@slaman29, He is nearing his retirement that is for sure. I don't think he can continue for more than a year or so. But I have to appreciate the enjoyable games he has provided for the fans over the years. Maybe he will play a few more tournaments for the sake of just 'playing' before he says goodbye to his tennis racket for good.

For sure. I think we also feel the same way about any of these big Four players. I think for Murray as he himself says, he will only play if he himself feels he deserves it just like the same for Federer. And he may learn to play like the Swiss, as in, to prepare himself physically, and only pick the tournaments he feels he "deserved".

Like all good sportspeople,,, they want to put on a good show and not just compete for the sake of appearing and making the tournament less "incredible".

Indian Wells is also at a time which is too late for me to watch, except for first matches and those are usually bad. Tennis is a sport which you have to watch in order to judge form properly so I am sort of out of it at the moment. Will be back when the tour gets back to more friendly time zones.

I am glad that Zverev lost to Dmitrov (Result: 6-4, 4-6, 3-6 ). As Djokovic is not playing this tournament, I was very unsure about if he could still be no.1 till the end of the year as  Medvedev is in very good form. But now that he lost this, the probability of Djokovic staying no.1 goes high and I like that. Not sure but even I'm not kind of enjoying this tournament so far as it seems kind of bland to me. I don't know maybe a bit more marketing would have brought more attention.

I was watching match between Dmitrov vs Hurkacz which is currently controlled by Dmitrov as he is playing very good. He beats Medvedev, not Zverev in his last match because Zverev is going to play his quarter-final after 20 hours against Fritz from the USA.

Dmitrov was very good player few years back, but sadly his performance was not good recently but in this Indian Wells he is playing one of best games first beat top ranked Medvedev now have break in third set against Hurkaxz is extraordinary from him now he is going to face another good exciting player Norrie in Semi Final.

Edit:
Good fight back by Hurkacz now match is level in third set by 5 - 5 lets wait who is going to win and qualify for semifinal against Norrie.

Stefanos Tsitsipas was almost upset as well. He will be facing Basilashvili next, this is the QF already so I'm going on the over here. My multi-bets have been rekt with this seeded players being upset, but what can we do? So staying with just singles for now.

Yeah, however, he made it and the score is over so I will take that win today.

I also did try one multibet early, just lucky, but the second time, and with so many upsets, I got rekt early so I just decided to bet on match that I can predict.

I could have made money on the Norrie vs Schwartzman, however, due to time zone difference, wasn't able to bet on it.

Still Grigor Dimitrov at the end, he is really playing high level tennis so it's really hard to stop that type of player. Will be a tough call against Norrie .

But I will still go with Grigor Dimitrov here, I will not be surprised if the match just go to 2 sets as he can really dominate from the first set and not give him opponent a breathing room.

Dimitrov's performance in this tournament is quite impressive, for me after beating Medvedev he is becomes favorite in this tournament after Tsitsipas and Zverev, I prefer bet on ML for Dimitrov in this first semifinal match and for the quarterfinal bet on Tsitsipas and Zverev with low odds.

The studio panel on Amazon Prime were talking up Hurkacz and were giving him the win.
I think a lot of people didnt think Dimitrov could back up the win against Medvedev but he played
brilliantly, he deserves it, he is a long time on the circuit and would be classed as an under achiever.

I saw a bit of that match and also a bit of Norroe's match against Swartzman, Norrie did brilliantly
also, winning in 2 sets, 6-0, 6-2.

It really has been a tournament of upsets but still on the mens side #2 and #3 seeds are yet to play
their Q-finals.

I really want Dimitrov to win Indian Wells.Perhaps this will be his tournament.
His performance isn't very predictable and consistent. He could win against anyone, but he could also lose against anyone. He was considered a major talent a few years ago("baby Federer"),but he never achieved the level of Djokovic,Federer and Nadal. This is probably caused by his personal life-having lots of girlfriends,I guess. Grin
He is 30 years old now and it's time to for him to win some Masters tournaments.

