Djokovic just lost the first set against Medvedev with 6-4. Maybe he can recover once again as he done a lot of times this tournament. I only placed one bet: over 38.5 games. Didn't dare to place a bet on Medvedev to win but personally I hope that he will be able to do it and win his first grandslam

and he just lost the 2nd one too, Djokovic towin is @4 right now, it is the right time to bet on him, I think it's either going to end 3-0 or an insane comeback from Novak, an affordable amount to lose is good to bet with, what do guys think ?
Edit: Medvedev just broke djokovic's serve in the 3rd set but you know what, i still believe in Novak, betting on the third set now.

There is no coming back for Djokovic, Medvedev serving for the match point....and winning in straight sets against the joker incredible !!

What a very nervous last game in the last set for Medvedev, he finished it
out in the end, 6-4, 6-4 and 6-4.

I think everyone expected Djokovic to cone back after each set but his 1st serve
wasnt working and looked overall lack lustre.

Delighted for one of my favourite players though, I had him to take one set thats all.

It was an incredible game, though to watch Djokovic to lose but it happens. Fans were different, it's all emotions ups and downs all game. Djokovic cried before the game finished, you don't witness something like that in major sports.
Medvedev deserved this win and his first grand slam championship. It was a nice fairytale but Djokovic couldn't complete calendar grand slam. He's still the greatest of all time though, as Medvedev said. Everybody know next year Nole will win one more grand slam and be the only tennis player who win 21 grand slams.

Big congratulations to Daniil Medvedev on his first victory in Grand Slam tournaments! Medvedev played an incredible match, was confident in himself during all three sets, only at the first matchballs he began to worry and made double mistakes, but he pulled himself together and still won the match on his next serve. Medvedev became the first tennis player in 10 years to win the US Open after losing only one set during the entire tournament. It is also necessary to note Djokovic, who reached the final, but we must admit that the Serbian does not manage to finish the season. At first, the Olympics in singles and pairs were lost, and Novak did not even play the final in mixed doubles and Novak missed the chance to take the Golden slam. There was still hope for a calendar Grand Slam, but Medvedev, with his brilliant game, deprived him of this chance.

I really felt bad for losing my bet and also for Novak, the match was not finished yet and he started crying, Medvedev did not give him a chance to recover and he I didn't expect Novak to give up like that, 21st grand slam as Medvedev said is coming for sure for Novak and he's going to break the record.

What a win for Medvedev winning his first ever grand slam title in the moment when Djokovic was chaising history.Medvedev served so good that Djokovic didnt have much of a chance.Even when Djokovic had a chance he missed too many easy shots.I guess he was emotionally and fitness tired.What a year it has been for him,its sad that he didnt win it all.

I caught 3.10 odds on Medvedev, I know that betting against Đoković is rarely a good idea but I feel that the odds are completely out of place here. This bet has huge value IMO, and handicaps start from 7,5 - no way Đoković is such a clear favorite against an in-form Medvedev.

That odds will get even better as the time of the match gets closer. I can now play it on sportsbet @3.25 and they usually don't heave the best odds without boost, when I apply the boost it gets to nice @3.45 and I expect to get supper boost on it during the day. Should be odds @4 before I take them
As you said immense value, even though I never like playing against Djokovic.
Medvedev to take at least one set is also at very respectful @1.45 and that one seems like free money to me, just searching for another match to add to the ticket to boost it over 2.

No way that I will be betting on Medvedev. Yes I admit that he is in great form and he has already upset Djokovic in the Olympics but I have a really strong feeling that even though the match would be close, Djokovic will win it. There's no telling that he is one of the best if not the best tennis player right now. And I prefer to go for safe gambles, so Djokovic is it for me.

Unfortunately, Djokovic lost the match in 3 straight sets.

So I'm all good, winning a ML for Medvedev but lost my over bet.

@Joca97 - yeah, when he stormed the first set, Medvedev is destined to win and not allow for Djokovic to win the slam for this year. Still Djokovic fought hard in the 2nd set, but Medvedev can't be deny, so in the 3rd set, it was just moot, leading 4-1, there's no way that Djokovic can recover the way he is hitting his shots. So good job by Medvedev, now the young generations are really on his coat tail and it might be the end of an era for the big 3.

I just saw the result of the men's UP Open Final. I am one of the many people that didn't that one coming. I know Medvedev had a good chance to take it but I was expecting a tougher and longer match. You don't often see someone beating Djokovic like that especially in a Grand Slam Final.

