Walk over for Zverev, might be good or bad for him, I don't know. It means more recovery time for him, but then again he is a guy who needs to keep rolling and not lose his rhythm.

Yep, some players needs to get going and doesn't need a break. This players have been training to have a stamina, play today and just needed a couple of hours to do double and win again.

Just watching Schwartzman, who was 2:0 down and break down in the third. Managed to turn 3rd set and I have a feeling this match is going to 5th set. Not a really flashy match, more like to players grinding it to the end. Good think Medvedev started so I can watch them simultaneously

What a match, you were right not a flashy match, van de Zandschulp had over 70 unforced
errors and Schwartzman over 50. But history made van de Zandschulp the qualifier takes the win,
really happy for him.

On the womens side I watched a fantastic march between Kerber and Fernandez, top level
tennis and another upset as Kerber bows out.

Yes but Zverev is on the run, he is going to deliver and he has beaten Djokovic before. I think that this is the mental edge he has against Djokovic. There is no way to beat Djokovic but the fact that Zverev has done it once. Not sure how much value Djokovic puts into Olympia, but he knows that Zverev can beat him. Interesting game!

Alcaraz pull another escape again, vs Gojowczyk, it was a fifth set match. He was down 2-1 and come back and win the next 6 games with complete domination.

Alcaraz pull in the fifth set, 6-0, wonder Gojowczyk might be mentally tired as well as he was outlasted.

Tiafoe vs Felix Auger, I put a bet on Tiafoe -1.5, and this game will probably last four sets at least as Felix is trying to tie the score 1-1 in the second.

Alcaraz pull another escape again, vs Gojowczyk, it was a fifth set match. He was down 2-1 and come back and win the next 6 games with complete domination.

Look like a young potential player, I saw him at the beginning when he beat Tsitsipas in the fifth set, I still doubt he can pass to round 4, but he can do it, after beat Gojowczyk he still has a chance to the semifinal, of course, he must consistent on quarter-final next.

Tiafoe vs Felix Auger, I put a bet on Tiafoe -1.5, and this game will probably last four sets at least as Felix is trying to tie the score 1-1 in the second.

It was FAA all the way, when I saw him winning in 3rd set in a tie break, I said that Tiafoe is done psychologically, he fought very hard in that set to win, but FAA was in a different level. I know that he is also inconsistent, but today FAA was above level of his performance.

@blue Snow - Alcaraz was touted to be the next Rafa, because his coach is Rafa's uncle that guided him early. But yeah, he could be a hybrid of Sampras and Rafa and that is a different player. Bright future for this kid.

From a UK perspective, where Andy Murray is our only top player in recent years, I have to say Emma Radacanu is looking strong in the women's tournament. She has got a bit lucky with the draw, but she's only 18 and this is only her second slam, after reaching the last 16 in her first slam at Wimbledon a couple of months ago, she's now in the last 16 at the US Open. It's difficult not to get carried away, particularly after watching her win her last 32 match 6-0 6-1. I certainly don't expect her to win the tournament, but she looks like one to watch for the future.

I am thinking those odds are about right, Sinner is good but Zverev is better and he is playing in the best form of his life. Even best players in the world like Djokovic have big problems against in form Zverev so I am not giving much chance to Sinner to win today. I feel like his max in this match is to take maybe 1. set.

Medvedev seems as without any competition in his part of the draw, and he will probably see finals
Berrettini and Djokovic are both big favorites tonight, so they will met in next round, and Djokovic should pass that one
if Zverev made it to semi-final, will be interesting to see them after Olympics match, but I do not see Zverev taking Djokovic down another time, although he is playing great, and this is his grand-slam chance

Yes, of course, Sinner will have a slight chance against Zverev. But Zverev's form is outstanding so far.

I have Djokovic vs Brooskby over 28.5. I think the kid can take one set from Djokovic and make it close.

Yeah, Alcaraz has some serious firepower, still very young and for sure some with corrections and coaching from Nadal's uncle, this kid can be a serious contender for those new gen of tennis players.

Alcaraz is playing Felix first, and them Medvedev in semi-final, if the dutch does not kick-out Medvedev, which would be a big surprise

US Open is usually the tournament that I am watching the least, due to timing, does not suit me at all
Zverev is playing on a gold medal ground, and as long as winning streak is there, he will be good

Shelby Rogers lost to No.1 Ashleigh Barty in the women's event at the Australian Open. Which is one of the biggest upsets of the present time, anyone watched that match?
On the other hand, Novak Djokovic survived an upsets at the men's Australian Open. He defeated Kei Nishikori. Djokovic's next game is against Jenson Brooksby of the United States. So much excited about this match.

That was his first win against a top 10 player from what I remember reading about the youngest player since Chang back in the 80-90's to make it this far in the US Open.
I thought he was dusted and lost the match after getting a bagel in the second last set.
Alcaraz and Brooksby are the future of the sport with the likes of Murray and Federer moving on in saying they are retiring every year but still manage to comeback the very next season.

It is Felix Auger-Aliassime. He will be tired after playing a very intense match against Frances Tiafoe late last night. So the younger Alcaraz has the advantage I would say.

The US Open has already recorded some shocking results in both men's and women's games, for the women we have seen Leylah Fernandez making headlines upsetting Angelique Kerber to reach quarterfinals a day before her birthday...that's determination right there,  let's not forget her names people she is responsible for knocking out defending champion Naomi Osaka which makes it 2 former champs being defeated by her in two consecutive matches, I just hope she doesn't lose focus along the way she might be world number one one day if she can keep this up.

I just caught the last set of the Zverev v Sinner match, Zverev looks really
on top of his game, he is probably the top challenger to Djokovic as others

Raducanu has just been phenomenal. Lost the first two games against Rogers, nearly lost the third... but then won 11 straight games before winning the match 6-2 6-1.
And this comes after her match in the previous round where she won 6-0 6-1.

And she got through three rounds of qualifying just to make the main draw... 7 matches played so far at this tournament, and hasn't yet dropped a set.

However, the opponents get tougher as the rounds go on. Beating Bencic in the quarters is a huge ask, and the pressure gets more intense with each round.
She was I think 366 in the world before Wimbledon, now she's 1 win away from becoming the British number 1 ranked player.

Đoković has 3-0 in their H2H duels, a win on all surfaces - 2-0 win on hard in 2019, 3-1 win on last RG and a 3-1 win in the last Wimbledon final. Looks an easy win for Đoković, but Berrettini isn't as bad as these statistics say. I will try a handicap on him tomorrow.

When i watched the match of djokovic vs brooksby it looked to me, that djokovic was losing that first set almost voluntarily or just used it to warm himself up or something like that. The commentator was like "omg djokovic losing the first set with 1-6 games, the last time this happend was a year ago". Then in the following sets it was a completely dominating performance by djokovic again. I don't know whats going on with the joker and the first set of matches but is is really odd. Maybe some friends of djokovic are betting that he loses the first set or stuff like that, because i really think you could have won that first set too if he wanted.

Ivashka is not familiar name but he is playing in great form at the moment. Certainly much better than his ranking shows.

I am just hoping for some big handicap on Berettini but we will not get it. He is good server and I expect line to be set at 7.5 which is just on the line for me. One bad set destroys that line. I will rather play Berettini to take at least one set.
