I would say the 120 day is a good long term indicator. Looking at it in log form going out 4 years shows it a little more clearly. http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/mtgoxUSD#rg1460ztgSza1gEMAzm1g120zm2g25zvzlIf the price bounces at the 120 day or "hugs" the 120 day (moves sideways with small dips and pops below and above the line) hen I would agree. The thing to watch for would be a sharp and strong move below the 120 day average. Something like a 20% break below the 120 day would be very bearing. In the short history of Bitocin there is only one instance in which that happened and when that support broke, the exchange rate fell 80% and it took six months to recover back to the trend line. So a big move below the 120 day is probably the closest thing to a long term bear market indicator that Bitcoin has. I know in the spec forum people like to call a 1 hour or 1 day move a "bear market" but late 2011 was the only real bear market Bitcoin has seen. That being said I put the chance of testing the 120 day as low and the chance of breaking through (aka Aug 2011) even lower.

Its called consolidation. When all the small and inexperienced guys are shaked out of the tree, BTC will rise again. From june 2011 till now I have seen a lot of this kind of movements.

A show of hands, please? Does anyone here know someone who's overclocking their machine? I know none of you folks, myself included, would ever void the warranty on such a valuable machine, but OC'ing appears to offer great promise for October machines and machines with die-0 issues. One friend on mine has a October Jupiter with two die 0 boards that was pushing 495Ghs, but it skyrocketed to over 560Ghs when she edited the cgminer.sh file to look like this: if [ $p -eq 2 ] then cmd=$(printf "0x86,0x%02X,0x02,0x11" $c) if [ $c -eq 1 ] then cmd=$(printf "0x86,0x%02X,0x03,0xE2" $c) fi Is my friend's experience unique? Both bad die-0 boards are still silent, yet her hashrate is as high as my 'good' jupiter with no bad dies. Her wattage-per-die is right at 40W, so this is pushing the limits of the specifications of the VRMs, but we added extra cooling fans inside her machine to keep the temps down low to compensate. No hiccups yet! take your time and read all this thread, especially tolip_wen posts. you'll find the answer to your question.

Just wanted to quickly chime in about my experience with Kncminer.
Last week I received my bonus units, after a few initial teething problems (mostly caused by me being thick) I got everything up and running, every unit exceeded my expectations apart from one which seemed to have a fault and eventually went pop on Thursday.
Thursday evening I emailed their customer service and they immediately raised an RMA for me, the board went out Friday and I just received confirmation that it was on its way back to me now.
Great service! Thanks KNCminer
Hi lemonte, are you referring to bonus units for selling units as a re-seller? how do you know when buyers through your re-seller ID got their units and then how do you know when you get yours? Does KNC send you some confirmation that this is happening? Can you see this in the re-seller portal? Thanks merv77 Hi Merv, it shows in the reseller portal, should show how many you have sold. Once you sell 10 of one, you get one for yourself. Thats great, I've sold 12 as indicated in the reseller portal but how do you know when buyers received theirs and you're going to receive yours? Or you just wait for your bonus unit like a surprise waiting to be delivered? Did KNC contact you and tell you they are sending you the bonus unit? I'm excited in getting my bonus Thanks for the quick reply Lemonte What have you sold 12 of, Jupiters? or Neptunes? One morning I got a UPS confirmation, then they arrived on the Monday.

I've sold 12 Neptunes... I was surprised to see it myself, I guess it paid off to have the ad in my signature, plus I paid for advertising on an online classifieds called 'Gumtree' in Australia. That was best $27.95 I ever spent. I didn't offer free hash, but I offered free support, setup and maintenance for 12 months. Plus I bought one myself, but I didn't use my reseller link for myself... I forgot with all the excitement when they went on sale I couldn't be happier if I get a bonus that'll make 2 Neptunes coming my way

For the Jupes, i think they sent them after the 10 have sent, so presume it will be the same for the Neptunes. It's such a great system. I worked flat out to get my Jupiters, but it's been worth it.

Not having a go here, I assure you. Just wondering, because I'd like to know where to rank what you say.
In the past, because I follow this board, I've seen your ... hundreds of posts. Some have been helpful, and I found some, like I'm sure a lot here did - kind of hilarious, as we watched you stumble through trying to set up your first saturn and posting here every 10 minutes ... then, the more recent "humblebrags" that have served to make some people angry.
That said, some of you stuff has been genuinely helpful.
But, to my question: Can you disclose the nature of your relationship with KNC please? Like, fully? ... ie: what discounts you may or may not have gotten, etc?
Again, not having a go at you .... just wondering what weight to put on what you say. And, I don't mean that negatively. Like, I envy your close relationship. Same as I envy bitcoinorama for stepping up like he did. He earned his rep here as a solid dude, and his position shouldn't be begrudged.
At any rate, genuinely curious, not trying to be a dick. Feel free to PM, if you'd rather do that.
- Canadian early Oct. Jup owner, for the record.
Tweak25.... Actually, I'm just a customer, and other than what I've mentioned in here.... there is noting else to connect me to KNC.

What kind of nonsense are you talking? A business that charges what the market will bear for their products is not dishonest. Charging far less than people are willing to pay is called STUPID. If they were priced too high, people wouldn't buy them and the price would go down.
Exactly. KnC did good on the Jupiters, etc. But they're stepping into fraud territory by implying a Q1 ship date for Neptune when there's simply no chance of that happening. You do realize they started 20nm about three months ago?... and they said Q1/Q 2. Plenty of cushion IMHO

So I have one november jupiter that refuses to stay on. Tried each individual ASIC separately, no dice, tried swapping the 1500w EVGA with a 860W Corsair, corsair didnt even turn it on (fans spun up but BBB no lights). Anyone got any ideas?
I'd guess there's a ribbon cable plugged backwards to the controller board possible or faulty cabling to the BBB. Checked all the cables, ribbon and PCiE- no dice.

Have you tried swapping BBB's with another unit? Auto-Salvage style testing..... swap parts 'till you find it... I'm off to pick up my new-used '05 accord from BTC earnings..... Yipppeeeeeee! Doesn't matter if they started 10 years ago. A huge limitation to actually meeting such a date is TSMC's ability to deliver. They haven't yet ramped up 20nm production! TSMC has only taped-out a handful of 20nm designs so far. TSMC production is going to be very limited in Q1. If TSMC does get in a crunch, who are they going to deliver wafers to first, Apple or KnC?

Will you produce a multicurrency device for example Litecoin? ▾ Right now we are busy developing the ASIC Bitcoin miners but we have noticed the interest and we are planning to release a multicurrency device later this year. Source: https://www.kncminer.com/pages/faqAny new´s about that?
