Liquidity of thousand and sometimes even hundreds? Do you mean that time few weeks ago when volume reached 360k or October when it reached 560k, I can't find any day when volumes were sub-thousands liquidity and volume are different concepts. If you think liquidity is bad, go provide that liquidity. Oh no, you only have 0.1BTC, so you can't. Why fuzz about the liquidity if you personally don't even need it. indeed 0.1BTC holders don't required good liquidity, though they still need tight spreads. Not all people in crypto are holders of 0.1BTC, bigger investors need bigger liquidity to be able to easily take and sell position.

You just describe what a UTXO snapshot is (even than Obyte is a DAG, it still uses many of same logic as Bitcoin, including UTXOs), but that doesn't still explain how you get access to those tokens on another fork. Using the same seed words seems like the easiest way, but also the most riskiest for the users. Safest would be a claiming bot or website, but that means that only those who claim will get the new tokens.
What is the risk? If you are worried they (or someone else) will release a corrupt wallet that steals your keys and original bytes, just move those to a different seed before importing the old seed into obytecash. It's the same deal with every other fork out there. That's the main concern that most people won't do it and will use their existing seed and blame original Obyte when their wallets get emptied.

Yes, they are not the same, but where comes the volume when there is no liquidity? Somebody wash trading on both sides for a loss? You need liquidity if you need dump bigger amounts at market price, basically becoming a taker of the offer. If you don't buy/sell at market price then you are the maker and you are providing the liquidity. Anyone complaining for not enough liquidity, you can fix it yourself by putting up a buy/sell order, which is not at market price.

Somebody wash trading exchanges and pnd groups do it to bring attention you can fix it yourself by putting up a buy/sell order, which is not at market price. in the case of obyte, you simply move the trades under your order lol and it's never fill. Situations with buy orders should be better though. Judging by the chart, investors leave the ship in a panic and are happy to fill any buy orders. whatever you say the market showed the truth - from top 40 down in top 140. Even when the market began to awaken, obyte continues to roll into the abyss. Bob invested $100 at the top in each coin Ethereum, Litecoin, DASH, obyte eth 1389 > 164 = $11.8 ltc 362 > 74 = $20.4 dash 1543 > 117 = $7.5 gbyte 1052 > 43 = $4 Now Bob need 200% grow to align with eth - gbyte top 65 400% grow to align with ltc - gbyte top 46 100% grow to align with dash - gbyte top 88

If you set your sell order just 5% worse than market price and it never fills then there must be plenty of liquidity because how else it never fills if GBYTE/BTC went from 0.007 to 0.01 just within couple months. Real investors don't dump at market price, they sell during longer period, so they could sell it at optimal price. Based on users who use Draw Airdrop, over 90 000 GBYTE has been linked and they are not selling, so it must be just some speculators on exchanges who are dumping.

Tony, you need a rest Hopefully, this foundation will do better than the other foundations established by other coin communities. It has been a natural step during a coin's development process. I believe it will better organize Obyte's efforts.

Honestly, among altcoins, I fall in love with DASH and Obyte (formerly is Byteball). There are some reasons that I fall in love with Obyte: - Its graphics is simple, but very professional, and user friendly. - Its very easy and comfortable steps to do transaction. - Its very fast and cheap transaction fees (I have never witness network congestion with Obyte). - For now, I have one more reason to love Obyte, its discounting cheap price. Obyte Foundation is a newest amazing thing that Obyte team made for this project and Obyte community, years after Obyte's (Byteball) birthday.

I haven't checked this thread for a while, do you guys have an idea whether they are still distributing the coin each month for bitcoin holders?

No, it was stopped over a year ago. However the project still distributes coins in several ways. You can find a list in Obyte Wiki. I personally prefer WorldCommunityGrid distribution that distributes Obyte daily by means of your contributed processing power. I created a thread to explain how it works.

The rewards from WorldCommunityGrid is small. But since I have a machine that sits idle most of the time, participating as a host for some other network, I might as well contribute to the grid. Maybe my machine helps to find a cure for cancer.

It is not intended to make a profit with the reward, but to reward people who provide their free computing capacity for scientific research a little bit. It is also due to the low price of Obyte. If it goes up again, the value of the previous rewards goes up at the same time. This is often forgotten. I still remember times when you could earn 2-3 Bitcoins per month only through signature campaigns. Of course the price of Bitcoin was low at that time. Today it is worth a small fortune.

Obyte is very cheap at the moment, compare to its price at the same period last year, somewhere from $250 to $290. Bitcoin rallies to its nearly same price last year, so now it is the time for altcoins and Obyte rally to their last year price range. After a very Bearish period, lasted more than one year and a half, we finally saw a new Bull run. That's amazing and worths our long waiting time.
it's not cheap, it's still expensive. Fair price is 0 btc. A year ago it was extremely expensive how to turn 120 btc in 1.2 btc? buy obyte : )

GBYTE/BTC price has never been 100x higher than now, so it takes skill to lose that much BTC. Also, if you think it is still not cheap enough then it has been people like you whose fault it is that the price is going lower. You are that typical "investor" who sh!t-talks their own investment and then wonders why the price is dropping. If you don't hold any bytes, then i don't understand what are you whining about.

Obyte is a cheap price, very good price for accumulations. there is no such thing as a cheap Obyte. Whenever you buy, you will get a loss. ATL means 100% of buyers now in loss. Obyte is black hole to bitcoins its investors. you can invest 1 BTC in Obyte and see it increases to 2 or 3 BTC within next months. if you only knew how wrong you are. You are not the first to step on this rake. There is a guy who wants to sell 20000 gbyte, obviously he can not do this, even 1/10 of this will crash the market down 90%. I advise you to think 10 times before buying this crap. Even if belive in this project, it's better to wait another 98% crash and buy x50 more bytes after
