Can someone explain this to me. This is copy pasted from https://mining.bitcoin.cz/stats/. 20957 2013-11-26 15:52:43 0:02:35 12301112 1191 0.00238445 271627 25.10929891 confirmed 20956 2013-11-26 15:50:08 2:06:37 621115370 48184 0.00216099 271626 25.31762960 confirmed 20955 2013-11-26 13:43:31 4:16:28 1269260019 37362 0.00000000 271612 25.06672930 confirmed 20954 2013-11-26 09:27:03 6:10:40 1798179211 177845 0.00265711 271587 25.35120125 confirmed In line 20955, block number 271612 I have a zero payout, but I also obviously mined the block before for over 6 hours, that one for over 4 hours, and the one thereafter for 2 hours. Why is this block paid at zero? I emailed info@bitcoin.cz already 2 days ago. Ive had no response. This concerns me because I'm providing shares to the pool and someone somehow is getting a payout for this block, I checked it on block chain, it was certainly mined by slushes pool. What am I missing here? On the 20955 round you provided significantly less shares than the other rounds, It it likely this happened all towards the end of the round because later shares are weighted more, this prevents pool-hopping. You actually missed out on the beginning of the 20956 round as well. Your ratios as far as (submitted shares/all shares) are as follows: Round#: Ratio: 20957 96.8e-6 20956 77.5e-6 20955 29.4e-6 20954 98.9e-6 But basically you missed so many submissions towards the end you were rounded down to zero by the pool hopping mechanic. The only way to earn shares in Slushes is to be there when the round completes by a fair margin.

New difficulty is 707M. The change occured yesterday evening (UTC), only several hours ago. Maybe it can be mentioned here.. The change to the difficulty has been "only" 16 %. The tempo of difficulty increase is decreasing for several epochs already. I wonder whether it's a permanent change or a temporary one only. :-)

The daily reward graphs at https://mining.bitcoin.cz/stats/graphs/are one day delayed. The latest data point is for Nov 28, which is the day before yesterday (pool time, i.e. UTC). It continues for several days already, but it can't last for too long. I've seen the last data being OK some days ago AFAICR. Some longer time ago, all displayed data were shifted one day in the graph. In fact, the data points were OK (all data displayed), but their X-coordinates (date) were shifted one day. It is not the case now, today the data from the last (complete) day are missing.

But the OP's question has been answered quite well only 4 (four) posts above your one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1976.msg3754997#msg3754997And with the apt remark, that It was explained in this forum to people x times before.I'm not sure whether it's really necessary to repeat the answer again and again. Yes, you have added some apt numbers to the answer, but anyway...

So does a 16% increase in difficulty equal 16% less revenue? (assume no changes to equipment and no changes to participants within the pool, just talking about difficulty as an isolated thing).

I too am having problems with my Slush account! Contacted Slush via Facebook PM asking to check my account...no reply. I had some "old" Confirmed Rewards and some new Confirmed Rewards generated in the last month or so. After the servers were brought back online recently it seems like all the old coins disappeared! Not sure what else to do! Anyone else notice a loss of coins?

So to maintain the same revenues through a 16% difficulty increase would you need to increase your hashing power by 13.8% or 16%?

[edit] One illustrative example: If the diff would rise by 100 % (i.e., the new one would be twice the old one), your earnings would drop to 50 % (or to one half), that is also by 50 %. Then guess what you have to do for to maintain your earnings: increase your power by 50 % or by 100 %? Sure by 100 %, to twice the original value.

Which is what many people are doing, hence the rapid rise in hashing power (quite apart from new miners joining). It's like the Cold War arms race all over again, with both sides going for bigger and better to out-do the other. Ultimately neither will win, having spent a fortune trying, but there will be losers. It's also known as the Red Queen hypothesis.

My usual complaint.... payouts not happening again.... It's unclear if the 0.05 threshold is applied, my account settings are still on 0.01, but payouts have been happening in a random fashion, way above 0.01 and below 0.05. This is frustrating and annoying. I may 'spit the dummy' and explore elsewhere if this doesn't get sorted...

Been having no issue with the payouts... they just take longer than normal, but every payment has been successful.

Pondering what the issue with reported hash rate and hash rate slush shows with Blades... All my Asic USB Miners are dead on their reported hash rate and the slush report. for example one group of eruptors 22 report 7300mh/s and slush shows 7202.33 which is essentially the same taking into account luck... However my blades are all consistently 600-2000mh/s wrong. these 2 grouped together should be 18gh/s yet slush has been showing 15619.041 for days. 10.89/ 8.06/ 7.81Gh/s | A:8791 R:191+0(2.3%) HW:476/.80% 11.97/11.10/10.44Gh/s | A:66460 R:1463+0(2.2%) HW:24273/3.9% Another blade is running at 8gh/s but consistently shows 7511.846. I guess that one isnt as bad.
just seems odd the blades have a bigger loss compared to 22 eruptors. Is that normal?