What do you think of the crowd?

Djokovic just a dose of his own medicine, Medvedev really play perfect and in the whole tournament just dropped one set, that's really an amazing record. And then beating Djokovic in straight sets, outplayed him in every shots and every angle. The third and final set though looks like Djokovic will make a big comeback, but Medvedev have enough lead and there's no magical comeback.

I have over 38.5 boosted @1.93 for the mens final. Then 3.05 for Medvedev to win ML. In any case that he will win against Djokovic, I reckon it will be in 5 sets so the over can also give me some win. And worst case scenario it can still be covered as well if Djokovic win.

That was too easy with Medvedev, won in 3 set with the same (6-4, Unique number), in fact, we have a new winner on US Open (SIngle man and women). I bit surprised by Djokovic. He doesn't look like before, looks discouraged when lost in 2nd round. he has failed to reach 21, his record still the same as Federer and Nadal.

My prediction for this final match is correct that the match will not last five sets, but honestly I don't think that Medvedev will be able to do it, finally he able to lift GS trophy for the first time, and gradually the domination of the big 3 will begin to be broken by another players.
Djokovic still have time to make another records for his carrer, I don't see the Djokovic will retired soon, his physical and metality still very well, maybe he will still play for 3 years or even 5 more years.

I was rooting for Daniil all the way but in the last set when he was serving for the match
some of the crowd did not show him respect, they were too noisy. The pressure was on
and the crowd made it even more so with their chanting and cheering before his serve.

The players are not used to this noise there is always respect and silence during play

I also thought the Chair Umpire was not strong enough with his warnings.

Anyway I am delighted for Daniil that he has finally made his mark in the GS. Djokovic,
Nadal and Federer have 60 GS's between them over many years, their dominance is waning,
its time for new winners please.

A great tournament by Medvedev, he just confirmed it in the final once again. He's too strong and powerful for Đoković when he's hitting his shots, he's also extremely hard to break on hard surfaces.

Đoković was not at his best, perhaps because he was always chasing the game. He played some great points, especially on the net, but also missed some sitters - he had to finish a few of Medvedev's missed dropshots but he missed them all.

All in all - I'm really happy for Medvedev. He deserves this and Đoković will have to hunt for no. 21 in his favorite place - Australia.

But kind of disappointed to not see a calendar year grand slam for Novak since he had that DQ at the last US Open.
It would of marked his reset and have that 21 milestone behind him.

must say that although I did not expect an easy win for Djokovic, straight set lose was as far from my expectation as one prediction can be, and that cost my betting account a lot
in the end, Medvedev played great, but I do think that Djokovic has beaten himself with all the pressure he mounted on himself to win all GS's this year, and all the talk that was about it lately, he was just broken in the finals
nevertheless, expected some comeback from him, but it did not happened, congrats to Daniil, it was his afternoon (night here in my place) and he played whole tournament well, spent more than 6 hours less on the playground than Djokovic during the tournament

AO could be something else, but these two loses in a row (OG and US) could mean that change is happenning in men's tennis

A very good and convincing match from Medvedev, I would not have expected so, the victory was unique and clear against Djokovic, who seemed very frustrated at the end. I'm sure he knows it himself, the chance for the Golden Slam he will probably no longer get.

To be fair I don't think I ever said Medvedev is winning in straight sets. I expected Djokovic to take at least one set but that was not important for my bets. I had Medvedev to take at least one set @1.45 as my high stake bet.

I had Medvedev ML just for low stake unfortunately, was expecting it but not really believing. I managed to get @3.65 with super boost applied.

Watched first set and a half. Medvedev was untouchable in first set but Djoko could have and should have gotten the break early in second. Had 0-40 and easy volley on first break ball. After he did not convert that one, Medvedev did not give another opportunity.

I never expected that Medvedev could really pull it of and defeat Djokovic, but it happened. Medvedev played really great don't get me wrong but it seemed to me that Djokovic could not reach his full potential yesterday which is really sad for him as he had an historic opportunity like you already said. I also think that this was the main reason why Djokovic seemed kind of restrained yesterday, just like he did when he played in the semi final of the olympic games vs Zverev. If you can achieve something historic then even the best and most experienced players like Djokovic are starting to feel the pressure and yesterday he could not deal with it sadly.
