If Mjbmonetarymetals would be into doing something with A (same colours as C) (someone with more BTC's than me should donate to him for that) that might be a possibility.

Good point. A hard limit should be set somewhere not in the Billion range though...

Difficulty scales supply to demand. You have to make a case for difficulty being too low for the near future demand (which doesn't seem the case IMHO), and in that case for the need of capping supply instead of just raising difficulty.

If demand raises healthily then two billion is fine. It's like one million wallets with 2,000 coins on average. Remember the final aim is to maximize demand, not to maximize the value per coin (it's not the same).

I so agree with this, there should not be a hard cap at all, it should be allowed to float. one million wallets is a small amount of wallets, if the YACoin takes off, like we all want it to. Most of the other coins or I should say, many of the other coins are very restrictive and limited in their minting, and that will be a serious problem in the coming future. As more people come to cryptocurrency the need for more coin will absolutely balloon. There is a psychological effect that takes place when someone trades a dollar and gets .00001 coin of anything. That is beginning to take effect with Bitcoin and will only get worse, at least that has been the case and the first comment made by non-tech friends that I talk to about Bitcoin or set them up with a Bitcoin wallet.

+1 Thank you for this great insight.  The idea that supply of a 'coin' shouldn't matter at all as it can be infinitely divisible--just move over decimal places and change the prefix.  However, it does matter as we are dealing with fiat where value is derived from perception, and the psychological impact of trading 1 dollar for 0.00001 of something is just as you said.  I believe we are witnessing this effect in the converse with infinitecoin? 

With that said, I am concerned with the massive drops in difficulty at N-changes.  People have complained about this coin basically being a GPU premine than CPU, but it seems to be the opposite.  The people who starting mining earlier had to do so at a much higher difficulty, and if the price per coin remained the same, it becomes more instantaneously profitable after difficulty drops with N-Change.  Am I way off?

+ Hi Beave, yes I do think you are correct that we are seeing the effects with infinitecoin, and I'm afraid that it just might get worse as time goes on. Regarding the N-Change, I have to study that. What effect could mining difficult have if the difficulty drops? Anyone have any ideas as to the possible affect? Would it cause people to flock to the coin, and cause people to start investing on in the coin? I'm not sure what the effects in the long term will be.

I like YAK Logo more, but this one is at least not boring like all the other ones. IMHO YAC should be different to all these 08/15 Junkcoins to be recognised and accepted by more people. Apple had a long time the slogan "Think different" and over time it helped a lot to be different than the mainstream to become mainsteam 

+ I like the idea of putting it to a vote, the A and B should be more 3D. Personally I like C, I think it looks great. Remember I voted for the old Ox logo but I really like C, it has grown on my very quickly.

The value of fiat is based off of perception, and a funny-looking animal as the symbol is great to sway the perception of an outsider? Start YACoin, go to Help > Debug window > Console and then type checkwallet and hit enter. Afterwards do the same but use repairwallet

Both have passed, but my wallet is hanging still, and cannot sync pass the ~74000 block and counting, as blocks are found. It just "sits" there...

Shutdown YACoin, wait like 30 seconds and then run it with -reindex option. Easiest way to do it on Win OS would be to create a shortcut
for yacoin-qt.exe file, right click on shortcut and select Properties and then add -reindex after program path at Target field. For me it is:

Start YACoin using shortcut and let it complete blockchain reindex. Once the job is done (it might take a while), shutdown YACoin again, replace
-reindex with -rescan and then run it again. Afterwards remove -rescan else wallet will be rescanned on every run.

Nope! It's not working. Idid all of that but it's just sitting there and counts found blocks. I have reinstalled win and saved wallet.dat, now that wallet.dat is somehow corrupted. I have tryed 32bit and 64bit version of wallet and it is the same thing. But, without that wallet.dat the wallet loads, with different addres, without any problems. So how can I get my address back?

I do not understand what you mean with "just sitting there and counts found blocks". Once you use old wallet, does YACoin loads in full or not?
If it does, are there any coins in old wallet? At what stage of YACoin loading message "Cannot initialise keypool" appears?

Not sure if YACoin supports it but Bitcoin has command -salvagewallet that is used the same way as -rescan and -reindex ones. You should
make a copy of old wallet first, just in case something goes wrong, e.g. never ever work on original file.

Once it loads it come to the certain point of reading blocks and just stops. After that it just counts the blocks currently found. It has only come to that point, and I have llike 5 coins confirmed and the rest is uncomfirmed...

I have just copied wallet.dat on flashdrive, format the hard drive, reinstalled Win7 U x64, started the yacoin wallet (yacoin-qt-0.4.0.0-g2nd-winx64, tryed also with 32bit version), after succesfull start of wallet I turned it off, copied wallet.dat from the flashdrive and then all the problems started.
Now! Can you tell me how can I salvage my coins from that wallet?

Since this is when the problem started, I'm guessing that something got corrupted on the copy to/from the flashdrive. Do you have another copy of your wallet?

If checkwallet=true then you should be able to dumpprivkeys aswell and import it into another wallet. Use sairons version with coin controll so you don't miss any hidden change adresses.

I have no more ideas or possible solutions. You might find fix if you post about the issue on Bitcoin Technical Support part of forum or check for
fix on this forum and elsewhere on Internet. There are programs for wallet management, one of them is called pywallet or something like that.

My version of wallet is v0.4.0.0-g32a928e-yac-wm-alpha, it is sairon's latest Coin Control 32-bit version. Check if it works with your old wallet.dat

Actually, it did work, but now it stops ~35000 block and when I tried to rescue some confirmed coins by sending them to the address i got the message: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusal way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."
