I am running the proxy's on 2 different desktops both are new installs of windows 7 64bit ultimate that do nothing but mine Usb Eruptors. I originally had a proxy on a windows 7 32bt ultimate machine which did no better. something else I am noticing, the blade says it is at 6100mh/s yet slush is reporting 5300mh/s over time. These 2 new blocks that happened slush had it at 6000mh/s after an hour it settles down to 5300. 35minutes into this new block now and its down to 5800 on slush. yet the blade says 6100 over that whole time.
Total MHS: 06157 Received: 0000015854 Accepted: 0000010555 Per Minute: 084.12 Efficiency: 066.57% Up Time: 0d,02h,05m,28s
now slush showing 5400mh/s 1 hour later. Total MHS: 06035 Received: 0000019876 Accepted: 0000012974 Per Minute: 082.47 Efficiency: 065.27% Up Time: 0d,02h,37m,19s
The only other thing I can think of is you network. The IP address of your proxy has me a bit perplexed...I've not seen that IP range in a consumer router before. I put all my mining equipment on a separate simple Linksys router so its all on its own network. If nothing else, you may have just gotten a bad blade and you need to get it exchanged. What are your DNS settings. I am also under a corporate network, and I had to use my main gateway (or a router gateway) as my main DNS and I used 2.2.2.2 (google) as my second. This seemed to clear up some of my problems, but the systems I have at home (Avalon mini's) are always running at 60GH 24/7. My 115GH Avalon clones fluctuate from 98GH to 120GH on Slush throughout the day, but they both seem to get the same amount of shares in proportion to what the ones at home get, so I don't understand the fluctuations .... but at least they seem to be operating properly. Internal DNS. dns shouldnt have anything to do with anything since the blade isnt being asked to resolve anything. its only task is to ask for work from an IP u gave it hash and return the results to the IP's. no where in that process is any name resolution taking place. but who knows what possible secret other stuff it may be doing. I have the blade up to 7gh/s now. I put 2 bfgminers on a server and pointed the blade to 2 ip's on the server. so now it is mining steady but maxes out at 7gh/s. and as mentioned if I point it to the same ip it will cease to work, it will get 40 work units then just sit there only rebooting it will get it to ask for more work 40units and done. it demands to have 2 working ip's. I am thinking of hard resetting the blade to see if that clears up something possibly wrong with it.

From the FAQ: What host, login and password I should use in my miner?
You need to use stratum-enabled miner (e.g. cgminer or bfgminer are fine, guiminer not necessarily - it depends). Then use stratum+tcp://stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 as host. As login and password you can use the default worker1, i.e. login pool_login.worker1 and its password (not password of your pool login!).

I love slush's pool, been using it exclusively for months now. I happened to see something about the POT (pay on target) method on Ozcoin where you get more shares if you're the guy who finds the block, than with PPS. Intrigued I decided to give it a shot, and I'm liking it.
I'm wondering if slush would consider adding this in as an option for workers to choose?
Has anyone else tried POT long term? So far my results are favorable.

If you give the finder more, you give everyone else less. I've never found a block and don't expect to. this means that i'd just get less all the time.

So butterfly labs just fudged my order and only sent me 1 out of the 2 mining boxes i ordered, which are both Jalapeno's I called them and they are sending me another one right away.
In the meantime though, the 1 they sent me is hashing at 8.3 GH/s
Edit: Forgot to mention, they have excellent customer service.

Some people typo the amount they want to send as the fee. Once its sent, too late

Why cant the luck stay around 100% for a while. Why from 192% straight down to 40% Almost like the Texas weather, from one extreme to the other in a day. I suspect something is wrong still with slush's pool from the problems we had on Friday. Only 5 blocks found today.. My backup pool which has a less combined hashing power than Slush found 17 blocks for the day so far!!! What is going on? i sughest u this as backup: https://coinex.pw/mining/pools/DEM

That's one side of the coin, but it's nice because it gives you the best of both worlds--you get the consistency of pool mining but you still can taste some of the sweetness of finding the block. I'm actually being paid just as much through POT as I would normally be paid on Slush (actually, I've been getting more consistent returns by a little bit). I've also found 2 or 3 blocks in the past, so it would be neat to see a little higher bump for doing so.

Changing this one to work like that one would just make me look for another pool when i'm content where i am.

give it time. the Stats often do that for a few minutes after a block is found. Look back in an hour.

I've seen that last a while before as well...it will fix itself before the block confirmation/payout.
We've had a bad run of luck for a few days....let's see some luck balance soon. Everyone pray to Satoshi to make it rain.

Well, I just mentioned it as an option because some folks are loyal to pools (as am I), and since I like slush's alot, I figured I'd toss the suggestion. The other pool I'm on lets you choose which payment type you want, so it lets the users tailor it to themselves. Nobody is trying to push you off. It seems like slush's pool is hitting some bum luck the past few days which is why I switched to the other pool just to try it out. Just reporting back my findings.

POT very carefully designed to be fair (that is in the long term it will pay an average of [Bitcoin reward/network difficulty] for every share submitted).

Is it possible that Slush's pool have a mind of its own? I've been pointing my miners to other pools for the sake of checking and comparing results. When I came back to Slush's and resumed mining, my reward balance was about 0.05 btc less than the last time I checked it out (all confirmed). In a similar situation last week, I lost about 0.22 btc when I came back to Slush's and resumed mining. I've let many unexplained losses slide before but this is really getting ridiculous. I'd hate to make any accusation of pilfering but given these circumstances, I can't help think about it.
Slush, what's going on? And while I'm at it, you don't even come to your own thread/forum anymore and address concerns of pool members.
Edit: Changed "skimming" to a more appropriate term -- "pilfering".

This is why I keep going back to the Guild. They have the performance charts and info that I need to see. While other pools can easily add this info for their pools they do not, which makes me think something is always going on. I'll never trust a low fee / free free pool.
