on Thiem and got @2.4. I just have to place a high stake bet on that. This match is realistically 50:50 at best, no way Zverev can be favorite.

Only thing in Zverev favor today is that Madrid clay is playing almost as hard court due to conditions, if this was Barcelona or Rome I would be even more sure in Thiem.

Should be a great and close match for sure, too bad it is in the afternoon so I will probably not be able to watch it and after writing all this Zverev will take first set 6:1 just to spite me

I remember him as a great tennis player who at the peak of his career was equal to Federer, Nadal and Djokovic, but he was stopped by numerous injuries and last year by coronavirus.
Is it possible for him to return to the top of world tennis?
I sincerely doubt it but it’s nice to see Nadal giving him support and help.

^And Nadal is out in another straight 2:0 loss. he is definitely not in his best shape on clay this season. Did not see the match but this result is very surprising. Best thing about this result is that bookies have put Zverev as favorite against Thiem. I am taking Thiem win for high stake immediately before the odds drop. Zverev won but in 2 sets, yeah probably he is really hot on this tournament because he beats Nadal. Now he will be obviously the favourite to win against Berrettini.

(myself included) would have held on till too late hoping he could pull it out of the fire.

I cant call the final TBH, both players have performed fantastically, I would guess Zverev.

For the ladies, I was expecting Ash to win the finals, but then again, as someone has mention this clay tend to give us results that is so unexpected, (like Nadal losing to Zverev).

But I'm not putting the plug here, I think Zverev for me is the more complete tennis player and has improved a lot since they last met.

So Zverev won against Thiem, but I got my prediction wrong on the Ruud vs Berrettini.

But I think Berrettini is a dangerous opponent for Zverev here, yeah I do agree that we might see a tie break in the first set and then going on for 3 sets to settle. And with that said, Zverev for me here, the stake are too high for him to lose in this tournament against Berrettini.

I can't believe that odds are true. If they are, then the bookies screwed up big time and you can make sure bet. It should be less than 2.5, same as match line. If it is @5 you just place ML on Zverev and this on Beretini and you have made big profit.

I would have never thought that zverev could beat nadal and thiem and move into the final thank god i did not place any bets for those to matches because i would have lost both. Now he is the favorite against berrettini because he managed to beat nadal and thiem but i am in doubt again if zverev is living up to the role of being favourite in the final. The match is pretty open so far in the first set and in the moment it looks like the set will be decided in the tiebreak.

I thought that Berrettini will win after getting the first set. Second was close, just the breaks of the game and converted it early same as the third seed. It could have given me a good win as I have said previously, I have Berrettini to win @11.x, too close.

Well he live up for being the favorite as he gave up the first set to Berrettini and then took over the next two games. So yeah, he had beaten the best in this tournament leading up to him winning.

Now he has the potential to go to French Open as second favorite behind Nadal because of the strengths of his showing in Madrid. Of course Nadal will be the favorite, but at least Zverev's name will be in the discussion for the Grand Slam now and trim Nadal's odd.