I think the winner of the tournament is very likely to come from the bottom half of the draw. Both Tsitsipas and Zverev should beat both Dimitrov and Norrie.
The best chance Dimitrov or Norrie has really is if Tsitsipas and Zverev face each other in the semi and play a long, exhausting match so they're not 100% fresh for the final... but this is not so likely in a best of 3 sets match. If it was a slam and best of 5 sets, it might have more of an effect.

Yup, he is really playing good in this tournament. It was surprising that he get this far, beating players who have beat him previously in straight sets. Maybe age and experience really caught up on him at this stage of his career.

So I will root for him to win this year. He could have been a big names years ago and shows promises. But I guess, it's not that late to win Indian Wells even at age 30 now.

Ok mate, makes sense. Same here, I can only watch and bet on few matches and it's very early here, like 6 am.

As I have said previously, in the Norrie vs Schwartzman, I was really suprised that Schwartzman has reach the quarter, so I bet against him against Norrie.

First semis, Norrie vs Dimitrov, I call that this match will go on 3 sets so Over @1.89, very attractive odds already.

It really has been a tournament of upsets but still on the mens side #2 and #3 seeds are yet to play
their Q-finals.

Thats the way its going to play out, Dimitrov v Norrie and potentially Tsitsipas or Zverev
in the final. ATM its Basilashvilli ahead in the 3rd, and looking like winning the match.

Very interesting match between Dimitrov v Norrie, I think I will go with Norrie after I win
some Satoshi's on the Rugby!

On the womens side the Q-finals are set, Azarenka v Ostapenko and Jabeur v Badosa.
No top 10 seeded player, Jabeur is seeded 12 and the others in the 20's, it just proves
how open the womens game is. I hope Jabeur wins but I'm not betting on any.

::::::::::EDIT::::::::::

Tsitsipas beaten by Basilashvilli

Both Tsitsipas and Zverev lost in the quarter finals.

So I guess it's Norrie who will be the top seed amongst the four at #21 LOL. He will be up against Dimitrov #23. Tough call for this match but I have Norrie here.

And then on the other side, Basilashvilli vs Fritz. I'm going with Fritz in this match.

So for me it will be Norrie vs Fritz in the finals.

it's not that late to win Indian Wells even at age 30 now.
Yeah it's never too late, age is just a number.

Azarenka advance to final after 3 set epic match against Ostapenko, she will face Badosa.
I also thought the same that Jabeur seemed to be going to the final, but after the first set how strong Badosa was I immediately made a bet under 19.5 and it was true that Badosa won in straight sets 6-3 and 6-3, and who competed in the final were seeded 21 and 27, there was no dominance in women.

^^ I thought that Ostapenko will go to the finals after she won the first set. And she still has the chance even if she losses the second. But Azarenka's experience was the key difference here. I will go and bet for Azarenka, time for her to get another tournament in her bag, former #1.

As with the men's side, there are a lot of upsets and there are no top 10 in the semi finals.

The match has ended and Azarenka has won the last set and the game. It was an enjoyable game, to be honest. I was a neutral fan in this game. After the second set, it was 3-6. 6-3 to Azarenka and she won the final set 7-5 and goes to the finals. I won't be surprised even if she wins the title.

So. I missed out all the Indian Wells drama. Read that top seeds for women's were out early but Zverev, Tsitsi and Medvedev all crashing out so near the end?

Fritz thriving as home favourite I guess hih Kemarit but this seems to be upsets galore for the punters. Too bad I will be drenched in footie this weekend. Starting in 5 mins haha.

Enjoy friends.

Fritz was really good on the field and was running good and hitting some hard balls for Zverev. Zverev was serving pretty bad in this match as well. Good thing i betted on Zverev only in first set and won. If i have betted after that i would have probobly lost big on it

Another top seed out, Fritz did very well to beat Zverev, I didnt have a bet on that game,
luckily as I probably have gone with Zverev.

Its actually nice to see lower seeded players getting a chance at a top tournament
other than a 250 or 500 ranking one.

No top10 seeded player in any semi's
