Hi Claymore, RX580 8G is not working good in stock just giving 22-23 Mh. Is it because your miner does not support this card yet?

Is that released already?

If it is a 580 and not a mistype, no they are not formally released, they are not supposed to be sold until the 18th but maybe something slipped out..

Anyone have an experience with MSI Gaming Intel B250 LGA 1151,

I can get it to recognize 4 GPUS, but thats it. On it's viewer in the Bios is see's the others as plugged in, but in Windows I can't get them to be recognized.

Its chipset problem, that MBO was not made to support more than 4 GPUs. Sell it and buy AsRock PRO BTC or something...

The only reason I bought this is the ASRock and all the others meant for this are always out of stock.

Its chipset problem, that MBO was not made to support more than 4 GPUs. Sell it and buy AsRock PRO BTC or something...

Its probably very similar to the MSI Gaming 5 mobo. I have 7 GPU's running on it with no issue.

1. Go into BIOS and set PCI-e to Gen 1
2. Set PCI-e to 8x/4x/4x
3. Set Latency to 96 or one higher latency than that
4. Disable all unneeded settings like Audio, etc. (These all use PCIe lanes)
5. One GPU must be directly on Mobo.  I used a passive 16x ribbon cable for this
6. The other 6 cards are on Active Risers
7. Running Windows 10

So the mobo you have is probably similar so you have to split up the PCIe slot resources up in BIOS.  The problem is the processor only has 16 lanes to share that means a single slot so how manufacturers get around the processor limitation is they do a time sharing between all PCIe slots.  If you have a single 16x default time share it takes too long for it to share it with the smaller 4x slots on the mobo. Splitting it up to 8x/4x/4x means it shares 3 PCIe slots at same time.

You will need to use -gsm 1 at least for that many GPU's on a system.

Is there a specific setting for the 8/4/4? The only 3 settings for PCI are the Generation, Latency, and 4g Decoding. My Bios might not have a setting like you're talking about.

I bought this board from Amazon, so I can easily return it if needed, I've just gone through a couple boards trying to get a 6 card rig working. I have a Kaby-Lake CPU and DDR4 ram to use, so it limits be quite a bit on what I can go with.

If someone knows another Mobo that works pretty much plug n play with 6+ Gpus that works with a Kaby-Lake, let me know and I might just return this one.

And cannot be closed.

Not even end task in task bar would be able to close it.

Only in 1 rig and only for claymore run through multipoolhubminer

What happen is multipoolhubminer will try to open another claymore with the same problem

It basically stuck at the initial stage

Restarting the rig works.

But kind of a pain. Also if it happens in the middle of the night I am screwed.

It's always at the initial stage. Happens very rarely. However, the way multipoolhub did is that it sometimes restart the whole thing.

I am using 16.9.1 because it's the only driver that doesn't require bios check.

- use DDU to uninstall 16.9.1
- install 16.11.5
- install Claymore 9.0, use -asm 0 first
- do not overlclock
- match the required power with no more than 80% of the limit of your PSU
- do not use multipoolhub

Once stable you can mod parameters one by one

It rarely happens though. So 16.11.5 That means bios check. I got to bypass signature check. I forget how to do so. But I think I can do that. Are you sure this is the issue? Anyone else have similar problem with I do?

Man, you provided info and asked for advice. It was given. Try it before questioning integrity. At least try to google for a minute...

Thanks for the advice.

May I know who you are? I mean are you familiar with claymore, and stuff?

Hi guys!
Which motherboard is good for a rig with 7 gpus?
I see some from Asus that have 7 PCI-slots.
Any advises?

MSI B250 boards need Windows 10 to be installed on disk with GPT boot sector not the standard MBR.  Otherwise you just get a blank screen.

The bios needs to be adjusted in Advanced\PCI Subsystem Settings:
"PEG0 - Max Link Speed" =  PCIE 2.0
"Above 4GB memory/Crypto Currency mining" = Enabled

I don't just get a blank screen though. It works with 3, I said 4 before but apparently that was just a 1 time fluke. I've tried the Gen 2 and Above 4gb memory and neither of them fix it either.

Hello Claymore miners...

Has anyone successfully tried mining Expanse (EXP) on miningpoolhub?

I use this bat:

EthDcrMiner64.exe --mode 1 -epool asia1.expanse.miningpoolhub.com:20566 -ewal USERNAME.WORKERNAME  -epsw x --etht 100 -allcoins exp -allpools 1 -ttli 80 -tstop 90

and it connects and starts mining, but it seems to mostly reject shares. Is this normal for expanse mining for some reason? In the first few minutes of mining I had 1 accepted share and about 10 rejected shares, so I stopped it and just went back to mining ZEC with that rig.

Crypto currency enthusiast and miner since 2015. Mined approx 200 ETH during 2016 and 2017 and sold it at approximately $US40 each. Then I watched it reach $1000+ each. If anyone bothers to read this stuff pay attention to this: HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL

I started mining with 1 AMD 7950 and 1 R9-280X. Then I gradually built my AMD operation into 12 R9-290s. Awesome ETH hash but ridiculous power consumption and heat. Over the last year I defected to the Nvidia team. I now use GTX 1070s. They were expensive to buy (probably a bargain now) but awesome hash rate vs. power consumption. blah blah blah blah

Hello,

i have two rigs:

1. rig with 5 RX 480 8 GB sapphire nitro OC and today i add one 470 8gb. I make 177 mh, consuption is around 940 w/h( before it was 800w without rx470)

2. rig with 6 sapphire rx470 8 GB nitro OC with anoraks mode bios, i make 164 MHash, but consuption is around 920w/h, which is high if i compere with rig 1.

Do you think i can get less power for same hasrate?I mine only ethereum. I was looking on web page what to mine, but there is less power needed for a little less MH.

any advice? any custom rom suggestion, which is more power friendly Smiley

thank you for help

Ive got rig with 6 giga rx470 4 gb .  168 Mhz Eth only . 1195/2000 clocks, -95 mV AB settings. 860 Watt from the wall.

so i did a little testing yesterday, and i come to 169/170 MH with 6 rx 470 8gb, with around 770w at the wall. i used bios, which i found on the net, then i higher the memory clock to 2050(somewhere i saw, that i can get to 2100, but card was not stable at all, freezes, so i put 2050, and it is stable for 10hours), on trixx i lower voltege for -150mV, so in the end gpuz show 0.9V per card. which is much better then before (940w), but i think i can get a little more wattega down.  with rx 480,which are at 1126/2150 is a little harder to lower voltage, but i came to 0.9V per card on GPUZ. all together i got 830w at the wall and around 179MH. today i will try to get better result today with some micro setting. we will see. (i need to,becouse my electric bill suprised me a little :S).

thank you all for help. i will also try to get better result, but i am totatly noobb on that (but i am learning, hehe).

also, i used claymore 7.4 until esterday. with 9.0 i get a little better result with rx 480, which are mining over 30 MH at DCR 10. (at defoult i got less mh). What dcr are you using, if you are mining only ethereum?
