People inside the crypto bubble have gotten far too comfortable with the idea that world domination is inevitable. It's still a tiny and very fragile market.

The theories being thrown around that the Chinese government has taken over mining or central banks are dumping on Yobit are laughable. If they really did decide to do something expect near instant vapourisation.

I don't really think USD is more risky than bitcoin investment.

USD always dominates the World economy and yes its value can deflate but never collapses. But bitcoin? We don't know.

Like any investment, investing in Bitcoin has it is risks. It is good to invest in Bitcoin I think, especially after Aug the first. But it is always good to diversify your portfolio. Invest into gold and other investments since Bitcoin might not work out.

theres a risk of loosing,  If your credit card is stolen or somebody hacks into your bank account there is a good chance you will not lose any money as banks will fix your balance. Even cash can be potentially recovered if the police acts fast. But with Bitcoin if you lose it you lost it for good. There is no mechanism to recover stolen or lost Bitcoins. If somebody hacks into your wallet where you store your Bitcoins you lost them for good. The best way to store your Bitcoins is on disk that is disconnected from the internet

You are asking what amount of bitcoin is at risk? Well if you think that risk, no matter how much bitcoin you invest it is prone to risk. I suggest that don't invest all your bitcoin just invest a half of it and the other half is put on to your wallet. 3-4 btc? wow, that a huge money don't you? I think that you will get a high profit on that. Bitcoin price now was fluctuating and it rises from $1000 to $2600 see how big it is. I think it is not the right time for you to buy bitcoin. My suggestion for you is to wait until its price goes down again. Tha's only my opinion.

I agree with you but risk everywhere whenever you choose to invest in any sort of investment. Bitcoin is always risky and cannot able predict how much you will make and how much you will lose. It always depends on demand and supplies nobody doesn't know when demand increases but we have to wait for the long term in order to make profits on the investment you made.

Insane amounts of risk, would only put money into crypto that you could afford to live without for sometime and afford to lose. I have a designated fund that I use for things like this, I more or less call it my SUPER HIGH RISK or 'throwaway' money that COULD POTENTIALLY make a ton of money, but most of the times the altcoins take a nice big shit. I know this is more speaking about Bitcoin, but I think of it in the same category when it comes to investing, at least right now I do due to the amount of percentage that Bitcoin can lose in seconds.

I don't know about Bitcoin being the highest risk investment but from what I learn by holding Bitcoin it is not risky as it sounds. Right now we can see that Bitcoin is really a volatile currency but it does not mean it is a high risk investment you can actually ride the price action of Bitcoin to your advantage, what I mean about that is you can add more Bitcoin when the prices are low and sell it all when it goes back up. From what I know the price recovery of Bitcoin is one of the fastest out there in the investment world based on my own experience.

Yes, bitcoin no doubt is one of the most popular long term investment which really makes your capital invested almost double and sometimes more than the double of it.
The bitcoin for me is a very good investment by holding and wait till the price reaches a high level. I am fond of the Bitcoin collection at a low price and I enjoy it the most when the price reaches to my targeted value.

I do not know where you live but this does not seem right to me, being invested in the US dollar has a risk too, don’t get me wrong, but the truth is the risk in bitcoin is way higher simply because bitcoin is a very new concept that has not been tested for  a long time, we will have to wait and see if at the end a concept like bitcoin can scale and be used by a lot of persons.

Risk is subjective.  It's my opinion that the USD (and fiat currencies in general) are facing serious problems in the future, so bitcoin feels safer to me.  Of course, not everybody would agree.

Yeah if we dont risk , it will be flavorless. People continues to take a risk because it is part of the life. To take the risk and pass the risk. Any form of bussiness or creating money has a risk as long as we would like to have a better earning it has a risk and we would need to accept that fact. Bitcoin investment is too risky for us but it helps us a lot too.
