Berrettini played good in first set and flipped it but when you play against the world's number one you have to do some extra extra. I'm glad Nole win another grand slam and equalize numbers, I hope he will pass on next tournament and became the greatest by number alone. He's already goat of tennis but surely that number also would doubters mouth shut. Considering his age and condition he can carry that most grand slam championship number to way higher before retirement.

Novak's a beast of his own kind. Berretini played great tennis but even that's not enough against this Djokovic.
The Italian player had the illusion to be able to win Wimbledon but Djokovic really was extraordinary yesterday. Still I believe Berretini's an excellent player, he's young and might be able to become a top player.

In fact, Djokovic did not play his best tennis in the semifinals and finals, but that is also a characteristic of great champions, that they win even when they don't play at their usual level.
Berretini was very good but it is always very difficult to play such big and important matches.
The psychological pressure is huge and it is not easy for a young player to play such a match.

You should respect a little bit more Rafael Nadal IMO, he won the US Open in 2017 and 2019 (he was absent from the last one in 2020), moreover if Djokovic wasn't able to be defeated in any tournament except the French Open, sportsbooks wouldn't list his matches anymore or with odds equal to 1.00 or under 1. So your champion is not unbeatable, and you will see him losing in one of the next tournements for sure, mark my words.
BTW he won't be the first one to manage to win the golden slam, it has already been done by Steffi Graf in 1988.

No because to get the Golden Slam you need to win the Summer Olympic Games tournament too but he said he's not really eager to paricipate because of the hard restrictions from the japanese authorities and moreover he wants to stay focus and to seriously prepare the US Open. So I don't think he will get the Golden Slam this year but getting the Grand Slam title would already be a great achievement.

I agree on this, Federer's worst enemy right now is his age. I mean you can try all the tricks of the 21st century to keep playing as long as possible but I think he's perfectly aware that his tennis time has come to an end.
Don't get me wrong here, Federer's by far my fav tennis player! His stylish and classy tennis is some pleasure for the eyes of the spectator!
Going back to Berrettini, I think he can become a great champion! He needs a few more games against Novak and Rafa to get better and better: I think we'll see his name a lot in the future!

I don't know if you have followed Djokovic off-court behaviour, but he is like a anti-vaccine person or his has a personality that is different from the norm. And this is one reason why he is not well loved, like Federer or Nadal eventhough he is the top seed and could broke the record of Federer. And yes that tournament also cemented his belief or non-belief about covid and vaccines. Anyhow, let's see if he can do the golden slams and win the Olympics.

You misunderstood me, I have a lot of respect for Federer and Nadal, and for me, along with Djokovic, they are the three greatest tennis players in the history of tennis.
I just expressed the opinion that currently Djokovic is the best and has the best chance of winning every GS tournament he plays in, while realistically Nadal has the best chance of winning GS in Paris and it will be very difficult for Federer to win a GS tournament again.
Many neutral tennis commentators think the same way.
As for the golden slam, I thought he would be first in the men’s competition.

We all know that he just came back from a injury and entered 3 tournaments if I'm not mistaken including the Wimbledon this year which he did a good show reaching as far as quarter finals. But hearing that he injured his knee, might be a bad sign that he is really getting old and his body are not coping with the rugged tennis tournament. I'm not saying that he should quit, but we might not see him again competition at high level which he used to be and might not win a grand slam, just saying.

Djokovic said that after the olympic games said that they wont let the crowd to the stadiums and serious covid protocols that he is currently 50/50% . He is a family man and to lose a lot of time in quarintine isnt something he is will to do. But he hasnt wont the olympic games yet and has an amazing chance currently

Quite a few players were stumbling on the grass at Wimbledon especially in the first two rounds.  Serena Williams did the splits nearly landing on one knee and retired hurt.  I can't recall which other players did likewise, but I can't say I'm surprised another player has an ongoing issue from the surface.

I wish Federer well for a speedy recovery.

Yes its a "3 horse race" to see who can win the most Grand Slams, if I was betting on
that I would go with Djokovic.

What are the chances of Federer winning another GS? IMO he is now at the same stage as

No,,, I do not really follow people off sports. My favorite football team Spurs I know how they play and have my favorite football players but ask me about their wife or gf or house or car and I know zero about these things. Same for tennis, I know they play and sometimes more about them as they give more interviews one to one than in football,,, so that is why I said I know for sure he does not care about Covid.

But who he is should not be important as you say, let us see him do Golden Slam and then let us all enjoy it.

I check the competition, yes there could be good names in this tournaments, but mostly some tier B players. But in any case, yeah, there could be some upsets down the line as these players wanted to go up in rankings and maybe preparing for big tournaments to enter.

Tsitsipas might be the top seed, and since is his favorite surface, he could potentially win this tournament but with opposition from Busta and Delbonis or even Lajovic.
