Had a surprisingly hard time finding this so just linking it for anyone that did not see it.

Film from KNC datacenter
http://www.gp.se/nyheter/sverige/1.2276893-datorhall-for-bitcoin-byggs-i-boden

That's been a fairly popular post of late. Someone even posted an English translation of the web page.

Oh well, from the ads at least it's nice to know what "toilet" is in Swedish: toaletten.

Some days it feels like that's where K and C are putting we the customer: in the toaletten.

After seeing that video and then looking at my tiny Terrahash of ANTS whats the point! That is just insane.

Has anyone been able to get a BTC refund for a single Neptune? I even suggested ordering another unit and immediately asking refund on both, if they only refund multiple unit cancellations in BTC. They categorigally refused. Embarrassed

There've been 10 or more people who have gotten refunds in BTC, some of them paid in BTC, some paid in bank transfer.

I paid in BTC. The sales representative mentioned that BTC refund required a managerial decision, but they also refused to give the email address of a manager who has the power to authorize BTC refund. Does anyone have an email address I could appeal my case to?

Same here.  Paid in BTC, BTC refund refused.

I'd offer to sell the order to someone here for BTC (it's from the first day of the first $10k "CA" batch), but I don't think they allow order transfers either.

I just wanted to comment on your signature line: "All safe deposit boxes in banks or financial institutions have been sealed... and may only be opened in the presence of an agent of the I.R.S." - President F.D. Roosevelt, 1933"

The government has done it before. What's to stop them from doing it again?

My family HATED Franklin Delano Roosevelt and felt great relief when they heard on the radio that he had finally died.

I'd ask for KNC to provide us updates but, I don't think many folks here care that much anymore (I don't), and we know KNC won't provide them anyhow.

We shall see, but the thought that we essentially provided an interest free loan is infuriating.

Common people these chips cost $5 to make them each and are sold for 1000 each is it so hard to know how its done
The guys who bought the first batch of neptunes paid the whole design and prebuild phase and the next batch gave them another huge boost to buy even more chips
All that idiot stories that its expenssive to make asics should contact any fab, these things cost crap they are not cpu's but the most stupid chips on the planet.
I can not tell it often enough in big numbers they cost even less then a few dollars, we paid far over $1000 each

Thats not correct. A typical full ASIC design is very expensive.  You have licenses to pay, design costs, foundry costs, wafer, packaging, IP, the list is endless.

One point to consider is that designing a 20nm is vastly different to a 28nm design. In fact a 20nm design is not really economically viable in terms of bitcoin mining and implementation (at this point in time).

Looks like some people are being children again and marking various responses for deletion and asking the moderators to delete them..

This thread for well over 1,400 pages has been mixed topic, KNC abandoned it and doesn't care. It's surprising someone would bother moderating the topic, or that people here still don't like the truth and ask for certain posts to be removed.

I'd ask for KNC to provide us updates but, I don't think many folks here care that much anymore (I don't), and we know KNC won't provide them anyhow.

yep i agree....don't like the posts on mtgox issues that is for sure...what mine we're deleted for

ah well....keep us in a bubble so we keep the neptune orders i suppose is sthe logic

no i would not recommend getting another unit from this last batch ...i heard (correct me if i'm wrong) but i THINK this last batch they offer now is NO REFUNDS.

they otherwise seem very clear that only multiple orders are in btc ..but i've heard of folks denied btc on TWO orders...so what they consider multiple varies i guess

anyway others on here probably have better facts..this is all i know just to move this along

Been away for a while.  I am confused.  Why do ppl want a btc refund?  Take cash and buy more btc than you had before.  Hasn't spot been mostly $800-1000 during most of the Neptune pre-order period?

BTC refunds are being done as the cost in USD converted to BTC at the current rate.
If you want to end up with BTC anyway, it is quicker and cheaper than receiving a USD refund then buying BTC yourself.

And that they flat out lied twice,
and never answered for it, when a vendor who is active on bitcointalk..disappears, questions should be raised.

#1 Their fairness program, not building or selling any "new" products for Q1, but instead mining themselves with all the "new" product they've been creating, proof see video and their known hashrate, essentially, they sold products for Q1, to themselves, at no cost.

Actually worse, product "we" previous customers paid for, with the capital we provided based on good faith.

#2 Delivering a 22nm miner by Q2, how they try to bypass this completely without actually being sued, probably not, but I think it is clear with Plan B, they're gonna do it their way. Which really isn't influenced by anyone on this board.. the machine is in process now.

Watch if Bitcoin's price falls anymore.. "Exclusive used modules now for sale".. what a joke.
And don't fall for it people! If and when you become part of their business model again..

When BTC turn into cash its a taxable event.

When more than $10k gets transferred into your account in the U.S. it fires off a red flag to the IRS

That is why KNC should refund back in the form it was paid in. But they are doing the opposite so that they can have credit for refunding in fiat. The more they have in BTC and the less they have in fiat the better they are too (less taxable events)

KnC needs to put up a sign... BUY at your OWN RISK! As refunds may not be turned in the same currency your product was purchased in. Smiley

That view it was an unfair interest free loan doesn't hold water as far as I'm concerned.  Their fair refund has prevented my Bitcoin adventure from being a disaster in view of the MtGox debacle.  And my miner runs great, albeit suffering from the network hashrate.  So, all in all, thank you KnC.

You know I entered the Bitcoin mining scene when the price was at $140. When Max Keiser and other entered the price was $0.05 a Bitcoin. Now you of all people have some gall to complain with the price being at $600 CAD ($5xx USD) a Bitcoin if it goes down any further. Really now!! If you are that worried about the price I recommend that you get out of Bicton all together and invest your money into the stock exchange. You really also shouldn't be adding your 2 cents to this forum unless you have an order or own a KnC miner as your speculation doesn't mean anything to the rest of Neptune and or Knc owners. Smiley
