I am excited about the price, not excited about paypal at all.
This can't be a whole story, maybe they wait for some ledislation.
Otherwise, why would I buy btc on paypal when I cannot buy thing with that btc and/or move it around?

sorry can't get excited about the Paypal corprotist shit sandwich getting served up for the masses.
you can't deposit your own btc, you can't withdraw your own btc, when you 'spend' btc from paypal the merchant doesn't receive btc ....
I mean wtf is it? It doesn't sound like btc ... it's just some joke token they are using in their internal spreadsheet for peeps who think they are in the btc market but are actually getting played by paypal.

the deception and surreptitious datarape by silicon valley continues, can't cheer this one on.

If it makes my BTC more valuable (in USD), I'm all for it. Bring on the ETFs too!  Grin

Well, now that I'm back from a little happy walk it's time to think about this.

First, glad it's bitcoin and not a paypal shitcoin. A shitcoin would just be their little company scrip, which as we all know is worthless in real terms.

Second: The issue about not having access to your keys is of course bad. Not your keys, not your bitcoin. So I will expect them to have a way to transfer your bitcoin out of their environment and onto the real blockchain. Yes there will be fees, but it will allow us to buy small/medium amounts of bitcoin without having to fuck with bank transfers, even more KYC, or shoving $100 bills into an ATM

Third: Real bitcoin will become a lot more valuable. The nice thing about BC is you can't just print it or fake it. Grows at 6.25 coins per 10 minutes and nothing in the universe can change this. So all these money transfer people are going to need real BTC to function.

Overall bullish. For the smart among us it's not quite true bitcoin (the Govt can easily tell Paypal to give up "your" coins whereas with true BTC they have to beat you with a rubber hose) but it's a start.

Yeah but....it's bitcoin and also 3 other shitcoins that we all know are completely worthless.

Finally found something I can agree with Marcus on. They will screw PayPal hodlers over just like the Robinhood traders get screwed over time and again. With unlimited fractional reserve and holding the real keys, PayPal will be scraping off the cream of trading profits from crypto users' crypto balances. Also by attracting bitcoin hodlers they will pool the btc and help the trading shorters do more damage.

Not quite what I meant: They could have sold paypalcoin or some BS like that which isn't backed by anything. LTC is a little coin but at least it has a public mining community. Huffing ether... is, and I didn't see what the last one was.

If that is what it becomes then it is a shitcoin. We'll see.

I believe it's BCash, the biggest and most worthless scam coin of them all. The *king* of shitcoins (well, next to BSV of course).

If I could tell 2014 me anything, it’d be to chill, everything is going to work out just fine.

Not current valuation but I'd be very happy with 10,000 USD each.
I'd be set up for life then with my coins.
I suppose that's the ultimate dream.

Hmmm... maybe they should have a yearly contest, to see which one is crowned "King of the Shitcoins" each year?

I'm sure it would be a tight vote. A few could win multiple years in a row.

The answer is HODL  Cool

it is not HODLINg if you hodl a paypal database entry and not a real thing.
At least, this is my thinking.
They will funnel your "btc" to people like blockfi and celsius, get money from it while the database entry will do nothing.
On the other hand M. Saylor's true btc buy value went from $425 mil to almost 500 mil in my calculation....

Yeah but giving CSW any kind of award - YEAR AFTER YEAR, would be awful.
