I think these machines will not be able to give 100% accurate result. In studies of this type there will always be errors. But even if this percentage of accuracy is high, then this will benefit humanity.
I'm not knowledgable enough to say if these machines will work fine or not. I'm more thinking about the morality of the system. Imagine this machine tells you that you may have cancer on an airport.. before a very long flight ... what would go through your mind? Hmm.... very good guess, I hadn't even thought of. But the test result is not a diagnosis. Only a number of clinical tests can accurately a final diagnosis. it's not the machine's job to diagnose you with cancer, more like warn you that you may have a problem with your health. seek a medical professional. If this device simply says that you have health problems, this is nonsense. Health problems for any person! He just does not know about them. And the user who used this machine, and got the result that you have health problems, will contact the doctor. The doctor will refute or confirm this diagnosis.) Question. If you need to see a doctor, why do you need this device? Which will not give you the exact answer and make you care and worry!

Hello, please the following article: https://medium.com/healthmonitor/detection-of-lung-cancer-e17f6a7a03eaModus operandi of Health Monitor The basic concept of the analysis is the spectral analysis of the mixture of gases that the subject exhales. The spectrum of the exhaled air always changes if someone suffers from any pulmonary pathology. The device allows these changes to be observed, measured and registered. Metabolism of cancer cells significantly changes and they begin to synthesize a number of volatile organic compounds: • Ammonia • Isoprene • Ethan • Pentane • Acetone Each of these substances absorbs light with a certain wavelength. Due to their technological features Health Monitor capture and quantify these spectral disturbances. If high concentrations of the above compounds are detected in the exhaled air, then this is an occasion to undergo a full screening involving CT, MRI, and so on.

Yes, this will save so much times and money. Some hospitals in my country are always crowded by people who just want to check up, maybe this will help to reduce them.

If this device finds disease, we need another ICO for the medicine
I do not know much about diabetes, but if you are talking about cancer there is certainly room for innovation. If Health Monitor will indeed be able to indicate lung cancer in the earliest stages, then we should develop treatments that are highly focused in contrast to the chemo and wide area radiation therapies. As far as I understand, this device is designed to detect many diseases. And the Health Monitor will still be improved and new diseases will add to the existing list of diseases. In general, the device will be of interest to many people. I'm a bit sceptical about adding more diseases, since probably no many of them can be found just by breathing thtough some tube. I'm no doctor, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the list can expand a lot.

I'm not sure that it will make diagnostic better. People would use it for just to try it and see what will it say. But it can make some early diagnostics which can help too many people.

Dont get your hopes high. For good medical diagnostic, you will always need good doctors that read the machines. Healtmonitor is an indicator, not a gamechanger when it comes to diagnosis

Healtmonitor is an indicator, not a gamechanger when it comes to diagnosis I agree that these machines can give only superficial diagnosis, after which it will be necessary to undergo complete examination in the clinic and consult with doctor.

What about partner with Datum to store medical docs, I think it will worth alot I would see that only Datum would benefit from this theoretical partnership. Or what do you recon that Health Monitor would gain from their data collection? Well health monitor could sell it to insurance companies, but that is really not what I think they will do. Just saying that data is really valuable, probably good for scientific research Wasn't the whole point of Datum that users could sell their data themselves? Or are you saying that Health Monitor could buy the health data from the users? I think that would make the whole business plan too scattered. I like that they are focused on their product rather then expanding their business model aimlessly. One can make money by selling groceries, but i don't see any reason why Healt Monitor should partner up anything with that area either .

Ok, I make a check in your Health Monitor and get the result that my breath contains certain values or percentages or whatever of acetone, ammonia, ethan, etc. When I go with these results to my physician does he know what these test results mean? Or generally speaking, are medics normally familiar with the biomarkers in breathed air?

I think it's more like the Health Monitor already assesses the results and only gives out "See a doctor and get checked for Lung Cancer" or "No abnormalities"

I think a good doctor should know this, just like he knows blood biomarkers. But to confirm the diagnosis, he will have to conduct additional studies

I do some research . I just know that medical diagnostics are so advanced.
I used to see relatives used glucose monitoring to measure the blood sugar,It will be very painful.
Now we have non invasive diagnosi. This project is great.
