Odd, one of my miners is running, fat, dumb and happy. getting work and sending results. But my account page says nothing for over a half hour. Do i trust that this is really hooked to a working server? or do i force it to a backup pool?

Do i trust that this is really hooked to a working server? or do i force it to a backup pool? If you ping the mining server it's pinging back but more than half the responses are lost. So it might be a network issue and may work for some and not for others. Just my 2cents

not just you... just got disconnected from pool
god dammit. hashing away at BTCGuild now but so rarely go there, I have no idea what my site login is. Same here! Had a hard time logging on to eclipse, because I hardly go there. Now that I'm in, I have confirmed that I'm mining at eclipse now. At lease I know the my rig will mining at the backup pool.

My cgminer looked like it was happily mining away this morning, shares being accepted etc... but when I looked at my account, it said my hashrate in the last 10 rounds was zero (zero for everything really.
When I restarted cgminer, the account page starts to showing activity again.
Regarding the outage yesterday, do I have to restart cgminer everytime I loose connectivity with the pool? Even though the display on cgminer shows I am getting accepted shares?

Can someone explain.
Slush's pool is hashing at 26337.091 GH/s. The current block is 4+hours. Recent block times are more or less 1- 4 hours.

BTCGuild are hashing at 71738 GH/s. They report finding blocks roughly every 20-30 minutes, e.g.

Variance is big, even for large pools. Also...your data from BTC Guild is significantly out of order. BTC Guild's average block solve time is ~30-45 minutes. Slush's is ~2 hours (doing rough math). That is *average* time. Both pools have rounds lasting seconds/a few minutes, or multiple hours.

The last 14 days has been about 1:25:09. Just FYI; I keep track.
