Holy crap! In an unexpected move, Myles Turner has signed with the Milwaukee Bucks. They are really trying to keep Giannis around I guess, or maybe this is part of the rebuild… Either way a great signing for the Bucks and totally unexpected. The Lakers and the Pacers have to be unhappy about this.

Damn, that's a surprise! After Brook Lopez signed with the Clippers I already said to myself "well, that might be it for Giannis" cause not only didn't they seem to get anybody yet, they also are losing valuable assets. Signing Turner of course is a great sign basically telling the rest of the league to not sign off on the Bucks yet.
Obviously more things have to happen since Dame will be out next season and they definitely need more production.

Well, the Bucks have decided to waive Damian Lillard and Giannis is not happy about it.  Dame is coming off injury and probably won't be the same guy, but the way they released him is going to seriously hurt their future.  They still owe him so much money and they're spreading the salary over the next 5 years.  That basically means they aren't going to have money to sign anyone else after Turner...  That sure makes it seem like this is a rebuild move and not a move to keep Giannis...  I wouldn't be surprised to see more trades ahead for the Bucks.

And it was said that Lillard was caught off-guard, but in any case he will be very happy to choose which team he can play now. He can even just signed for a mid level contract and he will still be good. I don't know about this report, but him in the Warriors? That will be crazy with Dame and Curry playing all together. But Dame is injured so teams that are going to take him will have to accept that he will not to rehabilitate for long months. In another crazy news, after Jackson sign a massive contract with the Memphis, he suffered a toe injury while playing off-site of the team’s facility and will require a surgical procedure. Damn, another set back for them. How about Dennis Schroder playing with the Sacramento Kings? We don't know how many teams Dennis have in his career, but we all remember him as bouncing back in the league after declining that huge offer from the Lakers years ago.

Future is uncertain with Lillard in this situation since he's 34 years old now and provably that he need long time to recover from his severe injury and provably that there's no team would take a risk to waste their resources waiting for injured player to comeback. Also we are not really so sure that he perform the same after he recover from his injury that's why his situation is really bad right now.

But hopefully Lillard can still sign with good teams and we can see him doing his dame time thing on the court. We just don't know his what will be his salary but for sure this will get affected on these bad situation happened to him. If he just choose to stay on Portland maybe he won't get waived and this team will wait for his return.

MPJ leaving Denver isn't good at all, and Cam will not be good enough for them at all. I understand the logic and the desire to see Denver do great again, but I agree, their run is officially over. Not just because MPJ is gone, but because what that trade tells us.

It tells us that the ownership do not want to deal with a lot of money issues and all they want is to make sure that we are seeing how things could change for the long term on how to get better results with time. Denver ownership realized, their run is over, so they are jumping ship. Hell they would trade even Jokic, for a lot of first round picks if they could, to start over. Because having Jokic only, won't give you titles, so Murray is still a key piece to keep, but even then, just those two, won't be enough.

I think we should be used to this trend by now. Most likely, cases of NBA team management easily trading their key and role players will become increasingly common.
As for the Nuggets, I think that Porter's trade will have a negative impact on their results next season.

Exactly. It turns out he’s having financial problems. But he’s already earning a decent amount of money, so maybe he’s really been into gambling for a long time and his losses got bigger and bigger overtime. That would explain everything. A guy earning that much shouldn’t be in financial trouble if he’s managing his money properly. If he’s proven guilty, that would probably be the biggest regret of his life.

I honestly thought he was already set to retire, so I was surprised when I saw the news that he signed with the Kings, and with a pretty solid deal too. Three years for $45 million isn’t bad at all. At least he secured a good contract before eventually hanging it up.

I believe he still has a lot to offer and the Kings definitely need someone like him. ever since Fox got traded, the team hasn’t looked the same. Maybe with Schroder’s playoff experience, he can help bring stability and leadership to the roster.

I thought he was going to retire too.  I don't see him making much of an impact and between the Sacramento Kings and the Phoenix Suns (my 2 hometown teams) it is hard to tell which team is more poorly managed.  They both seem to only make roster moves to acquire old players for way over what their declining skills deserve as far as salary.  Sure, Schroder's deal isn't as bad as Bradley Beal's, but who exactly thinks these are good signings?  There has got to be better, younger, more athletic, cheaper players to sign than these guys...

Yeah he is still under investigation but come one, how much is your IQ? i mean what was your necessity to bet?, you have everything in life and more from the background they come, you ahve to be very silly and he is not the only case, in football this also happen a lot.

Speaking of players disrespecting the NBA and the game...  Former Blazer Sebastian Telfair has been sentenced to time in prison for his role in defrauding the NBA Health and Welfare Benefit Plan.  He lied about false claims and pocketed nearly $400,000 as a result.  He's being locked up for failing to try and get a job as well as not checking in with his probation officer.  I'm not sure what his lifetime earnings were, but they were enough that this shouldn't be happening.  Schools really need to do a better job of teaching people about investing so this sort of thing doesn't happen.

Which sucks, because it prevents building star filled teams that's true, but there is no loyalty for anyone anywhere anymore. The plus side is less than the negative side here. Teams are doing whatever they can, to keep it under certain level, so they do not pay too much, and they only care about their pockets, which is normal because many players only ask for the max, even when they do not deserve it, and take a risk, so why wouldn't teams do that too.

Sure Denver would get worse without him, but that doesn't mean Denver was wrong, they were losing money, now they are not. Players done the same thing, how many players got the max, and then waived? Just recently Dame got waived too, 22 million over 5 years spread for him NOT to play at Bucks, that's how much they wanted to get rid of him.

Well, if I was him and I was having some financial problems for the right reasons, I'll walk into a bank and request for a loan. Any bank would be willing to give someone of his profile a decent loan. But I think it can't be anything far from what your asserting about him being a long time gambler before now.

They don't like him to be in the Lakers and that's why they're saying dumb things to him. He's still a contributor to Portland and consistent with double-double with his average. We haven't seen him play yet with Lebron and Luka but if the Lakers think he's fit for them, then that's good for them.

After Myles Turner left the Pacers it left us with a hole at center. Was hoping they might pick up Ayton, but with Haliburton out for the year it was probably going to be hard to convince a decent center to come help us compete. I liked Ayton when he was with Phoenix and he can play.

The Lakers IMO won't dominate the West or even close. Lebron is still good, Luka is still good, and Ayton is good but I don't think it works. Maybe I'm wrong but I think Lebron just needs to hang it up and let the young guys shine.

I thought the same too. However, I noticed some adjustments coming from LeBron when they acquired Luka. We all know geling together as a team with their new teammates takes some time and that is what LeBron doesn't have currently. So,  he needs to make a huge adjustments next season and let them young guns to take over. LeBron could still draw multiple defenders, he'd still be a good starting forward.
To make things short, Luka has to be the MVP if he needs another ring.

I guess that as long as there will be offers for him, he'll just take them. The figures are still good and life changing and so, as long as he can play in the NBA he'll play.

He's no ring chaser I think and that's why whichever teams give him a contract, he'll get them.

This is the expensive lesson that he's learned from declining the huge contract that he's got from the Lakers before.
