no one player should be bigger than the tournament itself.

There shouldn't be one player who is bigger than the tournament, but unfortunately there is. Nadal and Federer are on the way out. Djokovic is by far the biggest draw in men's tennis, the only superstar left at the top... and there is also his record in Australia to consider, winning it year after year after year. If Djokovic wasn't allowed to compete, then whoever won the title, everyone would be saying that Djokovic would have won if he'd been there... the whole thing would be a joke. So I think their hands are tied really, they have to accommodate him. But to be honest, regardless of what the AO officials want, I'm surprised the government has allowed it.

Personally, I think the issue of public health and safety should be much more important than the personal reputation of an individual player.
In this way, ordinary people who have been locked up in their homes for months because of Covid get the message that the rules don't apply to some people.
What if it turns out that some tennis players are infected and Covid spreads through the country again. Who will be held accountable for that?
Due to public health and safety problems, as far as I remember, even Wimbledon was canceled and here we have a situation where the rules are adjusted because of one man, in a situation when due to Covid Australians were not even allowed to travel abroad or return to their country for almost 2 years.
For me, this is a shameful decision by the state authorities of Australia and in this way they show their citizens that they are less important than one tennis player, Djokovic.

I agree with you. Public health safety should be the top priority of the government. The AO officials can request them to change the rules as they have their reasons for it, but the government should not be taking these kinds of steps only for one man. Yes, this decision is related to a lot of business stuff but again, public health concern comes above everything. Overall, although even after being a Djokovic fan, I'm quite upset at this decision.

And then suddenly, FAA flip the switch in the second, as both players hold served. But FAA scored his point very easily sometime he will raised to 40-0 and then score the point. The second set was extended to a tie break in which FAA won.

On the 3rd, he just needed just one break point to sell the victory for him.

TBH I'm a bit surprised he lost, im my mind Felix AA's consistency this year
has been patchy and Norrie has been going well recently.

All of my picks (bar Norrie) have won including Zverev to get past De Minaur
just now even after having the chance to win in 2 sets, his performance fell off
while De Minaur had a great second set. He is very talented but Zverev
proved too much this time.

When I saw the score in the first set, I said that Norrie will win because FAA usually broke down in the first set with that kind of score. Good call on making the bet on Norrie -1.5 handicap games. You won it even tho Norrie lost in the end and will now struggled to reach those top 8 places to take him to the final tournament of the year. Also Tsitsipas again lost to Tiafoe i think he just cannot beat him on any tournament

I agree that there should be no exceptions in this case, even if it concerns such outstanding players as Djokovic. But it seems that the authorities of the state of Victoria have recently once again announced that there will be no exceptions for unvaccinated players. On the one hand, I understand the concern of some athletes about how vaccination can affect physical fitness and, consequently, the level of the game shown, and it is clear that no one wants to take risks in vain. On the other hand, the epidemiological situation in the world with COVID19 does not think to calm down, taking a wave-like form and only decisive and consistent actions in this area can lead to the long-awaited end of the epidemic.

I have a few sats on Tsitsipas to win against Tiafoe -3.5. Stepanos won the first set comfortably, and he is up 3-0 on the third set. Not sure what happened as he lost the final set.

So it will be FAA vs Zverev and then Tiafoe vs Schwartzman. It's going to be a tough call for this matches. Probably the safe bet will be to go Over on this match as it is possible that it could extend to another three setter.

Bogdan. She now faces Kostyuk ranked 6. The others to watch are Halep (1) and

It was one of those Weir matches where the losing player had several match points and could easily have won. I suppose what we take away is that these two are very evenly matched. Perhaps Norrie had some extra pressure because he knew that with Hurkacz losing, this was his big chance to gain ranking points... maybe that made the difference on those match points.

Now that she has steadied herself in the tournament, she's a good bet, yes. I think if she wins her next match, the one after is against her childhood hero Halep... it may be possible that psychological anticipation of that match might destabilise her a bit, but actually I think this is unlikely as she seems a very grounded person.

I still lost it mate, totals is 16 for Norrie and 15 for FAA, so that's only 1 handicap point, not enough. He should have won this match if my bet will get through. Lots of chance for Norrie, however, I'll give credit to FAA, when you thought that he was out specially with his performance in the first set, he suddenly find his tennis and the tennis Gods gifted him with a big win.  

Alcaraz vs Berrettini - I have a feeling that this will go down to 2 sets only.

I have to say that FAA's win against Norrie was a well-deserved one as he played better than Norrie. But we cannot say that he will win every match if he's trailing after the first set. But one thing that is sure is that we will get to see a very competitive match - FAA vs Zverev. I think I will opt for Zverev in this match and hope he wins.

Felix AA v Zverev is on now and Zverev has won in 3 sets 1-2.

I didnt have bets on those 2 matches but I do have Swartzman and Sinner
to win, I hope to be able to see the Sinner/Ruud match, it should make
for a great one, I recon it wil be very close.

I think this will be an over 21.5 match 1.93. Alcaraz should need to elevate his game here if he wanted to upset Zverev or at least force a third set.

Tiafoe vs Sinner, another tricky match, but I will go with Tiafoe at ML 3.75.

My multibet in the ATP Vienna quarter-finals lost because I preferred over in the Ruud vs Sinner match, tight in the first set, not happen in the second set, Ruud lost too easily in the second set.
Zverev vs Sinner might be an ideal final but before they have to beat their opponents, Tiafoe is quite impressive here maybe he will surprise again.
